Great customer service and they helped out with an issue on work vehicles lug nuts were over tightened from the same business but at a different location. They did the routine oil & filter change took about 2 hours but about 30 minutes was the lug nut issues. They did break a clip for my air filter that's why I have a lower star rating but the vehicle is a 2013 model so that should be in consideration as well. read more

I took my car in for an alignment ($120)! Tyler calls me back saying they can't do it due to other issues involved with the wheel and something being loose! new total $2000! he went over an application I could fill out and was pre approved not telling me APR is 34%! my friend took my car to another shop just to find out there was nothing else wrong and they did my alignment for ($115) SCAMMERS!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! They even told this other customer his new total was $1000! he was in shock because he knows his wife's car is up to par so that wasn't even true! read more

So took my vehicle to these guys because my car was idling high when I drove it. Even when my foot was not on the gas. I was charged about $200 for the diagnostic test which they did not waive after I decided to get the repairs done at their shop. They told me and gave me a print out of the diagnostic results. It said I needed a Computer Engine Control Module. The cost of the part and labor was over $1900. I was also charged over $300 for them to program the Computer Engine Module. Since tthey was going to have my vehicle I also had then repair some of the other things they suggested in the vehicle diagnostic test and the total reached over $3300. So I go to pick up my car and I get on the highway headed to work and my car is doing the exact same thing it was doing before I took the car to them. I called the shop and told them my car isn't fixed and I brought it back to them. The next day I talked to one of the workers named Justin and he told me that the problem was my catalytic converter and that I need get it fixed. He said he could quote me a price for it. I told him that I just paid over $3300 to get fixed what you all said was the problem. SameDay did the diagnostic and nothing was mentioned about the catalytic converter. I went to pick up my car and I posted a review detailing my experience with Sameday auto. The next day I get a call from the Manager Tim and he told me they would put on the catalytic converter on for no charge if I agreed to take down my negative review. I agreed. All I wanted was my car fixed and not to feel like I had been robbed for $3300. I go to pick up the car after the Catalytic converter has been put on. I get on the highway and the car IS STILL DOING THE EXACT SAME THING THAT IT WAS DOING THAT MADE ME BRING IT TO THEM. Tim is now telling me he believes the problem is something else. It's obvious now that they don't know what the problem is even after that $200 diagnostic test. Tim told me he'd call me back. He didn't so I called him and asked for his bosses number but he refused to give it to me. I called another location and asked for the contact info for the general manager but again I wasn't given the number but I was told that the general manager name was Dan and that they'd make sure he called me. Tim must have got word that I was calling other locations and he called me and said that Dan would call me Monday morning because he's busy and in meetings. As of right now Monday March 31 10:23am I have yet to receive a call from anyone. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any vehicle repair shop. Customer service is terrible. Meanwhile I'm out of $3300 and my car still is in the same condition it was in when I took it to them. read more

Last September, I took my car to Same Day Auto Repair to have all 4 Disc Brake Pads and Rotors replaced on my Pontiac. Two days ago, I needed some Power Steering fluid and repair, so I went to the Auto store to buy some. Well, the nice people there will do this for you for no charge, which they did. My Power Steering add-in is behind my motor and I can't reach it. Here's the kicker: While adding the fluid to my car, the tech noticed that the lid for my brake fluid was missing(????) We had not had the brake fluids checked nor filled since the brake job! I had to purchase a lid and gasket to replace the missing ones,which cost me MORE money!! Hmmm. I wonder who was it that forgot to replace that lid? And let me add: My tires were not lined up after the brakes were installed, and my car wobbles now. read more

I had a warning light come on in my Ford Edge, so I took it to Auto Zone to see what the problem was. The technician said the code indicated a leaky pipe from the gas line to the tank. He suggested going down the street to Same Day Auto. The mechanic at SDA confirmed the code, but he would need to run a smoke test to confirm the leak. I paid the $150 for the test. A few hours later, the mechanic confirmed the leak, which they said they could fix for $450. My son told me this was highly unusual and take the car elsewhere, which I did. The reputable repair place told me the computer only needed to be rebooted, removed the code, and sent me on my way for free. Don't let the Bible verses posted on their signs fool you; Same Day Auto personnel are a bunch of crooks! When I told them about their unethical business practices, they refused to give me a refund. We've had a couple of visits to this Same Day Auto location. Both times we have been treated with courtesy and respect. I appreciate that they have financing options, but Ray very clearly presented it as an option with no pressure to sign up for it. Not sure how much longer will be putting money into repairing our '03 Mountaineer, but as long as we are I trust these folks to do it right and to do it economically. I took my Cadillac here for an AC diagnosis. They wanted 600 bucks to replace a condenser. The auto clown techie named Jeff mumbled a remark about my car being old. He didn't put back the plastic and seals correctly which was preventing my hood from closing. But instead of correcting his ignorance he felt the need to insult the age of my car. I have both old and new cars. My Cadillac is a classic. I think it was a rude thing to say to a potential customer. I won't be back and would recommend not to take your business to this shop. I want to share the experience I had with this shop as a cautionary tale to anyone who is considering using them. If you don't want to read this whole thing, let me just say: they are either untrustworthy or incompetent. If you want to decide which is the case, I invite you to read the following story, but I do not suggest you take the risk of finding out for yourself. So anyway, my car (2001 Toyota Camry, 4 cyl) broke down at an intersection. Power brakes and power steering went out, electronics still functioned, however, when you turned the key it would crank, but not start. I had it towed to Same Day Auto Repair. They told me that, just to break down the engine enough to look at the problem, they would have to charge me $600. I know nothing about cars, so I agreed to pay the amount, thinking that, if they did the breakdown, surely they would be able to fix the engine for not much more. A little while later, I receive a call back and receive shocking news: the car, in order to run, will require nearly $5300 in repairs! I was devastated. I am a private tutor and so I have to drive back and forth to my students to make any money. I am very poor, so I absolutely cannot afford that amount. I pleaded with them, telling them that, if this is true, I may end up homeless. They didn't seem to care, insisting that, while they hated to break the bad news to me, that was the reality. They claimed that the timing belt had broken and that, because it was an interference engine, it had warped other parts of the engine, causing massive damage. On top of that, they told me a list of oil leaks that had to be fixed in order for it to function. I asked, again, if there was any way they could reduce the amount of repairs, just so it would run. No, they told me, I should just buy a new car. With that, I asked that they put the engine back together, because I wouldn't be able to pay for the repairs. Upon hearing this, I went to the internet and began begging friends for help and money, as I didn't have any other choice. Immediately several professional mechanics scoffed at the estimate and asked to see the claimed list of repairs. All of them unanimously agreed that it was nonsense. Several of them pointed out that literally putting an entirely new engine in the car would be cheaper. They also noted that, in fact, IT WAS NOT an interference engine and so none of the claimed damages to the engine could even happen. One of my friends called up the mechanic and asked for a description of the work that had already been done. The conclusion was: they had charged me $600 for less than an hour of work. I was blown away and insulted. I immediately went about figuring out how to tow the car to another location. When I went in to speak with them I told them that the engine was not an interference engine and that they had enormously overcharged me for the labor done. Ross, I think he was, insisted to me that it was actually an interference engine (spoiler alert: it wasn't) and informed me that they had consulted some standard resource to find out the labor costs. I told them that there was simply no way the labor could add to that much and that I needed to tow the car and he told me he would put a mechanic's lien on the car if I tried to tow it without paying him. He lowered the amount by $150, still charging me $450 for less than an hour of repairs and I am now stuck in a predatory three month loan where, if I fail to pay, I will be charged double the original amount. Free from their shop, I towed it to someone more trustworthy, Z Automotive, whom I highly, highly recommend. When I get it there, he begins to look at it and we realize that Same Day Auto has apparently left the engine disassembled AND they forgot to give us the parts, forcing me to drive back over to their shop and grab them! UTTER INCOMPETENCE. The car is now repaired and functions great. All that needed to be done was to replace the timing belt and fix some seals. Z also replaced the brakes. And the total cost, parts and labor included? $700! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS read more

Terrible service. They overcharged me, and I argued the price and they went down on the price because they knew they were overcharging me for the service they provided. They took forever to fix my vehicle. They also didn't cover the expenses of when they messed up something on my vehicle, they refused to pay for the damages. Rick helped me out! I know nothing about cars and he seemed like a reasonable guy and was really trying to help me financially by getting the best prices for parts. Even though I still have to pay a pretty penny, it's mostly my fault I waited to take it in. Also, after fixing my car and taking it home a noise started. I took it back because obviously something wasn't right. They looked at it, fixed whatever was needed. And now there's no noise. It's been a week now and it's perfect. They also didn't charge for this. The best part of this experience is these men didn't make me feel uncomfortable, or trying to take my money(even if they are, who actually knows). I took my 2005 Prius here for a blocked A/C duct and brake work. Was impressed with the efforts made by the staff to get me in as quickly as they could and their professional and courteous demeanor. The shop is clean and professionally run and the atmosphere is one of respect and professionalism. They gave me an estimate and explained to me what needed to be done in detail. In addition, they employ staff who are knowledgeable about the type of car I own (a hybrid). I feel their prices are very reasonable. When I was hearing a noise after applying the brakes after I left the shop, I immediately called and they rechecked them again and adjusted a very small part (non-safety issue) for no charge within the hour, even though they were very busy. Went in for a front end alignment they looked at everything else that was wrong with my car and then told me that they could not do the aignment due to other issues that they wanted to fix. first he quoted me 2700 to fix everything that was wrong with my car and when i told him no the guy seem a little upset because i didn't want to pay the 2700 dollars. I came in to have them look at my brakes they were way over priced when I said I'd have to pay my bills first then see my finances they tried every trick in the book to get me. The worst thing they SEVERELY over tightened my lug nuts so I'd have no choice but to go to them to have them taken off. Despite the other Reviews, I actually had a pleasant experience at this location. I've been going to the one on 61st and Lewis location for 2 years and never had a problem. Wonderful customer service. I moved out of town and this was the closest location. When I called to make an "ASAP" appointment, Rick pulled some strings and was able to get me in even though they were busy that day. Dropped my car off and received it back better than ever in a timely manner. Keep in mind I'm a young 21 year old that knows the stigma but I genuinely felt like Rick had my best interest at heart when we went over different things I need to get fixed. He explained every little thing in detail without me having to ask. Even when it came to paying, he went over all the payment plans available and really helped me make the right choice for my financial situation. He was very personable and the Customer service from everyone in that building was spot on to that of those from my other favorite location. I went to Same Day Auto Repair on S. Sheridan a few yrs ago. BAD MISTAKE!! I had an oil pan leak and wanted them to fix electric locks. They fixed drain pan ok. But the locks were still messed up. I took it back for them to work on locks again. They still didn't work. They charged me 585 bucks for their lousy work. Plus took me days to get it back. They should call it SAME MONTH AUTO REPAIR!! Wish I could give them zero stars. Took my truck in (first visit ever) because it was making a terrible amount of noise from the brakes. They said my brakes needed replacement, which I believe because there was 113K miles on the factory brakes. They also told me I needed new u-joints and some other work. Total of $1200. I don't have anything concrete, but after every single person I asked said it was unlikely I needed new u-joints without any symptoms other than the shop saying I did, I kind of doubt it. But whatever, now I have new u-joints and brand new brakes. As soon as I drove away from the shop I put my foot on the brakes at the first stop light and put the pedal all the way to the floor with no response. Then suddenly the brakes engaged fully. Terrifying. Turned around and went back to the shop where they re-adjusted the brakes. Went home and parked. My driveway is steep so I always use the parking brake. Next morning I drove off with the parking brake on. Up to that point I had been able to rev the engine almost to redline with the parking brake on and it would not move an inch, the brake was solid. So I took it back and they supposedly fixed it, but it still isn't what it should be. A couple days later it was making more squeaking noises. Thinking it was coming from the new brakes I returned. They told me it wasn't the brakes, it was a loose belt. I asked which belt, they said there were 2 possible.I ok'd them to change the serpentine belt. Before I left I specifically asked if there were 2 belts in addition to the timing chain, they told me there are, so if it was still making noise to come back and they'd change the other belt. That's incorrect, there is one belt and a timing chain on my truck. So they lied. The next day I was driving out in the boondocks and the brand new serpentine belt shredded, leaving me stuck 20 miles outside of Tulsa. I called them, furious. I told them as soon as it was fixed I was coming back for a refund. They told me that if the brand new serpentine belt was shredded there had to be something wrong with my truck and asked me to take it to the nearest Same Day for repair and replacement of the belt at no charge. I had it towed to another Same Day and they said there's nothing wrong with the truck, the first shop installed the belt incorrectly. They replaced the belt and sent me on my way. Next day it was still making the same squeaking noise that now 2 Same Day Autos have looked at and told me it was just problems with the belt. Took it to another shop and they fixed it, Will NEVER return to this place. Just awful. read more

I took my Lexus in for an oil change. I was changing to a synthetic lubricant and decided to try someone besides the dealer. I got just what I wanted, a quick friendly oil change without anyone trying to sell me other services. The service bays were clean and orderly. The waiting room was clean and very plain. But I still allowed myself to go here because it was triple A approved. I wish I would have followed my first mind Please pay attention to the reviews this place is horrible and they will over charge you. I was charged $576 to replace my starter I also paid a extra $100 dollars to do a diagnostic on my car. He wrote(by hand) things down stating the problem He didn't even give me any paperwork stating what they found. On my original receipt it said further testing need to be done to see what the exact problem is but remember he wrote things down saying I have many problems wrong with my car Over $ 4,000 worth. I was visiting in Tulsa and went in because my battery light was on and nafter talking with my own mechanic, I knew I needed a new alternator. I was referred to them by a person working at the motel where I was staying. They got me right in and repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately, they charged $50 to do diagnostics when I already knew what needed to be done. Then told me that I needed a new air filter, my radiator needed to be partially drained and antifreeze added because it only tested at +45 degrees, I needed a new timing chain, belts, and valve cover gaskets. They apparently DIDN'T check the oil. I had them fix the alternator and replace the air filter and waited on all the rest. Worried all the time I was there and all the way back to NE. The day after arriving home, took my vehicle to the mechanic I have used for over 20 years. Oil was so low, it barely registered, radiator tested at 54 degrees below zero - I watched them use the tape and they showed me the results. The timing chain and belts showing wear but did not need to be replaced. Gaskets are showing wear. I had read the YELP reviews and should have taken them seriously. I think they saw a 67 year old female from out of town and would have taken me to the cleaners had I not said NO to most of what they "said" I needed. read more

I have a 2005 Honda Civic. The key would not turn in the ignition. I took it to Same Day Auto Repair (on the recommendation of a towing service) and Same Day Auto said they could fix it. They decided the entire ignition needed to be replaced and they quoted me $1270 to do the job ($700 for a new part and the rest in labor). After doing some research on the internet, I discovered that my problem is extremely common in Hondas and can be easily fixed by a locksmith. I called a locksmith and he fixed the problem in about 45 minutes and charged me $125. I feel that Same Day Auto Repair tried to scam me by trying to charge me 10 times (!) the cost of the repair for what is a common problem in Hondas. Even if they were not trying to scam me, they should have known enough to call a locksmith themselves. read more
