I woke up today (a Saturday) to discover that my right front tire was flat. The car was parked in my driveway. I called my local Firestone - they were open until 3 pm, but they didn't have the tire I needed at their store. They said they would see if they could locate one. I called AAA to get a tow to the Firestone. Firestone called me back to tell me that they had located one at one of the other Firestone stores - and they were sending one of their employees to pick it up. AAA tow truck arrived and I rode with them to the Firestone. They had the tire I needed - installed it - and I was good to go! (And it was affordable, too.) I felt that they had gone above and beyond to get the tire I needed and to get it installed before they closed. I have used this Firestone in the past and have always had good service from them. This is my third time trying to do business with this place. EVERY TIME they always have a lazy excuse as to why it can't get done. I called yesterday to get a state inspection done. It was almost 12 so the gentleman advise that I come in today. So I do just that and drive all the way to them to be told with much attitude that he wasn't gonna do it when it was raining. When it wasn't raining within the hour. It literally sprinkled for a little bit earlier that morning. I have 7 trucks that need regular maintenance tire changes,etc. and would love to go to Firestone due to the convenience but I'm actually glad it played out the way it did because I feel better knowing I'll do business with people that will actually do their job and appreciate my business. No one has time for lazy excuses while dealing with business. read more

On Fri, 7/12/24, my truck would not start. Co-workers assisted, and I was told that I should get a new battery right away because if I turn off my truck, it will likely not start again. A suggestion was made to go to Firestone because it was right around the corner. I went to Firestone at 71329 LA-21 in Covington, Louisiana. I pulled up between 4:40 & 4;45 p.m. Luckily, I left my truck running to go inside because they turned me away. There were 2 gentlemen at the counter, I asked if it was too late to get a battery. One looked at me and said, yes - we close in 15 minutes, but we open at 7:30 in the morning. I mentioned that I could not turn off my truck and needed to get a battery right away then thanked them and left. They were not rude, and I get people are ready to go home at the end of the day. If it wouldn't have taken the guy at AutoZone less than 7 minutes to install a new battery, I would've thought nothing of this. But I did end up driving to AutoZone and purchasing a pricey battery. The guy at AutoZone installed the battery in less than 7 minutes. The process from start to finish probably didn't take much longer than 15 minutes. read more

called and explained my car is modified before i went in. I was told $106 on the phone after explaining it all then when I went in they said it would be $150 or a little bit more due to modification. once it was finished and I picked up I was then told the total is $260. couple weeks later I hear my tires squeeling as I drive down the road. I checked it with toe plates and I had 2in of toe in when I said I wanted no toe. For $260 I want that alignment perfect with no issues a month later. No my aftermarket parts are not cheap stuff. It has taken me over a month to calm down enough to write this review...this company was negligent and endangered me because of their oversight. When I confronted them about it, they were very polite and apologetic, but over the next few days, I found more and more things that were done without care or concern for a customer's well-being. I work 40+ hours and have to budget my free time carefully. Because of this, I called and actually scheduled an appointment with Hwy 21 Firestone on a Friday afternoon as well as the following Friday at the same time. When I arrived the first time, they were crowded and couldn't find any mention of an appointment, so I waited for several hours in their lobby until a friend got off of work and rescued me while they worked on the vehicle. I picked it up after we had eaten dinner, and discovered that they didn't check my tire air pressure, even though I had specifically asked then to because I was afraid one of my tires had a slow leak. Also, my check engine light was still on, even though that was the original purpose of my bringing the vehicle in for service. I thought it was an oversight and let it go. The following Friday, I brought it in at the same time, had planned for my friend to pick me up and try a new restaurant. Listen very carefully when they are talking about the services they plan to do, because they tried to upsell me on things that were not necessary for my vehicle. I used to work as an Office Manager in a local automotive shop, and knew that they were trying to pad the bill. When I picked it up that evening, again, the tire pressure was not checked and the gauge was showing four different readings on the tires, one, which was dangerously close to being flat. I stopped at a nearby gas station and aired it up, but was miffed, to say the least, that for a second time, Hwy 21 Firestone ignored my concerns. The next day, I had a flat on the Interstate. For the next few days, I noticed other things that were just plain irritating mistakes, from setting my passenger-side window back at the wrong angle (they replaced the motor, which wasn't cheap!) so that there's now a gap and the wind whistles through the entire time I'm driving, to again, the engine check light being on. That was the last time I'll use their service again. I'm posting this as a warning to those that are fooled by the glossy, professional-looking exterior. The guys inside would rather be looking at their latest Facebook posts than pay attention to what they are doing to your vehicle. Be warned! I'll never recommend anyone here, tried calling 10 different times EVERYTIME my call was forwarded, I walked in calling and they proceed to ignore it, meanwhile 3 different service people are sitting at the computers/phones. I mention I was just calling to see if they had availability to do a break tag ( mind you I just went all the way to two different places in Mandeville that were no help so this is my third attempt ) they stop doing them at 12. Brought my car in for a/c not working. Was given an estimate to repair. Agreed to a price and told them to get the parts and would bring car back the following Thursday. These guys don't know what they are doing! I gave them my truck to diagnose a problem! 130$ later I got a diagnosis so I did what they said and changed what they told me to change! It didn't solve the problem! In fact when I finally figured out what was wrong with my truck it had nothing to do with the diagnosis! So they lied about the diagnosis! And after I got my truck back from a 30 minute diagnosis the inside was filthy, grease all over the floor of my truck and dirt all over the place! Save your time and money and find a real machanic! Always thought this shop was very straight with needed service and they proved it yesterday when I brought my BMW in for brakes based on another shop telling me they were completely worn out. These guys were able to figure out a problem that 3 other shops couldn't (or maybe just didn't bother). My truck is ancient and had an array of problems that I had been procrastinating getting fixed for a long time, but my biggest concern was a problem with my ABS system. I putt-puttered into the Firestone and dropped off my vehicle. They did some troubleshooting and called me for every step to let me know what they were doing. 24 hours and 5 informative phone calls later, my truck is running and braking like new with 2 new tires! I have been going to this shop since opening,always very straight forward and always polite.They deal with the issues at hand very prompt and if they need to order any parts they give you an estimated completion of the job.So far i have not had any issues that i can honestly say that were price escalated or any type of disapprovals.I know it isnt always in everybodys best interest as far as time issues but im very glad they are there when i need them.Thanks Guys read more
