my car got towed on a Saturday night. after I get my car towed the next day I called to get my keys to my house. & keys to my other cars, & so I can go to work, but the receptionist at the front desk extended her rude courtesy to me and was very rude and very uneasy to talk to. and her attitude was very unbelievable so rude & so unprofessional. I was parked on a street with no sign of cleaning or anything still they towed my car. My car was at their lot from April 17th I picked it up today the 19th first thing at 9:27am and they charged me 705 dollars to get it out On top of the 200 I had to pay at the SLPD station. They charged me for 3 days storage Fee? Why? hasn't even been full 3 days? Second how on earth they charged me 345 dollars to tow the car 1 mile is beyond me. Terrible place no one wears a mask or social distance either. I know I'm being ripped off and I want my towing fees and access notice from this place which I requested over the phone they said call back tomorrow and talk to manager. read more

I had asked my sister to pass the phone to JOSE who is towing her car so I can find out how much I am going to pay and what the next steps are due to the situation. He was giving attitude to my sister And he was forcing her to PAY UPFRONT. Let me remind you my sister just got into a car accident and she isn't in the great condition to speak. Totally takes advantage of bad situations. My daughter's car was stolen and San Leandro Towing was on rotation to recover the car. They towed it 3.6 miles and had it in their possession for about 5 hours and charged us $340, ridiculous!! And when I called to see if they could cut my daughter a break the guy went into combat mode and basically belitted me for not having insurance coverage that would cover the tow and said we need to "suck it up". Keep looking you'll find someone cheaper that deserves your business. (The driver that took us to look at the car was very nice but that's the only positive thing I have to say) read more

We got stuck on 580 East four miles from their company. Called the towing company and gave clear directions about where we were. They said they would be there in fifteen minutes. We have been waiting for over 40 minutes and they still aren't here. We are literally four miles away from them; it should not take this long, and if they can't leave right away they should give us a more realistic time estimate. read more

Professional. Courteous and Friendly service. Fair pricing. We own Champion Crane. When our crane truck broke down in Oakland we needed a towing company that could handle a big truck. San Leandro Towing quoted us over the phone and sooner than expected! Frisco knew exactly what to do and was efficient about doing it. He knew the roads so knew the height requirements on our route back to Fremont and where to be more cautious. Safety first! His truck is in excellent condition, obviously well maintained. We hope to never need a towing company again, but if we do we will call San Leandro Towing. read more

They are not only overcharged me from what was quoted on the phone, they used intimidation tactics forcing me into paying extra gate fee. The car was towed away on the Saturday night. I called the towing company the next morning. The operator told me they won't charge extra storage fee if I come by Monday. On Monday, I called them again before I went there. They said I can come by anytime before they closed, and they even reassured me about the fees. I went there 30 minutes before they closed, they said the gate was closed and I have to come back the next day. The car accident was a terrible ordeal, and this company made it a whole lot worse. The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. They are forcing me to pay the initial towing, fees for 2 days of storage, gate fee and disposal of the car. I asked them to get back the brand new battery I bought 2 weeks ago, and they refused to give it back Worse of all, they failed to record my payment properly and now I am being harassed by collection agency for $3,665 because of their mistakes. This towing company lack of ethics and professionalism, and they should drop from the city's contractor list. DO NOT Recommend to use this towing company. read more

Terrible customer service, dishonest, unethical, and unprofessional!! This is is one of the most unethical and unprofessional towing companies. I requested services, they overcharged from was quoted on the phone. Not only that, but they charged my credit card three times for the same one time service. I called the main office and the manager was disrespectful telling me that I have to go to the bank to deal with that situation, that they did not have anything to do with charging my credit card three times. That was real bullshit, my credit card company did not swiped my VISA three times, it was the stupid towing truck driver and whoever requested the credit card authorization code. I am an unsatisfied customer, and I would never ever request services from this dishonest towing company. I give 0 starts because they don't deserve more than that. read more

The girl at the front needs to be fired RIGHT AWAY. She made an already miserable experience absolutely unbearable. Drove an hour there and back TWICE in one morning because this woman is an absolute FAILURE and could NOT do her job. Over the course of two phone calls I had with her earlier that morning she couldn't tell me the first time what I needed to bring with me exactly and when I came back after being denied she refused me the second trip again. She's an absolute embarrassment to this otherwise OK facility. And throughout this entire grueling process - she was so unbelievably RUDE. I have been dealing with towing companies for thirty years and this is without a doubt the worst one! They were dispatched by CHP to tow my companies 26 foot bobtail. The driver lied from the beginning about how the tow would be handled. Took the truck and our driver to their yard then basically held them hostage until the bill was paid. They towed it from the Bay Bridge toll plaza to their yard in San Leandro and charged $1000.00. Their driver was rude and obnoxious. I am going to file a complaint with the CHP and urge them to remove them from their rotation list to respond to freeway accidents. They are a disgrace and embarrassment to all the fine towing companies that are out there serving the motoring public! Unfortunately I have to give one star to post this review.
