If you want a great deal on fresh seafood boil, this is the place!!! If you want atmosphere, pass by. Not sure how smoking is allowed in a place that serves food but be prepared. Place is huge and will turn into a bar-bar at night, but we went for lunch and it was great!

$13.50 for a starfucker with no liquor.

$13 for a starfucker with no liquor. The cup is suoer small. Just redbull and liquor. Do not order shots from this place. They do have cheap crawfish but the drinks are way too expensive. $7.50 for one beer. Nope......never again

What took me so long to get here?? It's dive bar.... Randomly stopped in on a whim. Live band on Saturday night was great. Surprising large space area and lots of seating. I arrived earlier in the evening before dark & family with kids were out enjoying the space & atmosphere. Coming here was family from out of town idea & everyone enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere & excellent service from Kenzie.

First of all, I know it's not kid friendly at night but the waitress was so sweet and even though we were the only ones outside they didn't forget about us and were friendly. The food was AMAZING, I got the boil and was not disappointed! For the price it was a great deal and the seasoning was DELISHHHH.

Context: I took my family to check out the Kemah Boardwalk while staying in Seabrook for travel. We walked around the boardwalk and struck up quite a hunger for dinner. We had walked by this place on our way to the boardwalk and noticed a sign for seafood boil pots for only $11.99. What a deal. My son was very interested in getting some crab legs and seafood so we decided to give this place a shot. Kids are not allowed inside the main establishment but families were welcomed to sit out on the patio and still enjoy the drink and food menu. It was a nice enough day so we didn't hesitate to grab a seat. Service: The patio was a little bit in disarray at first and you seat yourself so it took a moment to find a server but when we did find one, she was friendly and great with the kids. Very considerate and helpful and made sure we had plenty of water to drink out in the heat. Food and drink: The menu had a decent variety to it - sandwiches, salads, burgers, wings, and seafood pots. I still couldn't believe the price. Normally, you'd sink $25+ dollars for a seafood pot. The sizes looked smaller than what you might normally get but for a kid and my wife, it was plenty of food when paired with a side of french fries. A good mix of shrimp, crab, corn, and potatoes. The seasoning spice and crab sauce on it was amazing, highly addictive. I kept dipping fries into it, so good. I went a different route and tried the What-Tha-Cluck chicken sandwich. Probably one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten in my life. Greasy, cheesy, flavorful, so damn good. Wow. I almost ordered a second just to have a couple more bites. Price: Prices were a steal here. $11.99 for seafood pots, sandwiches for under $7, and huge portions of sides for only $3. We ate like kings and paid like peasants here. Great food and service as well so great bang for your buck. My consensus: This is a must stop while visiting the Kemah Boardwalk area. Walk around to see the sites, watch the dolphins play in the bay, and when you're hungry, come to the garden of the Voodoo Hut to eat. Worth the visit.

Garrett and Jewel chased out our friends this evening. It was very disgusting think before going to this establishment if you are a family trying to celebrate together. Our dear family friend had to travel to MD Anderson in Houston and after years of cancer treatments, she felt safe and positive enough to bring her grandchildren, daughter and son in law to have a good time. Which is usually a very hard visit because of testing. My friend has suffered from years of vigorous chemotherapy which sometimes caused her to have seizures. So after many years she is finally seeing the sunshine again and was excited to have a family night and mistakingly chose this restaurant and wanted to have a tour of the boardwalk. They traveled all the way north of Dallas and were treated HORRIBLY!!!!!!!! A person opened the gate to the play area so they decided to let their grandson - a toddler go play while they were close by and enjoying each other's company. After their food came out the waitress came to notify them that if they touched the gate to the play area they would have to close out their tab. First of all they didn't open the gate and THEY WERE DRINKING SWEET TEA?? Then some people came out and had their phone on speaker calling the police and asking for an officer to come remove them because they were refusing to leave? When my friend went to him and said she was confused, because no one had said that to them. The guy raised his voice and said THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION! Apparently this person was Garrett Messman, a bartender, Jewel and some teenager. HOW DARE YOU!!! In front of 2 small children and a group of 4 adults who have worked their a$$ off to fight cancer longer than you've been employed at this place. How dare you ruin their first positive experience in this area. After a mom fighting for her life celebrating with her oldest daughter who has struggled to keep the family together and strong and her 2 babies she's raising wondering if her mom will see their next birthday! Sir, you have no idea how you impacted this finally positive trip to the Houston area!!! You are disgustingly selfish. I worked many years myself in the service industry at Rudy's BBQ and never -- even with the most belligerent customer ever treated someone with this disrespect! Although I reside in the North Dallas area, large portions and generations of my family are from Galveston, Channel view and Baytown area. I will do all that I can to let them know about the lack of respect you have for your patrons. Your lack of respect and customer service for any visitors will be your demise if you keep Garrett and Jewel on staff!

    Is the outside dog friendly?

I've seen patrons with their fur babies outside in the garden area.

Is it only 21 and up? Or 18 and up?

    Is there a cover fee?

    No!

What's the dress code? Are you able to wear shorts?

Weird question....but what brand is the outdoor "Connect Four" game they have there?

The place is really nice inside with beautifully set tables. The bar is made with stone backlit with lights which is stunning. I love the staff wears jeans with crisp white button downs. They look stylish without being fussy. We ordered the Mexican Shrimp cocktail. Shrimp were a nice size, perfectly cooked and the sauce was fantastically flavorful. We ordered oysters Rockefeller, which I now do not see on the menu, they were baked with parmesan cheese on top and were very dry. Next time we will order whatever is their customer fav oyster style. We both had the surf n' turf special which consisted of a filet topped with crab, a lobster tail, twice baked potato, and green beans. It was delicious! I ordered and received my steak medium rare. Opus excelled at their hand crafted cocktails. My friend had a margarita and said it was very good with just the right mix of all ingredients. My basil lemon drop martini was excellent. The fresh, flavorful basil made the cocktail both taste wonderful but it was also fragrant. Delicious! Finished dinner with an espresso martini and I tell you, Opus made the very best. As soon as the call connected, the lady asked if my reservation was for 8 people. I said no, I had just made a reservation for the following day at 11am and simply wanted to make sure everything looked fine on their side. She responded "oh okay," and never once mentioned there was any issue, overbooking, or possibility that our reservation would not be honored. We hung up, and naturally I believed everything was confirmed. The next morning, we arrived on time for our reservation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere already felt uncomfortable. The staff stared at us without greeting us until a woman finally approached and asked if we needed something. I gave the reservation name, and she looked through a notebook full of scribbled notes before saying she couldn't find it and would get the manager. A man came over, asked for my name again, and then bluntly stated, "We don't have you on the list. We're fully booked until 8pm." I was honestly shocked, especially because I had specifically called the night before to confirm everything. Instead of apologizing or trying to help resolve the situation, his demeanor felt cold, dismissive, and as though we were inconveniencing them simply by showing up for a reservation we had made and confirmed. He then stated, "We emailed you stating this." Because there was already a line forming behind us, I simply said "okay" and walked out. As we were walking to the car, I checked my email -- and sure enough, the "email" had been sent at 9:55am THAT SAME MORNING. Our reservation was for 11am. Cancelling a reservation barely an hour beforehand on Mother's Day, after I had already called to confirm the reservation the previous night, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. This was supposed to be our first time trying this restaurant, but unfortunately the experience and the way the situation was handled left a very sour impression before we even sat down.

Of course my dad had the special of the day. Our food came out popping hot without a long wait. The food was delicious as always. My dad and I were looking into getting a dessert which is something we hardly do. Josh came to check in on us and he overheard our conversation.
