Just had him change my timing belt, tensioner, and water pump. He called during to tell me my power steering belt and serpentine belt needed to be replaced also. Just charged me for the belts, no extra labor. Not the first time I've been there(he fixed my a/c last year) and won't be the last. Hard to find a really good mechanic you can trust and doesn't try to over charge. Can't say enough good things about KC Auto, so if you're looking for a good honest place, look no further! Took my truck in there a about two and a half years ago because a turn signal wasn't working. After a day or two, they said it was ready. When I went to pick it up, it wouldn't start and they tried to charge me for repairs. After enough complaining, they got it running without charging me. My turn signals and wipers aren't working. I went to replace the multifunction switch to find they had broken the carrier and zip tied it in place. Garbage company. When I asked how much I owed, they told me nothing. I was prepared and willing to pay a bit for the time even though I didn't have an answer. That's typical for a shop. I had my vehicle repaired. The owner bought a part from another state. He will not give me a receipt that show him bought the part from another state.. this tells me he bought here locally for really cheap. I will not be taking any of my vehicle to be repaired to JC auto repair.. there is more red lights lid up before I took it to him. I was a KC Auto customer for two years when one day I took my SUV in for some pre-vacation trip work, specifically to have the brakes worked on. After picking up my vehicle and driving it on a highway, the front wheels began shaking and I immediately turned off on the next exit. Lucky thing because none of the lugnuts on the passenger side front tire were tightened. All except one sheared off, and I had to have the vehicle towed back to them. Unfortunately for me, I had to rent another SUV for our trip early the next morning. Shoddy work, and although they "fixed" the work (and assurances by the manager that he personally checked the work) I had to immediately return the vehicle so they could work on it a third time. Lost time, lost money, and worse yet - the owner of KC Auto opted to lose me as a customer instead of do anything. Given the owner's attitude towards the customers, skip the hassle! I've used KC Auto Repair for multiple major services and repairs, and their integrity, prices, communication, and service has been exceptional. A water pump they put on had a manufacturing defect, and they replaced it at no charge to me. Recently, I was prepared to replace all 4 struts on my car, and they let me know only the rear was needed, saving me hundreds. How many mechanics in town would do that? Didnt fix my car for two days because they claimed i owed them money when i had never been there...(thought i was another person with same last name and never called in that time to clarify)Backed into my car while in their care, denting and scraping my car. Would not pay for damage they caused unless we paid their ridiculous quote($700) first and told me they weren't responsible if I took my car elsewhere to be fixed. I had to pay for two tow trips because they declined to release it asking me to pay $40 for diagnostic when they caused damage they now will not fix. After I repaired my car less then $200 read more

I've used KC for the last few years and never had any issues. Fast & courteous as well as understanding when I occasionally say I need a "quick fix" for now. I can't complain about them. Being a young woman with no ring on the finger, I've had issues in the past of people trying to upsell, take advantage, or grossly exaggerate things just to make a quick $. I cannot say enough about how happy I was with my service at KC Auto, and how much of a budget and car saver they turned out to be. I own a '93 corvette that had a few issues when I bought it. After 3 trips and $2000 at the dealership service department, I was no closer to a fully working vehicle. Users on a corvette forum pointed me to KC, so I gave them a shot. The first time I brought it in, my car would not act up like it did with me, and although they thought they might have found the issue, they were not sure and were hesitant to charge me for an expensive repair that may not fix my issues (the dealership did not show me that courtesy). I waited for the car to show symptoms more frequently and brought the car back in. This time they were able to spot the real problem and get if fixed for under $200, saving me about $1200 in repairs I wouldn't have needed. Kelly, the owner, always contacted me directly and was very thorough when describing the issues and possible solutions. Having just bought a house after buying this car, knowing that they were working to solve the problem as inexpensively as possible was a huge load off of my mind. I would also like to thank Al, the mechanic, specifically for finding what turned out to be a very weird and unexpected problem.
