They were so easy to work with on a bulk order. A seven pound bag of furikake popcorn, a pound of mochi crunch, and several bag of pre-packaged furikake popcorn was only $100! It was such a hit at my wedding that people went out and bought their own bags to take back to the mainland. I ordered the bulk bag about a week before the event and everything was ready for me when I needed to pick it up. They were so nice and professional! This actually "store" is like a snack window, basically, in an industrial office park area. You wouldn't hang out here, you'd just pick up what you need and be off. This is definitely a MUST GO whenever I visit Hawaii! All the times that my family and I went to this Samurai location, were great! Except this past time that my aunty and I went. My aunty got the blue vanilla and coconut flavors, and the blue vanilla flavored ice was good, but there was something about the coconut. At first when we tasted it, it tasted like coconut, but the aftertaste tasted something along the lines of a corn tortilla. I mean, corn tortillas aren't bad, I just wouldn't want to eat it with my coconut samurai ice cream. Other than that and the really small parking, everything else was good! The Hawaiian Frost stuff is basically the revamped and rebranded version of the good old Samurai ice cake and sherbet products. I think it's very clever that they now make a visually-appealing swirly soft serve that looks like colorful poop and still tastes like artificial flavorings. Honestly, there are much better and healthier frozen treats available nowadays, but if you find yourself in the depths of buttfcking Egypt Kalihi then it's worth a visit to Samurai to try the soft serve. i like it, i love it, i want some more of it! My family and I have been coming to this place for the past 2 months at least once a week. We love Samurai soft serve. There's usually about 3 or 4 flavors at a time and you can mix any flavor. If you follow them on IG, samurai_brand, they usually post what flavors they have that day or if they have special. Every now and then they'll have giveaways on IG, so i suggest to follow them. The girls are always so happy to help which really makes the drive from Kapolei to Kalihi worth it. The prices are well worth the amount of soft serve you get. They do have other menu items, but we only tried the soft serve so far. I did want to try the popcorn...maybe next time. They have more of a flavor selection of the samurai soft serve, and have popcorn like the Aiea one, but they also sell hotdogs and combos like their soft serve and hot dog or apple pie ala mode. When you get there you may have to tandem park, but usually people are cool with moving their cars around, or look for street parking. You ring a doorbell for service if no one is there, but the staff there was friendly. It's my old school flavors with a new school style...but don't fret! It still comes with a wooden spoon! I got the large strawberry and vanilla, which tasted just like I remembered it. My bf got the orange with vanilla...so thing orange cream. At 3.50 a piece you can't go wrong, and it's such a huge portion. Next time I'm getting a small. The flavors change, but I think you can always expect to see strawberry vanilla there. I did not know there was a Samurai right in Kalihi on Umi Street, until a coworker informed me. I work nearby at the Kalihi Transit Center. It is so awesome to come here on lunch break to get a cool snack! The first time I came, I bought the blue set of Hawaiian Frost 4 oz cups. The flavors that come in that set is 2 cups each of Strawberry Banana, Strawberry Vanilla, and Honeydew Melon. The second time I came, I bought the blue set again and decided to give the Orange set a try which is 2 cups each of Strawberry, Orange Swirl, and Chocolate Haupia flavors. My favorite flavors: I love the original flavor, Strawberry/Vanilla, it is creamy and smooth and tasty! My second favorite is the Honeydew Melon, I love this better than eating a Melona bar. It is creamy texture and delicious honeydew flavor. And my third favorite is the Orange Swirl, for all of you Orange Creamsicle lovers, this one is a must try. So why, you may ask, do I purchase the Blue Set? Well, it's only $8 and I don't mind eating the Strawberry Banana. I guess I could ask if I could change the flavors of the set next time. It is a small kiosk take out kind of place. Parking is right on the side of the building, or there is street parking. The times that I have come there has been parking and no line, that is right after 12 noon. To get serviced, you must press a doorbell that is under a clear plastic box. Likes: I like the texture of the soft serve. It's light, refreshing and not too icy or watery. They have a good variety of favors here. The chocolate malt, peanut butter, honeydew and banana are all good. You can get up to 4 flavors too. Dislikes: I've gotten charged more that the $4 for the large a couple times, so I'm not sure if I got overcharged or they changed their price but didn't update their menu prices. I don't like the strawberry (tastes too fake) and the vanilla (I don't understand why it's blue). Favorites: I normally don't like lychee flavored things, but their lychee soft serve is really refreshing with the right amount of creaminess. Great place to grab a dessert to cool off.
