    Lagman and Kompot
    Clayton H.

Great place! The food is so well seasoned! Everything was great but the roasted vegetables took the show. The chef uses a fresh lemon garlic sauce that is to die for. The lamb kabob was very tender and juicy. First time I've drank kompot! What flavor! Must try!

$12.99 for ONE skewer and potatoe wedges? Can you please tell me if this looks like a $12.99 plate with only one skewer and "fries"?

BEWARE BEWARE LISTEN HERE, ! What I witnessed today was a complete disgrace to Middle Eastern Food. What they are serving here is a complete disgrace. Have been coming to this restaurant because of the previous owner but the NEW OWNER sucks ! There needs to be something done about there false advertisement ! I paid over $75.00 and in return I was given 5 skewers and potatoes wedges? Have you ever been to a middle eastern restaurant that ONLY gave you skewers and fries? Not to mention fries that appear to be from the grocery store frozen-food section? THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY ! , , , , . , , - . - , - ! - ! 75 , 5 ? - , ? , , ?

So in my previous review I've told a bunch of negatives about this place. This afternoon we decided to give it a try because we found out the previous owners took over my wife immediately assured me they really do a great job. She was right. It really was just like back home. Thank you guys.

I've never had food from Uzbekistan before, but am somewhat familiar with Russian and Ukrainian food. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and not hard to miss. It's on the end, with a door that is unmistakable. When we walked in, the entryway was covered in gauze, and a woman greeted us and sat us. We ordered a few things - Greek salad (they were out of the Olivier salad, sad face!), chicken Tabaka, and Khonim (pasta roll with beef, potato and onions, topped with sour cream). We also ordered bread. The portions were *massive* - we ended up taking more than 1/2 our food home, and the leftovers served us for three days. The food was really quite tasty, although as others have mentioned, it did not have a lot of seasoning. I was actually okay with this, as the food I grew up with had a lot of seasoning and left me feeling really heavy - this food did not. Service was great throughout the meal, and we watched some Uzbek music videos while eating, which was awesome.

I've travelled down to Denver and found out this Uzbek restaurant, cozy and comfy, homemade delicious Uzbek food.I had dumplings and samsa (pastry with meat).Price is very affordable and I would highly recommend this place. P.S. Nothing fancy ,but feels like home. Will come again if I'll be in Denver,CO

I am torn about this establishment. Time was about 19:00hrs ish. When we entered this establishment, we can choose where ever we want to seat. We opt to see at one of the "LONG TABLES" near to the Bar. While we were there, there is a Huge Party of Ladies celebrating something seated on our Left Wing aka at the Left Wing of this establishment. During our Dinner, many more Patrons having their Dinner here. From our observations, perhaps most of the Patrons, might have known this establishment or the staffs. Perhaps are the other patrons are REGULARS and though I might be wrong, they might have been speaking Russian or Uzbeck to one another. Personally, we cannot get the full experiences since some of the dishes stated in the Menu, they either don't make it, or don't have it. *BIG SIGH* From what I could recall we ordered the following items : * Sambusa ($4.99) * Fresh Salad ($5.99) * Lamb Shish Kebab + Rice ($10.00) * Ribs Shish Kebab + Rice ($11.99) * Samarkand Pilaf ($7.99) * Lamb The Fresh Salad comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, raw red onion, oil/mayonnaise and greens. The Samarkand Pilaf Rice comes with Beef, sliced onions, carrots and spices mixed with freshly cooked rice. Take note, this Samarkand Pilaf can be "smelly" due to the meat they used. Its LOADED with MORE CARROTS, than I can imagined. Thankfully, Hubs like this dish a lot. As for the Lamb and Ribs Shish Kebab, we opt to have it with Rice. YES both Proteins comes in with METAL SKEWERs. The Rice is sprinkled with some kind of Red Powder which tasted like Sumac and Raw Slices of Red Onions. Thankfully, both Proteins, are tender to eat. Take note, the BREAD, they served is AUTOMATICALLY, charged in your Check aka Bill, if you don't check it or even don't eat. Thankfully, I check the Check aka The Bill before leaving. We also opt to have 2 orders of Coke Cola. Each was $1.50, hence it was $3.00 Take note, for the Coke Cola, from my observation, they pour it from those Plastic Bottled of 2 Liters. Hubs also opt to have Coffee ($1.50). Its just a generic kind of BLACK Coffee. Unfortunately, there aren't any regular sugar at our table. Hubs rated the food we ordered as 4 stars especially the Pilaf that Hubs like it a lot, and NOT forgetting the Sambusa. YES, the Sambusa is filled with Ground Beef and Lamb with spices and "fried" with Pyhllo Dough aka Filo Dough. Who does not like anything FRIED and comes in Phyllo Dough?? To return just a maybe though NOT in a hurry, provided they can OFFER ALL THE DISHES stated in their Menu. http://www.samarkandfoods.com/

One of my favorite Borscht that I've had

Delicious! We were in the mood to try some Russian food today and took a chance on here. We are so glad that we did! First off the place was spotless. It was bit busy, since we got there close to the mid day closing until dinner It had a steady flow of to go orders and people coming in. The waitress spoke very broken English It took a bit to understand each other - but she was patient and pleasant and we were able to order some delicious Russian food - just like Grandmother (Babushka) used to make

    Borsch, manti & black tea

If you are looking for Russian and/or Uzbek cuisine - this is the place you must visit. Everything is delicious! I will definitely come again.

    Great murals!

Fortunately when we arrived, only two of them were occupied (I did notice that quite a few people came in to pick up takeout orders while we were there, tho). Anyway after perusing the menu we decided on the following: - A cup of Solyanka (soup) - Beef, turkey, sausage, cabbage, olives, carrots, pickles - A cup of Borscht (soup) - red beets, grass fed beef, onions, carrots, potatoes, served with the spoon of sour cream and fresh herbs - Hinkali - 5 large Georgian style meat dumplings. Served with our special spicy tomato sauce - Cabbage Meat Roll (Golubtsi) - a cabbage roll dish consisting of cooked cabbage leaves wrapped around meat fillings seasoned with garlic, onion, and spices. Served with sour cream. - Honey Cake - Layered cake with light touch of honey and pastry cream between layers. OK. This was a TON of food and each dish (except the cake) came with sour cream. Both cups of soup were incredibly filling (glad we didn't order bowls, but a bowl would be a nice lunch by itself maybe with some bread). Everything was delicious and portions were large. We ended up bringing most of the dumplings home since we were so full (they reheated pretty well the next day). The Solyanka was a real surprise. I'd never had a soup with olives and pickles in it before. It was really yummy! Our server was nice and very polite, and the restaurant is very cute and clean. I would definitely eat here again.

He gave us recommendations and was proud of how much food we ordered between two asian women. The affirmation paired well with the food. Our favorite was the Clambasa. I was worried the kielbasa would overpower the littleneck clams but it was perfect together. You can taste all the ingredients in the dish well. The bone marrow was gone before I could take a picture---rightfully so. But the horseradish mustard blew my mind. The ONLY reason I'm not raving anout the Shuba salad is because a good friend of mine makes it so much better. No skin off of Molotov's back at all, homemade at custom to me will always win. The quail was a disappointing. I didn't notice that the sauce was listed as BBQ. I could not taste the quail. By the time the Porchetta came, we were readilly full...but that didn't matter. Crisp, fatty and flavorful. I recommend the horseradish horilka for all the dishes. Lastly, the pistachio blintz. "Not too sweet," is the Asian's highest praise to any dessert and this deserves it. LOVELY and light. A perfect end to a rich and savory dinner. And no, do not pair this with the horseradish horlike (just in case you were wondering). For this visit, my sister and I decided to sit in the patio area and sit under their local resident regular, the squirell in the tree (his name is Vlad, but his street name is Chad). But next time, I would op to sit inside. It is very cozy with PLENTY of things for your eyes to scrutinize. The first visit was not enough to take everything in, both visually and gastricly (no more room left). A repeat visit is warranted and highly recommended.
