Soft shell crab roll

This is probably the best sushi restaurant in Hanford if you looking for sushi. The restaurant is always clean. The service is very friendly. I usually order to go and it a good experience overall all.

Spicy tuna roll

I was in Hanford and my friend told me I had to try Samurai Sushi, so we went for lunch. The place is really big with plenty of seating, and we got seated super fast and were able to order right away, which I loved. Everyone there was super helpful and friendly. We started with the coconut sake and it was sooo good. They bring it out with two shot glasses, which was cute. If you like coconut, you'll definitely like this. We also tried the fried chicken gyoza and it was really good. I liked it a lot. We tried a few rolls and my favorite was the spicy tuna roll. It's simple, but the tuna tasted fresh and it had a nice kick. We also got a California roll, which was good, but the spicy tuna was definitely my favorite. We also tried the chicken yakisoba. It's a noodle dish with chicken and veggies and it was really good. Great flavor and the portion size was big enough to share. Overall, I'm really happy I tried this place. The food came out fast, the people were super nice, and it was just a really good experience. Definitely a solid lunch spot in Hanford!

Solid sushi spot for Hanford. The fish is surprisingly fresh, and the quality holds up well, which isn't always easy to find in a smaller town. Yes, some of the specialty rolls are on the pricier side, but there are definitely reasonably priced rolls depending on what you're looking for or want. I've tried a mix of rolls here, and most have been hits. The presentation is clean, and the portions are decent. It's not a budget sushi joint, but you can still eat well without breaking the bank depending on what you order. Service has always been good, and the atmosphere is laid-back but clean. For Hanford, it's a solid sushi spot when the sushi cravings hit. --- Let me know if you wa

Taro bubble tea and Matcha bubble tea

This is the best sushi place in Hanford! Starting off strong with their interior: tall ceiling, open space that feels filled yet not crowded. Comfortable booths, samurai themed decor, clean. Food: great! We had 4 rolls altogether. I was very satisfied with the amount of salmon in the Philadelphia roll. It was a fattier cut of salmon, so you have to chew it a bit more. The roll itself had a really nice full bite to it and tasted great. Our other rolls were equally as tasty! Easy bites, easy chews. Best flavor and bite we've found in Hanford. Drink: the Taro and the Matcha bubble teas were good. The boba itself was alright, almost comparable to a boba tea shop but not quite. The flavor profile of both drinks however was great! Hospitality: very friendly waitress! She had the nicest smile, she was patient and answered any questions we had. Service with a smile makes a huge difference in the dining experience. We only went for lunch and had very very nice service. Price: comfortable. Very good fair prices for their menu items, generous sized rolls. It came out to $84 for the 4 rolls and 2 bubble teas. $100 after tip, well deserved. Overall, solid 8.5 / 10.

Not my first visit..... probably my last I've been to Samurai Sushi somewhere between 5 and 10 times since they opened. I kept going back.....hoping it'd eventually grow on me. The staff is always friendly, I'll give them that. But the service.....well, it can be a bit hit or miss. The restaurant is reasonably clean and has a pleasant atmosphere with the exception of the air conditioning. Thermostat is set too high and it stays a little warm inside the restaurant. My biggest issue has always been with the sushi itself. The texture and temperature.....they just don't feel right. The rolls always come out kinda soft, and they're never as chilled as I'd expect. Not warm exactly, but definitely not cold enough. The fish feels like it's missing that firm bite.....and the rice always seems a little too soft or packed down. Not horrible.....but definitely not what I'm used to. This last visit I got the Mexican Monkey roll.....and yeah, it was way bigger than I thought it'd be. I also got the spicy scallop roll with salmon. My wife ordered a different one, but I don't remember the name. We both ordered edamame. I got the spicy, she got the plain salted. Both were kinda mushy.....especially mine. The spicy edamame was so soft it was hard to eat. The husks were breaking apart in my mouth.....and it felt like chewing soggy string. Turns out that's usually a sign of overcooking. Edamame's already been blanched when frozen.....it only needs a quick steam. Cook it too long and it turns into the mess I had in front of me. Now I've seen plenty of people in town say they love this place. So maybe it's just me.....maybe my preferences are different. I'm not saying the place is bad. I'm saying it's just not for me. Rating: 2 stars Friendly staff.....but the sushi's never quite right and the edamame was a mess. I think I've given it enough chances.

Nigiri appetizer

Came in on a weekday, restaurant was full, I had high hopes. We got greeted, and got sat right away!:) Sashimi dinner: didn't get a picture but it was disappointing! Fish was cut weird, super thin and fish was tough. Nigiri: Delicious, wasn't a fan of the sushi rice Habanero roll: I didn't know what I was eating. It was very messy! Strong taste of pickled onions. Shrimp tempura was soggy. Over all 2/5. Great service though!

I love samurai Sushi!! I lived in Japan for 15 years and this is one of the best sushi places I have ever been to. Very friendly staff and a great vibe inside. My favorite restaurant in Hanford.I will be going back! Thank you Samurai Sushi!

Pretty good first impression honestly! We got seated right away once a majority of our group showed up. I didn't catch our waitress's name but she was very attentive. I forgot to take a picture of my food but I had the baked salmon roll and would rate it a 8/10. Inside was nice and spacious. They also have high chairs available if needed. Food presentation was 10/10 with favorable portions for the bento boxes. I can't wait to come back to try something new.

When we want sushi and don't want to go out of town for it, we come here. We have not had any issues with their sushi as it is always good. They are always busy being one of the few sushi spots around so the service isn't always the fastest. The workers are always nice though so we don't mind. Definitely recommend, just expect a wait if it is a Friday evening.

Had a great meal here today with a friend. Service was excellent and so was the food. This is a great little sushi spot and my first time visiting, but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again

Christina F.

We entered the well lit restaurant, and we had a short wait for a table. We ordered edamame, miso soup, shrimp tempura, chicken wings, bento boxes, and Thai tea. Aside from the Thai tea being not sweet enough for me, everything was wonderfully delicious.

This place was definitely so worth it! Our wait time was said to be 20 mins but it was less than that. The host and waitress were both super nice and friendly. Food was amazinggg. My drink I would say was missing more mango flavor to it but it was still good. I would definitely recommend this place!

Love the Crunch Dragon Roll and we always fight over the jalapeño poppers. The spicy ramen is also delicious and a generous portion.

I am under the impression that this establishment is now under a different management. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was clean. Same as before but perhaps a little understaffed as is the case with almost every restaurant these days due to the costs of business. I ordered tonkotsu ramen, a dragon roll, and a peach based boba. Our three items were brought out in a timely manner and the food was on point. Granted that it wasn't super busy but the staff was hustling to take care of the dine-in and to-go orders. I hope this place keeps their consistency and their doors open for many years to come since Lemoore does not have many options and this place adds some spice to the bland list of available options in this town.

Went to pick up the order and was told it wasn't ready to wait 15 more mins, waited, went back inside and got told it wasn't done yet to wait another 15 mins that they only had one lady cooking and they were busy. Went back inside after 20 mins to check and it was finally ready just to get home try our drinks and find out they were awful, we ordered a mocha and banana boba and a mango. The mocha and banana tasted like water down chocolate milk and the mango had a sour and nasty like dirty dish taste, I called and talked to the same lady that took the order and all I got was a 'I explained to him that we were busy' not even an apology, then I asked what could be done about the drinks and she said that I could get them remade but I told her I wanted them refunded and said 'like I said' 'you can bring them back and have them remade, other ways I can't help you'. I once again asked her for a refund instead since we had literally just a sip from it and said that we could get one if they were sealed or if they haven't been drink from. I've been a customer for a while now and this experience has completely ruined my experience, since this place it's already on the pricy side the horrible service makes it not worth it.

Our server was very attentive and had a pleasing personality but what stood out the most was her good knowledge of the menu and perhaps her physical appearance. The environment was casual - casino attire but not too relaxed ie flip flops and tank tops would definitely be out of place. I liked the music - it wasn't loud - and a lot of variety. Thanks to the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe who envisioned this wonderful restaurant in the Tachi Casino and Resort. I had the shrimp cocktail and clam chowder, and both were delicious. The reason behind the bad review was the manager. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, she was friendly, attentive, and deserving of recognition. Unfortunately, a manager (Carmen) came to our table and apologized for our waitress supposedly being rude, even though she had been wonderful to us the entire time. The manager's comments felt unnecessary and she was unprofessional, and we felt terrible that our waitress was being spoken about that way in front of customers. This place wasn't very busy, but they have two self service kiosks for ordering menu items. They also have a large shelf in the back for pick-up using Grub-hub or Uber eats. I ordered off the Kiosk thinking it would be quicker. There was a wait, I saw patrons who ordered after me at the counter get their food before mine. I didn't make a big deal as the manager asked if I had the Santa Barbara burger and she assured me the cook was making it fresh. I ordered the Santa Barbara with Avocado and added bacon. I opted for fries. They carry Pepsi products which I was glad to see, but I gave up drinking soda so I opted for the Cucumer lime refresher they have. Oh that tasted so good. My burger arrived hot and fresh. It had plenty of avocado. I didn't realize how big this burger sandwich was. Did my stomach shrinK? I was only able to eat half. The lettuce was shredded so it was hard to keep that in tact with every bite. The onions were carmelized and the sourdough bread had plenty of mayo on it. This sandwich was made perfectly. I have zero complaints. My fries were cooked perfectly and I ate them with mustard and ketchup you can get at the condiment bar. The last time I had a habit burger, I had a Turkey burger. While ordering through the kiosk, I didn't see a Turkey burger as an option. Did it get removed? They restrooms were clean and you're able to wash your hands only without someone locking you out. Great job and kudos to the manager for keeping this place well maintained and operating. Parking: I came at 4pm right when all the high schoolers got out of school so this area was busy and the parking lot was full. I had to park in the parking meant for the tire shop. I guess Friday night is Hamburger night. See you some more on Yelp 2026.
