Ate here with friends. One had the boiled crawfish, she really enjoyed them but wished they were a little milder option. They only have spicy and extra spicy. One had the fresh catch flounder with crawfish sauce, he said it was wonderful. One had grilled chicken, she said it was good but not like wow just grilled chicken. I had the Red Snapper with crawfish sauce it was very delicious. The service was good and the food was delivered in a very timely manner. Both couples have the hot brownie with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. I recommend that and it is definitely big enough for two. The ambiance was really nice with an outdoor patio if you wanted. read more

I ordered the coconut shrimp. They were cooked just right and served with yummy fresh green beans and my other side was onion rings. I would order it again for sure. The service was great as well. read more

**This is really a 3.5 star review.** The family chose Sam's Boat because ... crawfish. (Not me. I'm too lazy for the peel-and-suck routine.) Because of the negative reviews that seem to populate this page, I offered up several other options to no avail. Glad I was outvoted. First, we were greeted by the hosts when our part of six walked into the door on a busy Sunday evening. We were seated within minutes, and our server was at our table for drink orders in about as long as it took me to check in on Yelp. The beer menu is a good one, with several domestics and micros on tap. There are daily adult beverage specials, if that's your thing. I'm not sure who was running the kitchen on our visit, but kudos, because everything came out hot and fresh. Furthermore, everything was damn delicious. -- The wings were as good as any I've had ... served crisp with a melty tender interior. Calamari was a little soggy, but tasty. The fried oysters were surprisingly good ... sweet to the point that they tasted fresh and local. And the red beans and rice were some of the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My only two complaints: The lack of soap in the built-in dispensers (they at least put out a pump bottle), and no Louisiana hot sauce. Why would you serve up Cajun fare and offer only Cholula and Tabasco? Either way, the food and experience here were excellent, and I plan to return. read more

Came for a weekend trip they were very helpful and great fresh food. I would love to come back very soon

We love the ambiance, food, drinks and everything here as the best sports bar around. Snapper Pontchatrain is amazing, as are the fried shrimp, crab queso, and all the bar foods. So many tv screens, it's the best. read more

A big shout out to our awesome waitress, Soliel. She was super friendly and gave us the best service. Good grilled fish tacos with a generous portion of fish. Make sure you ask for salsa because they are bland otherwise. The french fries were amazingly delicious. Nice outdoor seating. read more

Had a wonderful experience today out at Sam's Boat, seating was awesome out on the deck in the little gazebo. Service was exceptional Soleil (Sunshine) was awesome..and I'm sure she got her steps in walking out to take care of us. :-) Food was good. No complaints. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon experience. We've been there multiple times and today was for sure the best, not that the other times haven't been but today was great! read more

The sliders were delicious. The red fish was dry with the only saving grace being the sauce. The mac and cheese was sour and tasted like rotten milk. The chicken sandwich was so cold the cheese didn't melt. I excused myself nd threw up in the bathroom while my guest threw up in the parking lot. Our waitress was amazing! The atmosphere and people are great, BUT the food??? Absolutely disgusting. read more

Just got back from lunch at Sam's Boat. The food was good, but they had issues with the draft beer, couldn't get my wife's order correct even though it was described specifically. Then the credit card machine wouldn't work and for some reason they didn't have the idea to take down card numbers and enter them manually later. On top of this, after I described how to do this, the manager started being argumentative with me. I asked her not to argue and she just had to get in the last word, "I'm not arguing." (Uh that's arguing!). It's been a tough three days she says to me after I told her we'd been waiting for 20 minutes just to pay the bills. I looked at her and said, "That's not my problem. I'm the customer." Then she decided to be sarcastic and rude and with a big smile ear to ear said "Have a nice day!" Won't be going back. read more

It was packed full on a Sunday afternoon. There is a lot of fried items in the menu and it can get a bit heavy. The calamari was good and a bit spicy with the addition of jalapeños. I ordered gumbo, but was accidentally brought out red beans and rice. They tasted pretty good. It has a wide variety of offers different days of the week. Wide drink selections. read more

Service was good but the food was pretty off for us. We ordered Boats sampler - crab balls are good, calamari was super rubbery, crab queso tasted like just regular queso and fried shrimp was just meh Shrimp cocktail - good - cocktail sauce was but good 1 lb of shrimp meal - over cooked. Super rubbery and tough to eat. They brought another batch but same thing A fresh fish blackened - good Kids meal cheeseburger meal - good read more

I have to say I was really disappointed this time. It's crawfish season and by far this was the worst one. They were small and flavorless. All of the seasoning was on the outside of the shell. The corn, potatoes, and mushrooms had great flavor but even the sausage was bland. Don't think I'll be coming back during crawfish season. read more

I was looking forward to eating crawfish at Sam's Boat. Love the crawfish here or I used to. Here with a friend. His crawfish were way bigger than mine. Not only did I have a rude waitresses. The manager wasn't any better, he only offered to take the crawfish off the bill instead of offering to get me a new batch. I'm so disappointed by the customer service I recieved today. Pictures are attached. Save yourself 9.99 a pound. Eat crawfish somewhere else. read more

Would not recommend this place the crab is overcooked and super dry it look very brown and just tiny as hell lmaooo. If I could give them zero stars I would. WORST experience EVER! Wings HORRIBLE, shrimp hard as hell and the potatoes are tiny AF wtf ! Our waitress was very sweet but kept messing up so that made it very frustrating. Never will be back here again unless it's for a drink and a good view. Service and food SUCKS. Seriously, don't waste your money please ! #tryingtosaveyoumoney lmaoooo read more

Saturday dinner visit Crabby hostess (host actually) Slow service. Thaw and heat food quality. Overcooked shrimp. Stale bun on burger Got burger order wrong No follow up on food by waitress Lots of "playing around" by staff, especially by one particular manager with the waitresses. Avoid this place. read more

This review is only for my dish the crab balls, the stuffed redfish, Mac & cheese & crispy new potatoes. Crab balls-ok, but didn't taste much crab meat. Stuffed redfish- good, but was expecting more for the price. Mac & cheese- a little dry & not very cheesy. Crispy new potatoes-ok. Overall, I will definitely go back, however I'll try something else. The location is nice with outdoor seating (too cold so we sat inside) & service was good. read more

What happened to this place? My wife and I used to love getting the red beans and rice. Either the chef has gotten lazy or this new recipe is garbage. The red beans were nothing more than canned kidney beans thrown in beef broth. Sprinkled some parsley and boom that's it. No seasoning and straight trash. The corn muffin was so hard it could have been used at Minute Maid for batting practice. I will also add that I'm not sure if it was the weather (a little cold and rainy) but this place was completely dead in a Friday night. Do better Sam's boat! read more

This was such a great place to watch the game. We spent about 5 hours here. The waitress was attentive the entire time. The prices were excellent for what you receive. This was my first experience, but I thoroughly enjoyed. There weren't very many people of color who were at this location, but during the half time show everyone in the place, young and older, regardless of race were jamming to the West Coast music. Oh, and the food was tasty!! read more

Went here last week for a late lunch. Chose this place for the beautiful patio combined with amazing weather. Food was great, as always. If you come here definitely try the crab queso! Sam's Sunset Kitchen - Patio View - Sports Bars Near Me - Seabrook, Texas

One of the few quality places on the water that's full scale restaurant/bar (without a heavy crowd). The ambience is there if you're looking for it. The service is great as we were seated immediately and had no issues or lapse in timing with our order. We all ordered the wings as they were suggested- which were awesome. My only two caveats are the restrooms were very poor maintained and stunk very much, and the unsweet tea was sweet upon 3 attempts- HOWEVER, our waitress (Ulyssa, Alyssa) made sure to make a fresh batch of unsweet tea and fix the issue! Would go back for sure read more

Best thing on the menu: SNAPPER PONTRATRAIN! I recently brought a friend here for the first time. He was extremely impressed with the view on the water and food. The bar wraps around the outside patio as well. (Indoor and outdoor TV's) They have great crawfish/boiled shrimp and oysters. read more

Really disappointed. Order crab legs and they had none of the tools that you use to crack the legs. The waitress was new and was very sweet and did the best she could. The manager did come over and adjust the bill but overall it was not a good experience and wont be returning. read more

I'm sorry but DFW has better quality in seafood than this place. I got so sick. The service was great. Other than that food took forever.

The food was good until my bf ate a long dark hair in his food half way through the meal.. He pulled it out of his mouth and it was at least 16 inches long. The waitress apologized and said the manager would come out and talk as well as get new food and remove his meal from the bill. We did get a new plate but that was it, no real care from the manager and no change in the bill. So gross. We didn't want cause a big scene but the way it was handled was unprofessional. Also, I think the margarita mix is rotten, the margaritas were literally the worst margaritas I've ever had. I won't eat there again and that's a bummer because they are so close to our house. read more

I've gotten the crab queso a couple times and it was good. I realized after the second time that it doesn't come hot. The cheese is lukewarm and gets stiff fairly quickly. I enjoy the jalapeño chips and their happy hour is great! Overall, the food is decent and the service is good. read more

It was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised on how well we liked this place. All of our dinner plates and appetizers came out delicious. The best part of dinner was the outdoor seating with a gorgeous lake view and we were able to bring our dogs. My only complain is that it was cold and windy tonight, so more outdoor heaters would have helpful read more

This is a good dockside seafood, bar on the water of Clear Lake close to Kemah. Usually crowded, there is an inside bar and outside bar you can smoke at, lots of choices of beer and seafood but mostly represents a bar with food. A lot of locals here that work on the water or related, or just visitors in town, this is the go to place on nasa pkwy for lunch or hanging out during a sunny day. Pretty large place, great views of the water, attractive waitresses- booths and tables inside, large wood bar inside, lots of TVs, then outside bar, smoking allowed, lots of tables, live music most nights I have been there, fantastic view and sunshine on perfect days. Come by boat, or large parking lot in front of the building its easy to find either way. When alone, I sit at the bar and get one on one service and watch a game or talk to the neighbors. Some specialties I like here are the crawfish, some of the best around in season, 5 lbs usually, spicy, really good. My standard is grouper finger basket or sandwich , hot fries. Their seafood sampler is great too for the fried food cravings as well as great shrimp, oyster, fish Po Boys. Their grilled fishes and veggies for the lighter side are good and good enough to eat again and my favorite the ahi tuna, or grilled yellow tail are fresh and always good and what I would expect here. This is a bar with great loud atmosphere so for what it is, its good. I've never been let down at lunch or dinner for food or service as I come here to relax and usually have several beers so don't pay attention to minor details that spoil my meal. Maybe cause I sit at the bar a lot, right in the middle inside or outside, the service has always been good for me. I;m keeping the 5 stars because as a boater and visitor here, the view, cold beer and decent food, this is exactly what I would expect for place on the docks, lots of boats, and live music thats typical of lake and ocean waterside escapes. I really like it here. read more

Lots of TV's here playing sports. We visited when on a day without any major sports games so there wasn't that much of a crowd. We sat inside as it was rather breezy and warm outside. However it did look like it would be nice to sit outside by the water if the day had been cooler. I ordered wine but wouldn't recommend this as their wines were basic. But remember, this is a sports bar. The burger and sweet potato fries were good as well as the popcorn chicken salad. The quesadillas that came with the salad were a bit dry and filled with cheddar cheese. I would see if a Jack would make them softer and more flavorful. The service was fun and friendly. Most servers were girls in tanks and short shorts - similar to Hooters. All the food was fresh and brought out in a reasonable amount of time. read more

Fast & hot food. Great wait staff. The TV's never end. Perfectly appointed with nautical decor.

I'm from Indiana so we don't really have good seafood options there so when I'm near the coast it's a must. My sister and I stopped here after going to the space center and we're so pleasantly surprised!! It was only a 9 minute drive and right on the water. They were playing the football game and it was a really fun atmosphere. Food was so good too!! read more

Whenever I need a quick pick-me-up for crawfish, Sam's Boat is the closest restaurant that serves it (besides The Swamp Shack). Sam's Boat serves their crawfish with the classic seasoning that tastes like Zatarain's Crawfish, Shrimp, & Crab Boil. This place is great for sports fans as the food is just your basic sports foods (burgers, wings, fries, etc) and there are plenty of screens. The girls here are cute and perky, as most of them are in their 20's and high school. read more
