Taho ordered is hot, fresh and mildly sweet. Pork siopao which is new is not tasty. I like white dough instead of tasting like pandesal. Pork asado with sauce has no taste

Bruh, I was going to comment that the hours are silly on this Yelp page, went to go double check…read moretheir Google page and apparently it's permanently closed? I'm gonna check with my NorCal moots about this but sucks if that's true. I was going to comment on how this is one of few bastions of affordable, slightly more unique food in the bay area, but I guess that's not the case. I'm spoiled by having a Dollar Hits in SoCal literally down the street from me so I can't say this place compares, but it's at least an option for NorCal, you know? This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice. They have all the classics here, isaw (sometimes Dollar Hits doesn't have this unless you request -it's chicken intestines), large intestines, chicken skin, kwek kwek (battered quail eggs), and Tender Juicy bright red filipino hot dogs (a must). You can also order a side of rice and the sauces were self serve (made it a bit sticky). It gets a bit smoky in there even with the fans, but overall had an enjoyable time the time when I did visit.

Let's start with the food. The food is not great. This place only gets one star for the sisig which…read morein my opinion still needs more acidity. The food on the sticks does not compare at all to other places I've had it especially the Philippines. The fish ball and lobster balls were dry and needing the fish ball sauce which they didn't have. Only sauce I did find that they say was an all around sauce was pretty much a watered down mang Tomas sauce. The bbq stick was rubber and way too sweet. The chicharon bulaklak was also rubber and not crunchy at all. The kikiam was okay. The isaw was not good at all, it lack seasoning. The shumai was dry. Service was you pretty much get what you want and heat it up yourself. Place was empty as there wasn't much people. Definitely first and last time coming here.

I did sneak one for myself while it was still fresh, and no one noticed since 50 lumpia is A LOT. The ladies working here are super nice and sweet. I called them a day in advance to put in an order of 50 lumpia, and it was super easy to put in an order, and they told me it'll be ready by my pickup time the next day. When I got there, the lumpia were ready! They accepted tap payment, which was very convenient. Fantastic service. When enjoyed the next day, when heated up, they still remained crispy and delicious and STILL smelled amazing! I shared them with my Chinoy boyfirend and his family, and they're a hit! Definitely going to come back here if I need lumpia for future parties and potluck!

My husband's go to is lechon kawali. Perfectly deep fried pork served with the classic Filipino "all purpose sauce". I usually steal one or two pieces off his plate but the serving is a healthy size I could never finish one by myself. My personal fave is beef sinigang. There's a a generous amount of meat and it's always so tender. I would love if they made it a little more sour but that's my personal preference. The protein might be different depending on the day but they've all been good. The place is tiny, maybe like 10 chairs so you might have to wait at prime times. Service is friendly. A couple times they've told me to pick up to go orders at a certain time but I had to wait an additional 15-20min after arriving but not too big of a deal.

We waited about 15 mins to be seated. We ordered while we waited so as soon as we sat down the food was ready, yayyy! They were able to accommodate my 10month old and the high chair was perfect for his size. The place is super tiny so they don't allow strollers inside, and there's also no restroom. Now onto the food. The tosilog was sooo good! The meat was seasoned and grilled perfectly. The java rice is okay, I wish they have garlic rice as an option. Hubby got the longanisa and it was good too. Portions are huge. Service was good even though they had a full house. They're not on DoorDash which is a bummer. We would definitely come back again but not during rush hour.

Thought this was a good chance to try out Tapsilog Express for the first time. As I was really excited to see a filipino restaurant in the area. However, about an 1.5hr back into work, I realized from my symptoms, I got food poisoning. I'll save the details for privacy reasons. From this, it extremely affected how I functioned for the rest of my shift. Only after visiting Yelp reviews to see it has 6 health violations already is concerning. I would hope the staff and team are taking more serious precautions to ensure proper food handling and safety.

We went yesterday because we had family visiting and wanted to treat them to an authentic Filipino meal. We spent over $200 and tipped well. They were happy with the food, and enjoyed the portions, but the service was pretty lacking. We were the only table there. The did not check on us at all. We had to ask for water to be refilled. When it came time to take food to go, we had to ask for the container, bags, and the right sized containers and the right sized bags. The older woman with the jet black hair was the one who rude and dismissive. When I asked her for a larger bag, she said that was the largest one. I pointed out that we gave them a very generous tip and that I see larger brown bags, but she still did not offer me one. She was very defensive, and said she thought I was referring to a plastic bag. Folks, don't make the mistake of over tipping here. You don't get the service you expect and deserve. The food is good though, but the service sucks! We spent, with the tip, about $240.

Something to keep in mind if you don't want your food to get cold. Service was friendly and sufficient, and there was a bit of indoor seating available, though it looked like they were cleaning up the place about a half hour before closing time. I got the pork bbq silog and pork sisig, enough for at least two meals. Both dishes were tasty, with some ingredients I didn't expect, like the side of peas and carrots that came with the bbq silog, or the white sauce/mayo glaze on the pork sisig dish, which was something I'm not used to and felt was unnecessary. The pork bbq sticks were yummy, flavorful charred meat I really enjoyed and not too fatty. Even the eggs were cooked perfectly. If looking for some good filipino cuisine, I recommend this spot.
