I recently purchased a Backyard Discovery Barrel Sauna from Sam's along with the subcontracted company "GoConfigure" to assemble it at my home. Two guys came to my home and "assembled" - took all day, the next day I inspected, it was horrible, they obviously didn't have a clue as to what they were doing or didn't care! I've contacted GoConfigure and they're scheduling them back to correct the issues, I sure hope it's a different crew. To make matters even worst the instructions in the booklet for the electrical wiring are incorrect. My electricians after spending several hours of trouble shooting called the manufacture and they admitted the manual was incorrect (electricians get paid by the hour!!) My recommends don't purchase "Backyard Discovery" from Sam's Club. read more

I like Sam's Club as they always have what I need at a competitive price, are efficient and helpful when I need to find items in the store. The scan and go feature for merchandise and fuel is so great and convenient, not having to wait in lines to check out, just walk through the arches and done!! They even email the receipt to me!! I visit this location and the Denham Springs location frequently. I normally go inside for my shopping but occasionally I do order pickup. This week I waited over 45 minutes after checking in for someone to bring my order out. It's order pickup, it should be convenient and fast. I don't mind being patient but that was very ridiculous. HORRIBLE service. Last year I bought a set of Goodyear tires and paid for the premier installation pkg which includes full warranty on the tires/road hazzard and flat repair etc. Today I found a nail in my tire and since it was a slow leak, drove it to Sam's and asked them to do the repair under warranty. I was rudely told they were "too busy" and to try again in 3 hours." I replied that I had a nail in my tire, it's an easy fix, but in 3 hours I wouldn't be able to drive it. They basically told me to calm down and not get upset. I was stunned. I called Costco across I-12 and asked if they could do a repair on a tire they didn't sell me. They said "sure, bring it in now." I did, and 45 min and $15 later I was out the door, having being treated respectfully and professionally, the complete opposite of Sams. I immediately purchased a Costco membership so they could repair it, and threw the Sams card (which is good until August) in the trash. Despicable service! I've been a member since 2016. I was at Sam's today and noticed the 85" tv I purchased a few weeks back was on sale and a bit less. Their policy is 7 days but they showed great decency and gave me a store credit for the difference. In my normal way, I texted a few friends to see if I should be upset if they didn't offer it and my friends didn't have a strong position either way. My point is this - it would have been reasonable if they had said no or yes to me. The amount was negligible - $50. However, the goodwill, the brand loyalty that it inspires, it helps take the negativity away from "the big box" stores when their managers think like humans, have the authority to override policy from time to time, and do something for the customer. This customer will always remember them helping me out, this customer has already told many friends about their decency, and this customer will be a customer for life and probably never need any help from a manager again but truly appreciated knowing they'd help if called upon. Not much to say about Sam's Club, they're all pretty much the same, although the customer service here is pretty good and the store is clean and seems well organized. At least, it is for me, since I've been shopping here for ten years, ha ha ha! But, I'd like to mention the Scan and Go app. If you haven't tried it, you are really missing out on convenience. Scan your items as you go (hey, maybe that's where they got the name?), pay right from your phone and present it to the greeter at the door. They scan it and you are on your way. That's right, no waiting at the checkout!!! Anyway, if you haven't tried the Sam's chicken sausages, do yourself a favor and get a pack. It's a super clean sams. Plenty of parking spaces. Has everything I need in bulk buys. Has plus member shipping hours again! Best part about Sam's club is ability to scan and pay with my app! I can scan as I go and check out. Pay my bill while walking out the door. They will scan your phone and scan an item in your cart. I'm sure they count them as well. Good place to grab sushi as well if you aren't able to sit and eat at a sushi restaurant. It's made fresh daily. I also like their meat pizza! It's good to take it home and bake! Don't forget to try the Members mark brand chicken nuggets! I airfry at home and it tastes just like chick fila nuggets! Will continue to shop here! This is for optical. The eye doctor is a rock star. I brought my mother who has dementia to get her eyes checked (she has speech issues as well). The doctor upon noticing us struggling stepped in and helped ease the stress and help us. Mom had a hard time focusing and the doctor was gentle and kind in finding ways to make the exam work foR her. I'm so grateful for her kindness. I shop here averaging once per week. The service is ok. Most of the time I use the pickup as I have small kids. Make sure you check your order and don't just allow the staff to place the food in your trunk although it is idea. I've noticed missing items and sometimes forget. Today Stephanie was fulfilling my order and noticed shrimp were left off the previous order on the note. She totally ignored the note until I got out of the car for another item. For years those of us living in western St. Tammany were forced to drive all the way to Slidell to visit a Sam's Club. After years of wrangling with the parish council, local residents and others, Sam's opened a location in Covington. Surprisingly, it took me nearly six months to make my first visit. All Sam's locations are similar. They are giant warehouses filled with products everyone needs, but few need in the quantities they offer. I love pickles, but I probably don't need a five gallon bucket full. This location fits the traditional Sam's Club mold. What sets it apart is that it is brand new, and close to me. All of the staff I have encountered have been very friendly, and they actually seem to enjoy their jobs. I look forward to returning here when I finally decide to get a new, giant TV. The deals they have seem pretty good. If you need giant quantities of stuff, come here. Note: They do not accept Visa, but do accept Discover and Master Card. read more

We picked it up and celebrated but when it came to the best part of getting a cake (to eat it) , there was a strange and very pungent taste of harsh chemicals and almost what I can describe as gasoline from the center of the cake. We purchase our tires from Sam's Club whenever we need replacement tires. We ordered a replacement tire under road hazard warranty. It was supposed to be arriving within 5 days and we would be notified. The Tire & Battery Dept can NEVER be reached to speak to someone on the phone. After continually checking for emails and trying to reach the dept by phone after 8 days of not hearing whether or not the tire has arrived, we decided to drive 40 miles to the store only to discover the tire had been there. This is a 10-ply tire we are speaking of that was replaced to match the others already on the truck that were also purchased at Sam's Club. We tow a travel trailer and require what is advised at recommended PSI on the tires. All other Sam's Clubs have no issue with inflating these tires to 70 psi (Max on these tires is 80 psi). This particular store refuses to put more than what is indicated on the vehicle's door label even though these are NOT the stock tires for this truck. They claim this is a "safety issue". What more of a "safety issue" can this be when the tires are not inflated to within recommended PSI?? read more

l bought a set of tires at Sams and I'm sure I saved a bunch of money. But installing the ties at Sams, the Tire Pressure Sensor broke. Sam 's paid for it, but I had to go to Banner Ford to get the part. So I waited in line again at Sams, then my car had to wait in line. Then Sams couldn't get it installed, so back to Banner Ford. First, Sams did a nice job standing behind their work. They paid for the parts and service at Banner Ford. But I would have saved 4 - 6 hours just having the entire job done at Banner Ford. Eat at the deli at your own peril. It is an infection or food borne illness waiting to happen. For some reason they think it is good practice to have the cashier serve your food. So, they go from taking money with their gloves on straight to serving your food. Today, after touching money and the counter the cashier reached into the bag of hot dog buns to grab a bun. Any idea how many germs and disgusting things are on money or the counter? Me either, but I didn't want them on my hot dog. If you get sick eating here now you know why. Apparently the patrons of Sam's club have been deemed as too STUPID to pump gasoline properly. ALL THE BACK STOPS on the gas pumps were removed. THAT MEANS, IF YOU WANT TO PUMP GAS AND CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS AT THE SAME TIME, YOU CAN'T. WHY? Because YOU are too stupid to stop pumping gasoline when you tank is full. You see, a few people are actually THAT idiotic and there were a few overflows. So now Sam's punishes EVERYONE. Sam's in Hattiesburg, MS. does not do this. Good gas stations do not do this. But if you want cheap gas .... and to GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH FROM SAM'S, you have to stand like a SCOLDED CHILD and HOLD THE GAS GUN OPEN for the entire time you are filling up. Personally, I find the situation really insulting. I lobbied the station attendant to put a few back stops on, and so they put on ONE OR TWO, but now those are gone too. When people in customer service treat their PAYING customers like BABIES, someone needs to cry fowl. read more

Bought a 2 new cell phones from Sam's club during the Christmas season. Sam's club gave me the Sam's club gift certificate as they promised, however during this time Verizon had buy one phone get the second free meaning Verizon would make your monthly payments on the second phone in addition Verizon also offered a $200. Gift card per line the customer ported over . This was offered by Verizon and it was explained to me by Verizon rep over the phone as well as having flyers in the store. As it turned out Verizon says the phone weren't entered in the computer correctly so that took several hours of my time to get corrected then the $200 gift cards have been declined because Verizon says Sam's isn't a participating dealer. So I call Sam's club and talk to Christina the manager and she say deal with Verizon that's a promotion they offered. I'm in to the switch from AT&T to Verizon now over $1500 out of my own pocket still have to pay for my phones and don't get the rebates. Christina told me she doesn't have time for this she's dealing with a pandemic. Well we all know all she is is a retailer not a doctor or scientist trying to find a cure. Not a politician trying to manage the local, state or national agency's. Just a retailer trying to get supplies from a company that has an automatic ordering system. If they wouldn't have ran the scam in the first place they wouldn't be dealing with me right now. Googled how many people take advantage of rebates it states that it ranges between 5 and 81 %. Not 100% so it's a nice deal for retailer to offer rebates. Not happy with transaction at all. With my household of 6, this 3 pound chicken can feed all of us quite nicely. And at $4.98, who can beat that. Pair that with the soft buttery croissants and a little spring mix and you have a pretty awesome sandwich. All for less than $20. With so many to feed, I can use all the help I can get. read more

I want to thank Sam's Club for helping my husband and me today. We were traveling from San Francisco California to Naples Florida when our just stopped. We had the car checked before we left and new it had to be something simple. We checked the oil on a hunch and it was empty. A mechanism put into newer model Hyundai's, thank god. My husband walked into Sam's and and explained the situation and they allowed us to purchase the oil we needed for the car. All I can say is Thank you! Overall my experiences with this Sam's Club has been good. I bypass the registers every time because I use the Scan & Go app! I scan my items as I put them in the basket, and checkout is a breeze! Show the receipt at the door, they scan it, and we're done! I have them 3 stars because sometimes the store can be unorganized and understaffed. For example, I went there to pick up items I'd pre-ordered online, and when I went to pick them up, there was no one available in customer service to assist me. I stood at the pick up desk for 15min before saying something to an employee. They paged someone, but I decided to go get the items myself. In the time it took someone to come to the desk, I went & got the items and used Scan and Go. But in all my trips there, overall I can't complain. read more

It came off right away , it was not installed properly they would not do anything to replace it This past week we got our tires rotated now I'm missing three hubcaps so an additional two where not properly installed. Poor service ( more registers closed than opened and long check out lines) is the norm for the Sams Clubs I have been in, so I think it is the policy of upper management the way they are run. What is bad is that it is not like a Target or Best Buy where the customers in front of you has a few items, they have carts full and so you wait much longer to get checked out. The only way to change this is for me and 1000's of other to not renew our card for 1 year, to send a message how dissatisfied we are with the service and shop other local stores that whole year. Like most have noted, it is not that big of a savings for a regular household. I have a Costco membership and what a difference in the friendliness of the employees compare to Sams. The Costco is 70 miles away, but I have decided not to pay Sams any longer to stand in their long, slow lines run by unhappy and poorly trained employees. One other note. Why can't they package their fresh cut steaks in the meat Dept into a package of 2 and 3's especially the filets instead of the standard 4 pack. That way I can buy two for the wife and I, or pick up a 3 pack, Or a combination of the two and three packs to get 4, 5, 6 or 7 steaks as needed. I think they would sell more total numbers if you could buy 2 & 3 in a package, IMHO. read more

Incompetent management! Entered on a Thursday at about 10:40 am, finished shopping by 11:10 and walked out, WITHOUT my $300 worth of groceries, at 11:45. Their credit card machine wasn't working. They knew this was a problem when I got into line at 11:10 and made no announcement to the, at this point, nearly 100 people who were in line. Even after I complained to the checkout girl and the manager, who was standing behind her, that they needed to make an announcement to all the people so that they didn't waste their time, as well, they still didn't announce it. There was at least 4 woman who, appeared to be, management walking around and not one of them took control or offered any customer service.This a consistent theme with this location. If I could rate this a 0 I would. My sister in law bought a cake for my baby shower and it was not what we thought we were getting. She went in person to confirm the cake and they supposedly had everything correct. When she went to pick it up, the top layer had a crack down the middle. She made them fix it and they just put icing to cover it. The bottom was supposed to look like a naked cake, it was just plain pink. They had a something that looked like wood but was fondant and stuck it on there because it was as close to a naked cake as possible. What we ordered was vanilla cake on the top layer and chocolate on the bottom. When we went to cut the cake, the whole thing was vanilla! Will never order a cake from here again. read more
