Went here to check what the fuss is all about coz it has 5 stars on Google review. This is a local Persian and Mediterranean restaurant located just a few minutes from Dallas Love Field. The Persian food was really good and prepared personally by Samad himself, a Persian native in a little shack that brings about a homegrown experience. His wife helps her serve and in the kitchen and so does his son. Samad came to our table and talked to us how he started and how every dish is prepared; how he picks quality ingredients for his dishes. They only have lunch served because he said serving dinner will be overwhelming for him, his wife and son. Food is authentic Persian. We ordered the beef koobideh, chicken kabob and the well seasoned leg quarter that falls off the bone. I can see why this is getting the attention ---because of the owner's personal connection with the customers

Lamb Shank and rice plate.

The lamb shank and rice was really delicious! It was a very good meal in a very quiet out of the way environment. It's always wonderful to try something new from a family cafe! I had never had Persian food before, but I like it a lot now

Lamb shank Ghormeh Sabzi (Green herbs stew with rice)

Came here over the weekend and had their lamb shank and ghorma sabzi, both were incredibly delicious. The soup touched my soul and the lamb shank was perfect for a sunny spring day. The rice was also very well seasoned I really like rice that isn't plain. We enjoyed the cozy feel and the kind hearted helpful staff. The meat is locally/more ethically sourced and you can taste the quality in their food. They do take card btw!

Tik Tok made me do it! Since seeing the viral video, I've been wanting to try this place. We came on a Saturday around lunch time. The restaurant is tiny and parking is the lot next door. Keep an eye out so you don't miss it. When we walked in, we sat ourselves. It's a small restaurant. The server came and explained to us their menu. He was so friendly and answered any questions we had. They don't have a huge menu, but a good enough variety to pick from. Wife got the sowed cooked spinach and lamb. I can't remember the name I got the lamb shank (Tik Tok special) Both dishes came with rice. They also include some bread (similar to tortilla), onion, and lime to complement the dish. Everything was so good! Meat were tender. My favorite rice was the one with raisin, it provided a sweet taste to complement the savory rice. Definitely go try this little gem out. Do not skip it!

Entrance, to an amazing food experience!

This food is delicious! I enjoy Greek food and decided to try Persian. I was not disappointed! Samad, the owner, was the best host! It was like he prepared and served us an authentic home cooked meal! Great experience!

I love love love this place, Mr Samad, amazing human being that makes the best authentic Persian food I have had in a long long time besides my mom's cooking. Homey atmosphere, excellent service, excellent gheyme khoresht, amazing koobideh kebob, fantastic mast-o- khiar and salad shirazi.ade me feel like HOME and that is not what you will ever get from 5 star restaurant. This man deserves his own Michelin star. Thank you Mr Samad for everything, you truly are a Persian Gentleman

Great food, don't let the look of the place scare you off. The owner is a really nice man. Menu is limited but it's a nice change up.

Apparently, the owners at Shiraz were the old owners at Giovanni's. It is located in a small strip mall and very nice inside. We were seated right away. We were planning on eating a lot and our waitress seemed a little irritated that we were going to share a combination chicken and kebab plate. To appease her, we also ordered some appetizers of Hummus and Babaganoush. Both were very tasty with a different taste profile than the Lebanese or Greek versions. The Koobideh and Chicken Kebab combination plate was delicious. The Rice and Grilled Tomatoes that came with it were very tasty as well. We finished off with some Baklava and Persian Tea. The Baklava tasted like it was made in-house. This place is a little pricier than some other Persian Restaurants but you can tell in their quality. I would definitely return here in the future.

Every single dish was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. The chicken and veggies were seasoned with just enough spices where it had a slight kick, but not overpowering at all. A perfect balance to bring out the natural flavors of each item. The pita was perfection! Soft and warm, with a slight char on some of the pieces, which added such a beautiful bite with the hummus. Speaking of hummus, the Izmir hummus was silky smooth and incredible. I've had a lot of restaurant hummus and this one was MILES in ahead of them. I'm not usually a desert eater, but their Tiramisu is to die for! The service is spot on, as if they anticipate your needs, but not intrusive. On the way out they give the ladies a rose, a nice touch. I see why this place has become the beloved Dallas institution it is. I can't wait to go back!

The koobideh itself was good, definitely tasty, but more in the "solid" range rather than something that really stands out compared to other spots I've tried. I also had the mast o khiar. Super fresh, really flavorful, and a big portion. I like to eat it with the bread and alongside the koobideh, which might not be traditional but I love it. I also tried the tahdig gheymeh that my friend ordered. First time having it and I'm glad I did. The rice had a nice crunch and the stew was flavorful. Not sure I'd order it normally, but worth trying. The restaurant was pretty quiet during lunch, just one other table, so service was quick and smooth. I left full and satisfied. Overall, a good spot with generous portions and solid flavors. Not the absolute best Persian food I've had, but still a place I'd come back to when I'm in the area.

I walked in thinking I'd have a "light lunch" and walked out needing a nap and a structural engineer to check if my belt was still up to code. The Food: The hummus is so smooth I'm pretty sure it could solve international conflicts if we just gave everyone a pita bread peace treaty. I ordered the Kabob, and let me tell you, the meat was so tender it basically gave up and melted the second it saw my fork. The rice is fluffy enough to be used as a premium hotel pillow, though I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it--you'll want to eat every grain. The Experience: The staff is great, but be warned: they have a "dangerously hospitable" vibe. You'll be sitting there, minding your own business, and suddenly there's more food on your table. I didn't know if I was at a restaurant or if I'd been adopted by a Iranian family who thinks I haven't eaten since 2022. The Verdict: If you're in Frisco. TX and you want to eat until you can no longer comfortably sit behind a steering wheel, this is your spot. Come for the garlic sauce, stay because you're physically too heavy to leave. Pro Tip: Wear your "stretchy" pants. You've been warned.

Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself.
