These guys are doing it right. Exactly what you hope for in a local business…read more I found DC through a Facebook group when I asked for computer repair rec's. Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and that my PC turned out really well. I did run into an overheating issue, but they were very understanding and offered to take a look at it and help fix the problem. Overall, I'm really happy with their service and would definitely recommend them!

It has been 6 years since Shannon built my pre-pandemic PC and it has run great all of this time…read moreexcept for a gradually worsening reboot time (which I could deal with) -- unfortunately I had a little hard drive glitch a couple weeks back which made me realize my PC was on borrowed time, so I knew it was time to pay a visit to Shannon and SD Bytes. Rather than upselling me on a brand-new and pricey rebuild, Shannon cloned all of my data over from my current hard drive, put it on a new hard drive, and upgraded me to Windows 11. And through sheer determination, Shannon also fixed my reboot time -- it went from 2.5 hours down to under a minute. This was without a doubt a hugely time-consuming and frustrating process, but Shannon and his team went above and beyond to diagnose and repair it. I absolutely recommend Shannon and SD Bytes if you need a repair or an upgrade or a rebuild or something brand new. You won't find a more competent and honest team in San Diego!

First, I came to San Diego Cell Phone Repair since they emailed me back first, telling me they…read morecould fix my iPhone 6s Plus rear camera for $50. I went to their "office" and it was disappointment from start to finish. I walked into a room with 2 guys, a desk, and pure awkwardness. I told him that I was the one who inquired about the new iPhone camera on yelp. He looked through his messy desk and determined he couldn't find my part and I would have to wait til Monday. So I left. Just downstairs in the same building, was San Diego Jailbreak. I went into a nicer "office" where the owner, Jeff, was very polite and helpful. He quoted me the same price as his competitor, but he actually had the iPhone part I needed. What's cool about Jeff's business is that he has a waiting room, so you don't have to deal with the awkwardness of watching someone fix your phone. Part of the time I was waiting, I sat near his desk to watch some college football on TV and he was even social enough to have some good conversation while he worked. He was able to replace my iPhone camera within 15 minutes and it was as painless as it could possibly be. He did it quick at a fair price of $50. I guess the only thing the other guys had a leg up on, was that they offered me a 6 month warranty on the new camera and San Diego Jailbreak only offered 60 days. So, my piece of mind is a little questionable. Despite that, Jeff seems like the type of guy who would take care of his customers. Also, he's a self proclaimed perfectionist and I can totally see that watching him work. I'll be back here for any phone repairs in the future! 5 stars!

I highly recommend On-Site Techs for any of your computer service needs…read more I needed to transfer data from my old laptop to a new laptop so that I could function at work without down time. I searched online for Tech Support in San Diego and then contacted several firms. Some were not responding to voice mail messages and, when we eventually spoke, had high rates and long lead times before a tech could be sent to my office. John Airy of On-Site Techs returned my call almost immediately, has reasonable rates and could see me the next day. Once John assessed the time for transfer of data from computer to computer, he recommended saving time by taking the two laptops to his location to complete the data transfer. He then was willing to return on a holiday to adjust the views on the new computer to my familiarity so that I could function for the next work day. John is extremely knowledgeable, proficient and efficient. He communicated well to explain how views could be adjusted and he made good suggestions without tying to upsell programs. He has an excellent professional manner. I intend to retain the services of On-Site Techs as my local source for any of my computer issues. John is simply outstanding for his business performances.

I have never seen more conman-like, devious business owner in all of my years using Yelp…read morecontractors. By far and away, the most disgusting, repulsive, lying personality I've ever dealth with. Everything I say here is backed up by hard evidence. The guy scheduled appointment with me for phone battery replacement. Said he'd need to get some glue for this and assured me he'd get - appointment was 5 days away. On the morning of the appointment, a couple of hours before I had to come over, I shot him a quick message to confirm he got the glue. He said No and said the phone repair is high risk and he didn't wanna do it. I told him this is my only phone, I need to use it a lot for calls and meetings, and it's kind of dying. I asked him if he knew he's not gonna do the battery swap, why did he take the job, sat on the appointment for 5 days, and didnt reach out? If I hadnt contacted him I would have come over for the appointment he was never going to honor. He started getting defensive, and started lying to my face about "telling me he needed parts", then he started accusing me of "threatening him", being rude to him and started threatening me himself. He started telling me he'll report my account to Yelp and that he'll sue me. After I politely asked him to go away and leave me alone TWICE, the guy kept messaging me over and over, while telling me I'm harassing him... He gave me "final warning from Franchitti's Fix LLC". I stopped talking to him and he kept sending me harassing and threatening Yelp messages, and another one just arrived, while I'm writing this very review. I'm a busy person, and don't often post Yelp reviews, but I felt with how much of a piece of work this guy is it's worth my time to warn others, because I'd hate to see innocent people walking away with the horrible feeling in their stomach, after wasting days on this guy, like I did. If you're scheduling an appointment with him - know that it means nothing to him, and he's most likely not gonna honor it. If you will "have the nerve" to ask him why he's not doing the job he took on, or confront him why he took the appointment and wasted many days of your time waiting for it, without telling you he has no intention to do the job - expect to be lied to your face about appointment being scheduled in the first place, expect to be threatened with being reported to Yelp, and to be sued. After you try to gracefully extract yourself from the conversation, and take your business elsewhere and put this guy behind you - expect him to continue harassing you with Yelp messages and threatening you for a while longer, in order to get a rise out of you and make you say something he could use to accuse you of misconduct, while he's simultaneously accusing *you* of harassing, disrespecting and threatening him. Alternatively, if you have a shred of common sense - STAY AWAY, and DON'T EVER CONTACT this guy in the first place. The choice is yours. EDIT: This is an edit in response to business owner's reply. Apparently, asking him about the glue he said he needed and would get is considered "hostile or disrespectful behavior", because right after he said he doesnt have it on the morning of the appointment, and I asked him why he made me wait 5 days and didn't tell me he's not gonna do the job, he started saying phone is "high risk", because it's thin and foldable. Don't be hostile to him, y'all - don't ask him why he's refusing to do the job, when you wait for days and come over for a scheduled, and confirmed appointment. This guy can lie all he wants, but one thing he cannot do is tamper with the evidence - he does not have access to modify chat history.
