Came here on a Sunday late afternoon just for dinner with my son. Parking is hit or miss here, sometimes you find a spot in about a minute and sometimes you end up going row to row for over 5 minutes for a decent spot. It was just me and my son so we ordered 7 hot dog combos. We wanted some froyo but was told the machine was down, great !! You pay $1.50 and you get an amazing hot dog combo with a refillable fountain drink. I know hot dogs are bad for you and has mystery meat ingredients like pig snouts and cow lips but they sure do taste good, especially Sam's Club hot dogs. At Sam's Club dealing with a manager named Dave in the tire department and he would not walk outside to look at my wife's tires to tell me if it's safe to drive away even though I paid for the tires here. I explained to the gentleman that they wobble while driving down the freeway and is very unsafe. I went to book online and there were appointments available today, but he said they cannot get me in until tomorrow. I told him that his customer service was bad and walked out the door. I have many mixed thoughts about Sam's Club. They don't seem to have the variety of items like a Costco, but the items I do buy regularly are always in stock and have been cheaper than elsewhere. The over-decorated cupcakes tend to be a reasonably priced winner for kids' parties, and some of their bakery goods come in smaller sizes. I don't always want a pie to serve 12! I had been a member of Sam's club from many many years then when they close down the one that was near my home and there was a Costco the same distance away I began going to Costco. Earlier this year Sam's club was selling memberships at $15 for a year and I believe that offer still goes until the end of November. I was quite surprised that the layout which appears to be disorganized, but I have found that some of the prices are vastly different than Costco and in some cases there are more varieties of items that I use many on a daily basis than what Costco has. I still go to Costco because they have some things that Sam's club does not carry and just as Sam's club has some items that Costco doesn't carry. read more

Don't order a cake from Sam's Club. They are brought in frozen and are not 2 inches thick (half sheet cake). My granddaughters birthday is in two hours and they have redone the cake twice. We wound up with a one inch thick sheet cake that could have been decorated better by my 7 year old grandaughter. I hope there is enough for the party but doubtful. Never again! read more

Obviously the leadership is too isolated from the customers and store operations, as the continue to decline in their service and value. Who in their right mind would think it is a good idea to have cashiers attempting to dig through full baskets to scan items, rather than a far more rational approach with conveyor belts to the register where items are easily seen and scanned. Not only does it make the process less efficient but it also increases the potential for items being missed inside the basket due to the clutter of other items they are buried under. It was bad enough that the pushed people to self-scanning by under staffing the actual cash registers to assure long lines driving people to the impersonal USCAN machines with individuals being slower than trained cashiers and numerous issues encountered and waiting for assistance far too often. This is the last straw for me as Sam's Club does not provide enough value to put up with their anti-service business decisions; including closing complaints as solved just because responses were delayed, thus building a facade that things are being taken care of when nothing was ever done. The only thing left worth considering for renewal is the gas pumps with current prices around the area, going inside the store is no longer something I care to deal with any longer. read more

I tell employees in the basket and they clean up the mess but don't bother checking on my mom who is limping now by the way because she's hurt her foot badly. Absolutely love scan and go. I only wish every store had it including all of the Walmart stores. It is the greatest technology ever. My wife and I stopped by yesterday to do a little shopping and hit the Sam's Club snack bar for a quick lunch. As soon as we approached the snack bar a Sam's Club employee working the kiosk told us that they no longer had checkout but that we would have to use the Sam's Club app. My wife went to bring the app up on the phone however she apparently wasn't moving fast enough for the kiosk employee who then proceeded to grab the phone from my wife's hand to perform the necessary app update. Thankfully I had already walked away to peruse the overhead menu otherwise there would have likely been a scene in the middle of the store after the employee put her hands on my wife's personal cell phone without asking permission or using even the most basic customer service skills to assist in the app functionality. Suffice it to say, we ended up walking away and not purchasing anything after the issue with the employee and seeing tables that still had food remnants and grease on them from someone's unattended children. I have no clue how Sam's Club tolerates employees who act in such a manner. read more

Ordered food from the café; while waiting for our food to be prepared, I noticed a disgusting amount of flies in the kitchen/food prep area. They were landing on the utensils used to handle food and the metal surfaces where food is set. As I looked around, I could see why, dirty platters and utensils littered food prep areas, and cups for smoothies or what not were pre-prepped left uncovered and exposed. It's like a Walmart but bigger. First time I went there was like no one. They didn't have a lot of stuff but found some cool things. Like a big feta cheese, chicken sandwiches that taste like Chick-fil-A, hot chips, unique popcorn flavors. Also the food court reminds me of Kmart cause they have pretzels and slushies. If you want a soda at the café, you can't use any cash. They're down to two cashiers. They can't find prices on stuff. It's all about how they make it easier for the company and not the customer while I'm done. I know it'll be tough to not shop there, but I'm not going to anymore. The average right now is 2.5 stars and 2 seems about right. In grade school, we were shown pics of people in Russia waiting for bread, to warn us about ... something. This Sam's Club vibes similarly at times. This is a place with so many stories of poor treatment and substandard service at every turn. They haven't had replacement membership cards in months - they inactivated my old card for reasons I don't know. At least I can use the app. They suggested I drive to a location 20 mi away to get a new card. Scan & Go is a lovely feature, but works best when things are in stock for purchase. As I complete my scan & go purchases, the app often recommends I buy other things, which I would, were they available. Eggs and cream and other dairy products have been out of stock for a few days now - I've been checking. When asked when things will be restocked, employees reply with a shrug; or, like the woman yesterday, by nodding 'no' and walking away without a word. There are no shortages in late 2024 and I was able to purchase everything at WinCo Foods down the street. Merchandise selection is rather limited. Suburban locations have more stuff. This one focuses on groceries and basics. But they have an entire aisle of Shark vacuum cleaners. Maybe add a bit more variety especially for the gifting season? The snack bar is brutal. Scowling employees who are bitter about their entire life circumstances. The line is long and moves slowly. A few times I ordered pizza or something, but it isn't put on the pick-up counter until I call out to somebody. One time I did this they accused me of trying to scam them out of food. Nobody makes eye contact or even responds to pleasantries like "Good morning" or "Hello." I was going to buy new tires from them last year but didn't. I asked for a written quote and was told they can't do that. But they couldn't even give me a verbal price - this was in-person. The experience was so confidence-shaking that I bailed. Parking is obnoxious. Nearly the entire east lot has been taken over by dedicated spots for order pick-up, pharmacy pick-up, and most recently, overflow parking for the Tire/Auto garage. All these spots are nearly always empty and I stop by SC about 2-3x/week different times. They removed a cart return from the area too, so now everybody abandons their carts all over the lot, blocking whatever spots might be left. They could handle all pick-up and overflow parking with about 6 dedicated spots instead of the current 15+. Employees create friction when returning items. I return a fair amount of food here because it is spoiled, especially produce. I return it within a day or 2 of purchase, typically unused, but moldy or damaged. They usually require me to find the receipt myself in my app even though they have my purchase history on their computer after scanning my membership. One time I returned a few items of clothing and I was brow-beaten by the employee over missing tags, etc., item-for-item. In my observation, produce and meat are underweight by a couple or few ounces nearly every time I check. Oh look - WM had a class action over this recently. Their customer service portal on the website is designed to prevent meaningful communication. You can read the FAQ; or you can chat with somebody in the Philippines who will do absolutely nothing to help; or you can fill out the contact form. The contact form doesn't have enough spaces to enter your membership ID, and the text box for explaining your situation only permits 275 characters, which is about 50 words. When the employee wouldn't give me a written tire quote as required by law, and I was unable to write about it in the small text box, I sent my complaint to the attorney general instead, where no character limits are in effect. Finally I have something good to say. The pharmacy staff are wonderful. They communicate well and transactions are typically flawless, with the occasional issue solved without trouble. Thank you, Sam's Club Pharmacy! Another compliment: The place is clean and orderly pretty much always. You might wonder why I bother to go to SC at all. It's convenient, a short mile from my home. I would never purchase a Plus membership, because the experience doesn't justify spending a dollar more than I must. Moreover, all these problems mean that I purchase far less from Sam's than I would if things were easier and more pleasant. The temptation to compare SC to Costco is strong, but we're talking about a company which is laser focused on the customer and (empowered) employee experience with a heavy emphasis on local (empowered) management, aka Costco; vs. a company that is laser focused on shareholder returns, with a top-down management style and completely helpless local staff, which I will call Bitch Stewie Costco - IYKYK. read more

I got Sam's club membership recently as they will running a promo of a full refund of fees as a gift card. Being a customer of COSTCO, I was skeptical but overall I am satisfied with it. It is a paid supermarket chain of Walmart and hence it is as big as COSTCO. Plenty of items on deals, however, it feels less premium than COSTCO in the meat section. There are few items better than COSTCO and overall there is more variety here. The best experience was scan-&-go feature where I didn't had to wait at billing counter as I scanned and paid in the app for everything. read more

Sam's Club on Bell Rd. is the WORST store ever. The Cafe always has whole pizza Sold Out on the app & refuse to make them when you stand in line forever. The employee's in the Cafe are rude & don't want to do their job. Today after standing in line I was told they were out of Pizza & couldn't make it (there was pizza in the window). I asked what they were out of & he said we can't make it. The other one said well we can but it will be 45 min - 1 hr at least, the cafe and the store weren't even busy they are just lazy and happens 9/10 times if not 10/10 times. The rotisserie chicken is always out too. They have 3 ovens & only run 1 especially at dinner time while people are lined up waiting. There is no reason for that, especially during the week when they are slow. Many times they have no shopping carts at the door so you have to walk 1/2 way through the parking lot to get one. Nobody cares about that either, they just tell you if you want a cart you need to go get one out there. They are out of stock on everyday items often. They either say it must be seasonal or I don't know. They are everyday items, not seasonal. The management could care less of the issues with their store. We've called Corp. & a District or General Manager was suppose to call, instead the Store Manager called & she didn't care either. I've been harassed by drug addicts in the parking lot while getting in my car. Management didn't care. We called Corp. about them getting Security, Wal-Mart has it & we don't pay a membership to shop there, the next week Security was there. That's the only thing they've done right. The only GREAT department is the Pharmacy at this location. Everyone that works the Pharmacy is great & they know their customers by name...Too bad the rest of the store isn't as great as the Pharmacy. I have been a Member here for over 25 yrs and this treatment is horrible especially when you have to pay a Membership Fee for nothing but a headache. These issues have been going on for a while now, the only reason I go back is they have certain things that Costco doesn't have. The Management there needs to be FIRED and get people in there that want to work. The only Manager that has addressed our issues to the best of his ability is Ray. I would recommend Costco over this Sam's Club any day. Decent selection a slight focus on unhealthy sweets. One of the sample ladies with oranges was completely checked out and said she could care less. Minimal staffed check outs forcing most to use self check out and lo and behold they were stalled because people needed help with equipment. Cafe staff was over worked trying to both front orders and fill the scan and go orders. And the absolute highlight of the trip was being racially profiled at the door. Bad customer service. I came to order a birthday cake , and I wanted to see if they could help me place the order and the last In the back said she couldn't help me, but that I could do it online. I was shocked how rude she was, and didn't even to help me at all. I was more of a pest to her for simply asking if they did custom cakes here. So this place was extremely busy... lines were so uncomfortably long and they did not have every lane open. We came to get a few items so we used the Sams Club Scan and go option and was in and out in 15 minutes. You just show the person at the door your barcode or your Sam's club card and they will scan that and a few random items in your cart as you walk out! I would never come to this Sam's club if they did t have the scan and go option as the lines were just ridiculous and the club was not well kept. The bathroom was just ok, they have the dyson dryer but you still have to touch soap dispenser to get the soap and it was wet from other folks hands just gross. We had been going to this location for years now, not a great area to be in anymore though. When we want anything, we have to go back to this one, now that the Sam's closer to us now, has sadly closed. Staff is always friendly and helpful as they always have been. Store is always clean inside, along with the restrooms. Their 'cafe' staff are always welcoming and they make great works of art, when you order their pizza's!! We had heard that unfortunately, Sam's Club throws away all pizza and foods, even if just made, each night when it's closing time.
