Once we sat down, I immediately started looking over the specialty rolls, hoping something would catch my eye. Nothing really jumped out at me, so I decided to keep it simple and went with the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Boston Roll. I also grabbed a green tea to drink. While we were there, I noticed they had a pretty steady carryout business. People were coming in and picking up their orders throughout our visit, which is always a good sign. When our food came out, I grabbed the chopsticks and dug right in. Both rolls were good, although I thought the Spicy Tuna could have used a little more flavor. Nothing a little wasabi couldn't fix, though--it definitely added the extra punch I was looking for. Overall, Ginzu satisfied my sushi craving. Nothing blew me away, but the food was good, and I'd definitely consider coming back the next time I'm in the mood for sushi.

We met for lunch and were seated upstairs, funnily enough the same place we sat the first time. Service was very good and fast. There were plenty of tables full on a Friday lunchtime, but it was a holiday weekend. We ordered sandos all around. My egg salad one was excellent with the soft bread and creamy mayo. I had regular fries and they were good. Our Japanese pumpkin and potato croquettes were wonderful and crunchy and addictive. My friend felt all the nostalgic feels about her chicken katsu sando and enjoyed her loaded fries. BF also enjoyed his pork sando. We have ordered carry-outs repeatedly from here and it will be in our regular rotation.

Though, on a very hot day with hot ramen (though they also do sushi) the front should be shut. As for the Ramen. Some stuff worked and some didn't. The egg was delicious, soft boiled perfectly with jammy yolks and had great soy sauce flavor. The noodles were not over cooked and the meat was tender and flavorful. However, both mine and my husbands broth (I had the black garlic he had the pork) were not so great. Almost a metallic taste to them. Also, almost no vegetables in the Ramen. I was pretty disappointed. Mine only had green onions in it. The tempura was also kinda soggy. Some piece were crispy but on the broccoli and sweet potato, they were soggy. The server was great. They were very attentive. We did not complain about the food because we were hot and just wanted to hurry up instead of waiting longer. Also, they need to fix some of their tables that are very wobbly!

It's small enough to be an intimate experience while still having your own space to enjoy the meal. We will certainly be visiting again, even if it means making the hour drive just to have some ramen!

The people there were overall very nice and friendly. I opted for the braised beef mazeman ramen. It was superb! I'd say better than most ramen I've had in WI. The smoked bone marrow butter made it particularly rich and delicious. So yeah, finally made it to Tochi and sure glad I did!

To start off, I ordered plum wine, which of course was delicious. For our appetizer we ordered the pan fried gyoza. It was so light and airy absolutely delicious. Now for the main course, I went with the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I have to say this is the best pineapple fried rice I have had from any Thai restaurant. The curry powder is strong here, which is my favorite. It came with a side of Thai chili sauce which was definitely a unique surprise, but I absolutely loved it. It complimented the dish very well. My boyfriend went with the pad Thai. It was also absolutely delicious. He ate the whole thing. Now I will say I didn't finish my dish and took the rest home however it seems the waiter took offense and asked me if there was something wrong with the fried rice! I was definitely shocked and I said no it was absolutely delicious, but I just can't finish it. It was definitely a awkward moment to be asked that especially in front of other people in the restaurant. I certainly was not complaining about anything. I was thoroughly enjoying my meal. So yes, I was a little disappointed by that interaction and hoping if other people don't finish their meals that they're going to be questioned. If I didn't like my meal, I wouldn't be asking for her to go box that's for sure. I'm not knocking any stars for that of course.... I had a great time. We enjoyed our food and drinks. The waiter was working very hard. It started getting really busy and he was apologizing for the delay because it did take a while for our food to come out. We will definitely be returning, and I am excited to try another dish off their menu.

I didn't expect that my travel partners would be in the mood for sushi while staying in Sheboygan -…read morebut what can I say? ...the palate wants what it wants. The meal started on shaky ground with the tuna tataki. Dry and somewhat fishy, I had no desire to have more than one piece. The ponzu sauce also did not have the flavorful, citrusy tartness that could have saved this dish. Thankfully, things did get better. The Spanish grasshopper roll was flavorful, much more fresh tasting, and had a nice level of heat. The dragon roll and the crazy roll were also decent but not amazing. Thankfully, the tataki set the bar pretty low for everything else. Service was also decent in that our server was friendly but somewhat forgetful and main courses didn't quite arrive together leaving some to stare at their food while others waited for theirs. This was not a major issue, though, and only helps to explain why this was just an average experience. One final note was how unusually dark the restaurant was with very dark paint-chipped walls. Additionally, the walk to the restrooms took me past a small graveyard of broken and unused chairs. The spiral bound menus were all in various levels of disrepair. The only reason I mention these things is because there's a certain level of attention to small details that can make or break my level of comfort in eating sushi at any particular restaurant. Pricing was shockingly inexpensive for the amount of food. Unsurprisingly, a service charge was added since our group was large - but I was shocked that it was only 15% - which I have never seen. We all made sure to add to the gratuity reflective of our appreciation for the hard work of our server. Overall, not fantastic - but definitely not the worst sushi place I have been. Not sure I have a strong desire to give this one another try, though.

Jennifer made some recommendations based on our tastes - even on the beer side, which I was a bit hesitant to try, given my unfamiliarity. Loved the different sauces that were added to the dishes, and others were brought as well for appetizers that were ordered. Splurged on food here, I must say. We were really hungry, and I was eager to try a variety of what Sake House had to offer, so we ordered more than we normally would for a standard outing. It was cool that they even have Boba on their menu! And the taste was fantastic! We ate all our food and had no trouble with conversations, given the quiet environment. I stopped by for a scoop of mint chip custard and it was creamy, rich, cool, and delicious. But - really is there no bad day for custard? No, there isn't! This place is busy all year round, and for good reason. For the custard, there is usually a flavor of the day, plus the usual favorites, vanilla and chocolate, plus a sundae and shake of the month. A sign outdoors advertises the flavor of the day and a monthly menu of each flavor of the day is available online, if you want to plan ahead for your visit. If you've not been to this Milwaukee icon, it's a must-stop; the custard is really, really good. The retail store is set up like a 50s type diner, and there are plenty of folks ready to take your order. There is no seating indoors, just a few tables for standing-only to munch and chat.
