It's literally hidden on the second floor on Fulton St. The roast pork has crispy skin and is amazing. I got a combo with 2 meat of char siu and roast pork with vegetables and rice. The grand Opening special is really cheap at 5.99 with only char siu over rice in a small container. The medium size is 8.99. The dumplings took forever at 6 for 5.99 and didn't have the crispy bottom. I'd probably not order the pan fried dumplings again since they also take a long time to cook.

This is legit traditional Chinese bbq meat. The Roast pig is probably my favorite of the meats. The char siu is g9od as well as the duck.

Small shop, no seating but great food for take out. Friendly attentive service. Order pickup ahead for less wait time. It's on the 2nd floor- stairs only - no elevator or accessibility ramp however I get the feeling the staff will have no problems running your order down to you, they were so sweet and were looking in the hallway for customers who'd ordered and strayed off while waiting for their number order to be called. Food is very fresh, good prices- value . What drew me in was the special- Rice and Cha Siu for 5.99 When I went in I did go for the medium size instead for 8.99 . It was a 10 minute wait for the char su to finish cooking. It was clearly indicated before I ordered (I appreciate that). I was in no hurry . They also gave samples of milk tea , it was really good. I got 3 orders of food for my family. Everything was thoroughly enjoyed . I liked the ginger garlic sauce on the side . The pork was very tender and delicious. I cant wait to try the other items on the menu. This is a wonderful spot for affordable hot lunch. Highly recommend.

New Chinese BBQ place that opened in FiDi! It is up a small flight of stairs. I had the Char Siu platter for the grand opening special, and it was a steal!! Very filling for $6 and tasty too. The rice was cooked to perfection, the pork had a nice sweet and smoky flavor, and it was paired with a delicious scallion ginger sauce. Everyone was very friendly too. Wishing Sam Ping's great success in the new spot!

Saw on some social media reels of the hype for this restaurant. For me of course, it's about the food! So today I decided to walk downtown and try them out. Did the couple protein combo with Cha Siu and Crispy Pork Belly along with some Sheng Jian Bao pork buns. Paying for the double combo was so worth it. The Cha Siu pork was so tender and flavorful. The pork belly was amazing, perfectly crispy and delicious. Was served over white rice and steamed veggies which were also very flavorful. The pork buns were pan fried and very flavorful. Soft yet slight crisp. Nicely done. Staff were very friendly and helpful and their food knowledge was very impressive. It's only for take out, unfortunately not ADA accessible. You can order in person or online, cash or card. Food made to order so you may wait slightly. They say Fridays tend to be light but rest of the week there's a line out the door and down the steps so it can get very busy. That shows how good the food they serve is. Will come back another time, just gotta make sure it's on a Friday wink wink.

I came by because of the $5.99 char siu special they had for the grand opening. The staff was friendly and they were honest about how long the dim sum was sitting on the window counter. I wish there was a steam table to keep it fresh or have the food made to order. The food itself was good but I wish it came with a side of veggie like cabbage because traditionally it suppose to come with it. I guess they can give an option to add with no charge because I know some people don't want the veggie with the rice and meat. There's no seats inside so you take the food and head to the pier to eat it or the park nearby. Lastly, I'm sorry to disappoint the little kid who requested to give his dad's restaurant 5 stars. I might next time but for now it's a really solid 4 stars.

First time trying this place out and I'm already thinking what I'm going to order the 2nd time I come back, I haven't even finished this 1st meal yet. Haha. The price and the quality of the food here, considering the location, are unbeatable. This will definitely be ones of my favorite lunch spots during the my lunch break. Ordering online is recommended during lunch break rush hour, all other times are great for walk in. Don't forget to try their Hong Kong Milk tea !

Complimentary tea is served for the table. I ordered the L2. Crispy Garlic Chicken, 102. Yin Yang Chow Mei Fun, 2. Har Gow and white rice on the side. The chicken was my absolute favorite! It was perfectly crispy and so tasty. The mei fun and har gow were wonderful. Service was spectacular and food arrived quickly. Overall, the chicken stole the show for me and I definitely will be returning to get another order of this.

I'm a big fan of Cantonese cuisine, so I was excited to try Uncle Lou's! I went on a weekend…read moreevening, and they were PACKED. There was a wait list, tons of reservations, and the whole place was hustling and bustling. The food smelled amazing, and the ambiance was lively and fun overall. We were excited to eat! We were walk-ins, so I appreciated that they were able to get us in. The hostess was running a very tight ship - very "no BS"/no nonsense ... and hey, I get it, it was crazy, but at times it erred a bit unnecessarily rude? It just left me feeling a bit off, but not the end of the world. Food-wise, we tried a lot of different things. The highlight was honestly the scallion pancakes. They were DELISH! Not too doughy, not too dry, and the vinegar dipping sauce was amazing (I know it's just the standard vinegar but dang it's so good). It was a classic really well executed. The steamed pork dumplings were also quite yummy. For our mains, we got the garlic baby bok choy, beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. The beef chow fun looked amazing and we had heard really good things about it, but unfortunately it was a little dry and lacked flavor... just sort of bland? We ended up pouring some of the vinegar sauce over it, which helped, but I was a little disappointed because it looked so good. The baby bok choy was really loaded it up with garlic chunks and was also yummy and a good portion. It was juicy and had a great texture, but my only note was that it felt like it needed just a little more seasoning or salt? Overall, though, it was good. The kung pao chicken was INTENSE. I knew it'd be spicy, but truthfully it was my first time ever trying it and it was a tad difficult to eat without rice. The chicken thighs had a texture that felt a little gummy to me? I wished the chicken had been a bit more browned too. The peanuts and veggies rocked, but the sauce and chicken were huge misses for us. I typically would never send anything back, but my friend insisted as it was tough to enjoy. They did take our dish from the table... but then a manager brought it back and was a bit condescending towards us saying they didn't do that and everyone knows it's a spicy dish... which, I'm trying to be fair about because he didn't know it was my first time, but it just again felt unnecessarily rude. I hate wasting food, so we kept it and took it home rather than let it go to waste. I just thought the whole interaction was a little strange. Truly - I wasn't really looking to get something for free. We just didn't enjoy the dish and were trying to figure out what our options were and it basically felt like he just came over to make us feel small instead of problem solving together. Weird. I'm always one for second chances so I'm hoping to try it again, but I would highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a calmer experience.

We had to wait for about 10 minutes and got our table for two upstairs. My wife was craving the lobster sticky rice so that's what we came for. We added the rice roll casserole and the mushroom with pea shoot leaves. The food took a few minutes to get to us but was overall ok. Nothing mind blowing but it scratched the itch. The service, however, sucked. They gave us another table's congee which we informed them we didn't order. And after our food arrived, we never saw the waitstaff again, until our check. I couldn't even get a refill on my water. And when the manager gave me my check she pressured me to give them the tips in cash and not charge it. I said fine but truthfully I tipped them more than they deserved.
