Have a leak under my engine. Called at 11am, they had us come in at 1pm and got us out by 1:20. They could not work on our problem but then referred us to another shop in town. Absolutely do not recommend. Salesmen are great people especially ruben. Never had an issue with them. Went there to just get tires. My car is a manual. Do not have a handbrake so I specifically told them to just leave in gear when you turn it off. The salesman wrote that on there so there was no issue there. I guess the mechanic didn't even think to look at the note so when he try's to park it I just see it keep rolling and braking rolling and braking. Also ended up with a broken hub cap on my rare wheel. No diligence at all. They just seem careless. DO NOT RECCOMEND!!! read more

I have used Tate Boys for years and bought my tires through them. I was having a low tire issue and took it to them, after having it for 5 hours just before closing I had to call and ask if it was done. The only thing they did is put air in the tire and said they found nothing in the tire. Still having low tire issues I took the car to Hibbdon in Owasso and they found a nail in it. So Tate Boys not only lied to me they never checked the tire. They have lost a long standing customer. read more

This is a rip off place. My wife went to et the oil changed and they told her she needed a new lug nut!!! I took another vehicle for an oil change and they told me the oil drain plug was leaking. I wanted to look at it and they said never mind the oil change is free. (it isn't leaking) read more

Zero Stars. Dropped vehicle and they said come back at 1:00 as it should be done. Got busy and showed up at 3:30. Walked up and guy was annoyed I was so perplexed as to why 6 hours is not acceptable to complete an oil change. I have gone there for years with multiple vehicles with similar experiences and it hit me like a Thunder Bolt. Why am I putting up with service that you have build your day around for a simple oil change. After I went up to counter after another hour passed I asked the guy the status he looked at me like a puppy dog clueless why I was getting annoyed. He did not care....he has to work till 6 so I should just keep my head down and accept their poor business model. I left and went to the new Tire Pros that just opened up off of 169 and 106th street. Tire Pros was polite and asked if 45 minutes to an hour was okay. I would still be at Tate Boys waiting around like a house plant for an oil change. Don't accept status quo people. Our time is more valuable than 6 hour oil changes. read more

They were able to change the oil on my Lexus SUV within 1 hour without an appointment. They also rotated the tires without charge. The service was good to excellent. The prices were more than usual. I,e. Called the Lexus dealer and was quoted 30 $ less for full synthetic oil change. But for convenience, I have no complaints. They do seem to be honest enough and definitely polite. It's probably better for purchasing tires than the other auto care. Overall, a good experience decreased the star rating due to the price of oil change. read more

place is a rip off. This is Owasso Ok not Beverly Hills. I was a loyal customer until today. Charged my fiance 75 dollars to put on a belt that literally takes 30 seconds to install and charged her 40 bucks for a 14 dollar belt. In all her water pump cost 900 bucks for labor and parts. it shouldn't have been 1/2 that. Won't go back, not even for an oil change. You lost a customer today! I had a first couple of good experiences here. They finished way earlier than they had said and what I thought, for the regular oil change and checkup. One time they took the longest time though, granted they changed all the tires but it seemed like no one was working on my car until I asked them if it was almost ready and they told me they couldn't do the alignment. It turned out I needed a super expensive part to be changed. I decided to not have them do it mostly because it seemed like they had me waiting longer than necessary and I hadn't budgeted that part and it turned out that my brother did it for half the price simply ordering and installing it on his own (yay for big brothers!). Turns out that I hadn't bought the protection plan for the tires so I had to replace all four tires in less than three months and pay full price but I guess that one was on me for not paying attention at what I was getting. The last time I went in, I had the oil changed and the new tires put in in an hour and a half. I had to come back the next morning to get the alignment. I had the second person in and it took 45 minutes. Mechanics don't arrive until 8am FYI. At 830 my car was pulled in the back so I was out by 915ish. read more

I'm completely overwhelmed by their kindness Today!! I came to them for a free tire check up because my car started shaking on the highway, & I had my 2 young daughters with me! So I took the exit to Tate Boys! They told me my back tires were bad & the back left tire could blow out at any minute! But I could not afford new tires :( So I asked them if they could put my spare/donut on, just so I could make it home safely. They told me to pull around & park near a bay. To my Amazement, they came back out & said a "good samaritan" paid for a New Tire on my car! And then the employee, named Aslan Angel (I believe that was their name) paid for a 2nd New Tire for me & also installed them on my car! And then a few other employees came out & asked me to pull in so they could rotate my tires as well, all free of charge!! Having been a customer for over seven years and buying two sets of tires here, I was completely gobsmacked when I arrived recently with a tire running low on air (it was under warranty) and told I would have to wait two or three hours for them "to look at it." They do not accept appointments. We live almost fifty miles away from Tate and we are not in a position to leave our vehicle. So, we have to wait. In over a dozen previous visits to Tate our minimum wait time has been two hours, several time three hours, two times around four hours and one time, five and one half hours. All the while, during each and everyone of these visits a customer or two or three would come in with this same tire losing air, or a dying battery or a broken rearview mirror or whatever issue and they were taken care of immediately. A message was sent to Tate several days after this incident. No response. Then the nerve to send me an offer in the mail for service. There is no service at Tate anymore. Today, over an hour on the phone to corporate and guess what. On all five lines into corporate all their voicemail boxes are full. What a hot stinking mess. We will never return. read more

I think the value of their product is good - competitive pricing, the fact they rotate tires on any car in your family for free, they put air in your tires when you don't wanna get out in the cold, etc. awesome there!! But boy howdy I'll never bring on of my specific cars to them again. They caused a few thousand $ worth of damage to my vehicle by a punk kid letting the arm of the lift smash in the underside. Not only did they not tell me about it before giving me back my car (it was in an unnoticeable spot) but they provided me a loaner that was trashed out and disgusting - after i had to ask for a loaner. My car was in the shop for 18 days and they offered nothing to make it right. Of course, they paid for the damage, rightfully so but never tried to make things right or excel in the customer service department (or makeup for the kids big uh oh) It sucks cause obviously this isn't all of tate boys and I'm sure there are punks like this at every shop / but it just so happened to be with these guys on a costly mistake to my car. read more

I made a mistake when I tried to fill my tractor tire with air. Found out my compressor was really inadequate to do that job. So I called Tate Boys ( in Owasso) and they said " bring it in, we have a big compressor". So my neighbor and I strained and got this one hundred plus pound monster tire into his pickup. We pulled into Tate Boys not looking forward to struggling with a heavy tractor tire again when 3 hearty looking guys came up and said " don't worry, we'll get it". Whew! What a relief. Soon they had it inflated and rolled it back into the bed of the truck. l asked for the bill and they said " no charge". Amazing! I will be back for my tire purchases for sure . First off, shout to Ricky, Mgr at the S Washington location. He's won my trust and my business. I had new tires put on at Tate Boys in Broken Arrow and wasn't too pleased to have to replace one within a month. So I can admit I may have set a bad tone to begin our interaction as I walked into the 75 shop; but when speaking with Ricky for a little, he actually tried to communicate with me. So once we could speak the same language and got on the same page: He made me feel so taken care of and valued I really had nothing to complain about and was impressed by the creative and mutual solution. Instead of the disappointment I had expected initially, I was totally at ease and comfortable in his hands. It's rare to experience the concept of "feeling heard" in customer service these days and it was so refreshing and remarkable to get the pro treatment thanks to Ricky. Called last minute during 11-12pm and spoke to Jesse, asked if I could swing by and pricing to fix my steering fluid as ever time I turned it sounded rusted, he said come by free of charge and when I got there they did exactly that and checked my alignment, topped off oil for my steering and checked all the fluids, tires, etc. great service and love how theirs children's toys!!! Was quoted a hour to a hour and 15 minutes for an oil change. But it ended up taking 2 hours, and no one ever explained the delay. As I'm waiting a customer that had to wait for about 10 minutes was given an apology and a free car wash certificate to oasis car wash. I was given nothing except the guy saying sorry we didn't update you about the delay. I have an idea why I wasn't offered the same as the other customer, but I'll keep that to myself and will go elsewhere from now on. Maybe try treating all customers the same. read more

I had my 2007 BMW in for a routine oil Change . When picking the car up we drove away all of a sudden the car is smoking and we open the hood and oil is everywhere - had to stop put oil in and drive back - sure enough no ring was put in the car - the manager went out and said who did this to the technicians - he took care and had it hoses off - we took the car - less than 2 days later the serpentine belt , alternator , thermostat , mass air flow sensor and seals are all bad ! I'm deep in this car almost 1500. 00 - I go up and let them know and the manager said he remembers this issue etc - there was oil in my mass air flow sensor - alternator, the engine still has oil on it - he calls my husband and said that he spoke with technician and alternator and belt are related to the oil issue that was caused by the tech not doing the oil right - listen up it's all related to it - we are waiting to see what is going to happen if they're going to pay us back for this or seek a law suit - we are in it almost half the value of the car . - update - we went back in and there refunding The alternator, serpentine belt and having the seal fixed - 650.00 is what there refunding less than half - not taking responsibility for MAF and for thermostat . read more

My car had been making some concerning noises, so we took it by Tate Boys in Owasso. They explained that their services were limited to front end area of the car and we agreed to check it out and see if they could work on it. My AC was also not working so I asked them to look at that as well. Less than 40 minutes later, I was informed that they were not able to diagnose the sound as it took place in an area that they do not service and that my AC compressor was bad. We decided to take it elsewhere to get the sound taken care of first and come back later for the AC. Even though we couldn't get the car worked on there, I was really pleased with the customer service there. They also gave me the card of a full service mechanic that they recommended, which is helpful since we just moved here from Oregon and don't know the area hardly at all yet.
