I love Sam's club. It's an amazing store to buy things in singles and bulk. The food court has a lot of options and the prices are reasonable. You're not able to order during checkout ahead of time like Costco. You'll have to get in a separate line to order then wait for your order. My feedback would be the efficiency and cleanliness of the food court area. There's a wait to get your food as most items are readily available and you'll have to wipe your own tables. I had never tried Sam's Club pizza before because it's not close to where I live. Today, my coworkers bought six different varieties of Sam's Club pizza for lunch. First impression, this place is hugh lol and I did not like standing on the Member Services line because it moved a bit slow. I had a free card through work that I don't have anymore but I went to this store and there was enough to try it (for half price) So far so good. Milk and eggs are priced way better than your local Safeway A lot of the stuff is too big for us and we're still trying some of the other stuff Produce has been okay. Their beer really sucks but their whiskey prices are good Well keep trying stuff out but so far we like this place better than Costco Just an fyi, they do still have the same rude people here that don't know other people exist. I would be very hesitant getting tires here. After everything was said and done it took almost 2 hours to get 4 new tires put on. We had an appointment and the only car in the bay the whole time. After another customer showed up a little late to their appointment they were told that they would not be able to be serviced because the bay that was needed was full (with our car). At that point the car had been in the bay for 1.5 hours. I was told by the technician that Tesla tires take longer to fill up. That is not a thing Air is air. read more

Sam's Club is the Walmart version of Costco, both have a similar big box concept. Because it's owned by Walmart, they promote their Members Mark brand of products. Their name brand food and products are generally good in taste and quality. My wife likes going here, they have some products that Costco doesn't carry like Horizon organic milk and Progresso canned soup just to name a couple. I appreciate that they don't make you buy a 24 pack of beers and products that you don't have to buy in bulk compared to Costco. The return policy is good as well. The reason I don't give it five stars is that they don't give you the option to order food at the register like Costco. Also, the staff checking you out is not nearly as friendly in general. That being said, the prices are great, and it's a good thing to have variety. read more

Matter of fact the Walmart in American Canyon felt better organized and with more options available. The worst was using the bathroom! What a terrible sight! Dirty like I have never seen before ! My wife went to the woman's restroom and it was worst ! We brought this up to a store employee! They just didn't care ! Ended up spending close to $600shopping this night . I drove from Palo Alto to Concord, as this is the closest Sam's Club, because I was told over the phone that I had a tire warranty that would help cover some of the cost. I specifically explained that my tires were already in the red levels 2,3,3,4 and that I did not want to drive over an hour if nothing could be done. I was assured that after the technicians checked the tires, the warranty would make the cost less than buying a brand-new set of four tires. When I arrived, the front desk associate tried to help but was unfortunately unfriendly and dismissive. Basics asking what I wanted them to do about it. So I had asked since they are the professionals to take a look at my car especially since I do not work there and I do not know what their protocol what are. Regarding the warranty, I was told that the tire thread was low obviously because it was in the red as I mentioned on the phone so it was my fault for driving too much. I was told it would only save me about $20-$30, followed by a comment that it "wasn't worth it" because of the work involved in processing it and sending it back to the maker. I'm sorry, but that is not her decision to make. A warranty exists for a reason, and even a small amount off a purchase could have influenced my decision. I was then told the warranty could not be applied because I did not rotate and balance my tires at Sam's Club, even though I get those services done during regular maintenance at my dealership or oil change locations. This explanation made no sense to me. what is the purpose of a warranty if it becomes invalid for routine maintenance done elsewhere and why tell me how much I could have gotten with the warranty to only tell me I wouldn't qualify. I made it clear that I was not blaming her personally, but I wanted them to understand how frustrating it was to drive that far based on the information I was given. Her response was to tell me that she also drives an hour to work, implying that my frustration wasn't valid, which felt incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. When I asked for a quote, I was told the Michelin Defender 2 tires would be over $800. I mentioned that the same tires at Costco or American Tire are closer to $750 after tax, and she told me "That's our price" I later checked the Sam's Club app and saw the tires listed for about $140 each, which is actually cheaper than Costco or American Tire and comes out to less that $750!!! The pricing I was quoted did not match what was shown online. The associate also assumed I drive 24,000 miles per year, stating that my tires were close to the 60,000-mile warranty anyway. In reality, I drive about 12,000 miles per year, which is documented through my insurance. I am a full-time mom who mainly drives locally for school drop-offs and errands. I truly dislike writing negative reviews, but every point made during this interaction felt illogical, dismissive, and frustrating. I was not demanding anything. I simply wanted to be heard as a customer and for my concerns to be acknowledged. Instead, I was met with eye-rolling, a lack of empathy, and a "nothing we can do" attitude. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to Sam's Club for tire services. Also if you are considering purchasing tires at a Sam's Club make sure you get your tires balanced and rotated properly at a Sam's Club otherwise I guess warranty is voided. This is the first time in 23 years of driving that I had to replace all four tires by the second year of driving. read more

And then when i got their the equipment they have couldn't service my xt5 because they have the oldest , worst lifts. Could have just saved me time telling me this when I book!!!! We normally go to Costco but just recently added a Sam's membership to try. And it had more than we thought. It definitely wasn't as crowded as Costco and we had to scan membership card for everything including food court and exit. But I liked the fact that a lot of their sizes weren't as big as Costco size. Selection was decent and we saw stuff (especially snacks) that Costco didn't carry. And this the kicker, the food court! More selection, cheaper since smaller but who cares. We got a slushy and pretzel. This would be a kid's reward if the kids were younger. Except this Sam's didn't have a gas station. Otherwise once kids are gone and you don't need Costco sizes, Sam's is a good and less stressful alternative. read more

Ice and a drink, and I thought they were shutting down another lane cause they called the girl from the other line to come over with a bunch of items into my lane in front of me, but they didn't even end up shutting down that line they just did it so she could get out of there faster. And I'm in a hurry and they made me wait for somebody with 40+ Items when I'm standing there with just one waiting so I can get ice, so I just set it down where I was at and left. You figure when you pay a membership for a place they would at least treat you decently. I think I'll end up going back to Costco, they're always very full, but at least they're not rude. read more

Sam's Club is similar to Costco. I really enjoy using the app to shop here. You can scan your items as you shop and then just leave without having to wait in line to check out. They have amazing quality meats. I bought boneless pork chops, which are super great on the grill or in the crock pot. Very affordable and super thick! Also, the NY Strip Steaks I purchased were of the highest quality. I tenderized them and seasoned with McCormick's steak seasoning & olive oil. They came out fantastically on the grill! The only thing to be aware of is that if you're using the app to shop (without checking out with a checker) you cannot purchase alcohol. read more

They need to be reported to the FDA. This is the second time I come and see customers with dogs in their shopping carts. So disgusting and unsanitary. Why are animals in the shopping carts where we put our groceries. Us customers can get sick. Last week I came and seen a couple with their dog in their cart. Today I came and saw two customers with dogs in their cart. Is this what it has come to? And to top it off employees walk past and clearly see the animals in the carts, but disregard them. 1 star do NOT recommend. This store is jam packed with people, items and long, frustrating lines. Trying to get in and out? It won't happen. I went in for one item and grabbed some food from the cafe. It took me an hour to get in and out, mainly because I had to wait for my food for over 20 minutes! I go to Sam's Club because I hate how crowded and slow Costco can be on the weekend. This location is exactly like Costco, down to the terribly crowded parking lot. The crew here is horrendously unhappy to work there. Everyone has a resting bitch face unless they're goofing around not working together. Whenever you politely ask for some help you're met with stink faces and whining most times. I've been going here off and on for close to 30 years. It has fallen so far when it comes to caring and helping their customers genuinely. I had issue with my EBT card not processing even though there is money on the card, which I showed them on the app. I also showed them it is registered to the same card thats in my hand. Still wouldn't work. Manager says, "Well, sorry you'll have to talk to EBT." Which makes no sense as I've been using that same card for over a year there with no issues. She didn't care that I hadn't eaten, wouldn't be able to eat, and that it obviously wasnt my personal doing. I told her I was canceling my membership and she smiled a big ugly grin saying, "Have a nice day.", while simultaneously dismissing me. I cancelled my Premium membership on the spot. Never going again. I will happily drive further away to Costco. At least they aren't douchebags. The manager here is a piss poor at her customer service. Shows in her face she couldn't care less about you or your struggles. Funny as her face and body have obviously seen some struggles as you can tell who she is by thick eyeliner trying to cover up years drug use and self abuse. Like if a trailer were personified. One special shout out to Debra though. Debra in customer service was the lone happy person working there. Polite, attentive, asking me questions on how she can help and what happened to me. I ordered a TV online and it was damaged in transit. I called customer service to help me initiate a return and order a replacement. I had to call three times and was hung up on twice. I ultimately decided I would just take the TV back to my nearest Sam's club (Concord, CA). Walking in, we were greeted by Debra at the customer service desk. I was close to tears, frustrated with the customer service (or lack of) I got the day before on the phone. Debra was a complete angel!! She found my order easily and the return was done in a matter of minutes. Furthermore, she recommended a TV, which we ended up purchasing. Debra was personable and highly professional as well as knowledgeable and kind! My daughter picked up my youngest daughter cake and said she was treated horribly by a woman in the bakery. The cake didn't look like what was advertised and the writing was very small. The cake looks nice in the 3rd picture because of the decorations we purchased separately from Amazon. The taste of the cake was good. This was my first and last cake purchased from Sam's Club because the look of the cake wasn't what was advertised and one of the bakery staff members was rude to my daughter. I purchased a Sam's Club membership solely for the purpose of buying this cake and it definitely wasn't worth it. This was my first time going to Sam's club and I must say it was a great experience. It wasn't as messy and crowded as Costco is and I was walk down aisles without getting mad because people are just standing in the middle of the aisle getting in the way. My favorite feature is that you are able to scan items on your phone through the app and checkout using the app and not have to wait in line, that's awesome! I am not sure what I think of Sam's Club. I am a Costco member as well and recently became a Sam's club member. Some pros of Sam's Club to Costco is being a Plus member allows for more flexibility while shopping (earlier opening times, free curbside and shipping). It's a little frustrating that Costco has not adopted these features and the scan as you go on the app is very convenient on Sam's Club. So these are definitely advantage for being a Sam's club member. The items sold at Sam's club are not always very big or club size, it's just larger than the typical but not as Costco big. This warehouse has a lot of items but sometimes, I feel like it's not enough. It can also be overwhelming at times. Parking here is very easy. I find the card check at the door is hit and miss.
