Food and drinks were decent, but definitely NOT worth $80 for 2 beers and 2 burgers. We wanted to sub fries as the side for our burgers and got charged the actual "side" price of fries ($6 each). This bar is small but a lot of fun. There's a patio area with windows opening up towards the river so you can get a very nice view on a good weather day. The place can get pretty crowded as most bars, but the bartenders are attentive and nice. They have sandwiches, wraps, and salads to order at the bar. I got the roast beef wrap, they're known for their roast beef so I felt like I had to try it. It was a decent wrap, I'd say it could use more meat in it. read more

Was here today for buffalo vs Miami. Great deal on wings and burgers for games, and decent quality food. However, I was 1 of 6 people in this place, in front of 3 tv's, and the owner flat out refused to turn on the buffalo vs Miami game on the higher screen which was in front of us. When we left it, I was 1 of 2 fans watching football and the request was still refused. Absolutely pathetic. A good little find for NFL Sunday, and will never go back until under new management for a foolish pride move like this. Sad for Bville. read more

Came in at 10pm on a Monday night and was greeted by Ashley. She was super sweet and more than happy to help me try out a few different beers. Sammy's offered a great beer selection. I ordered their Southern Tier Pumking. They serve $5 pizza, and $1 off all drafts (during NFL and Syracuse basket/football games). PS, I heard their $5 roast beef sandwich is amazing.. The food was subpar ordered a cheese burger with lettuce and tomato, when served no lettuce or tomato plus no condiments. The menu said homemade chips what we were served was lays potato chips in small bags like you would send to lunch with your kid . It's no wonder no one Was in the place . Service wasnt great...there was only one server and she didn't pay you any attention if you were not at the bar. No one welcomed you when you walked in due to lack of staff. There isnt a kids menu which was really wasnt a big deal unless you have a picky eater. I got a scrampini which I was very excited about. It was SUPPOSED to be shrimp scampi on a panini.....well the shrimp was regualr frozen shrimp, the pesto was not good and was globbed in one spot and it wasnt a panini, it was a grilled cheese made on a flat top with shrimp in it. It was greasy and just didn't have much flavor. My grandfather got the primerib sandwhich....the smallest one I've ever seen in my life. He said he would rather eat Arbys roast beef. My grandmother got a burger which was bland and had nothing but cheese and meat but was probably the most flavorful thing besides our drinks. If you get chips you get a bag of lays which is fine at least you know they are fresh and taste good. Salads were good but you pay if you want extea salad toppings.....weird. They were sold out of chicken wings at 2 in the afternoon. Smh. I would not come back. It was very over priced also for the amount of good you get. read more

Have loved coming here for drinks with friends over the years. Very intimate spot by the Seneca River with an extensive selection of bottles and drafts. Came here recently on a Saturday afternoon when a friend suggested we stop for lunch. Lunch? Who knew they served food here?!? We were waited on right away and placed our orders. Quite a variety of sandwiches, burgers, paninis and wraps. Emphasis on their roast beef sandwich with a few variations of this staple. Ordered the chicken panini- wife and friend had the roast beef. Nothing terribly special about this place -- I would give it somewhere between 3 & 4 stars. Large and rotating craft beer selection, but mostly stuff you can have elsewhere and for cheaper (most pints are at least $6). Good selection of various roast beef sandwiches that come with a pickle & bag of Lays for $9. I had the El Diablo, which included a roasted jalapeño and was tasty. Good service. I give Samy Malones 4 out of 5 because the sandwiches take forever to be brought to your table. I would say each time I went for a beer and a sandwichi was on my second beer after waiting 30 minutes. I've been here quite a few times - for lunch, dinner, happy hour or a night out. Always an enjoyable time. Their food is seriously good stuff, not typical bar food. Their beer selection is awesome and the owner is a "keg hoarder" (as per the staff) which means you can usually get hard to find or out of season brews. We always take friend here when they're in town and have never been let down. The only downside is that sometimes service for food can be slow because they don't always staff well, but I give a 5 because everything else makes up for it. read more

Great bar for the Baldwinsville area. They offer "some" variety from the norm in the area and waaaaaaaay better than any of the local spots. Salads are great and so are the sandwiches. I think the roast beef has become over-rated but the the selection of beers makes up for it.
