I don't give 5's often, but this place definitely hit the spot. Amazing she crab soup with hearty chunks of crab, the ribeye was cut with a butter knife, spicy cream corn was delicious, and the peanut butter custard pie was also tasty. The shrimp scampi flat bread was not the best; it could be better with a sauce. Though, we did get a glimpse of the surf and turf, and I would definitely order that next time. Nice job, Columbus! read more

Saltcellar - She Crab Soup - Seafood Near Me - Columbus, Georgia

I cant wait to take my wife back to saltcellar! The food was unmatched and our waitress was a professional and knew the entire menu and ingredients off the top of her head! It was unreal. The energy was on point throughout the restaurant also. You have to get the fruity pebble cheesecake as well ! Highly recommend ! read more

Actually I rarely give five stars but the food was phenomenal. My hubby had the fillet and salmon. I had the grouper. Everything was absolutely delicious. Lacey was an excellent waitress snd checked on us often. First time here and I highly recommend it. read more

Excellent place to eat. We showed up without a reservation and had to sit at the bar. Wife ordered the Seafood plate. It came with 2 large shrimp, 2 large scallops, a lobster tail. She chose the fried grits and brussel spouts as sides. I had the Fillet. Food came in a timely manner and all was really good. We also had crab cake for app. I'd go back. read more

SO GOOD! I often try to find local spots when traveling and eating out. My husband and I found this spot and it was perfect. We sat outside and the patio area is so pretty with lots of plants and flowers. The food was amazing. We had the lamb meatballs and I highly recommend. He ordered the steak and I had salmon. Both dishes were amazing! We will definitely return next time we are in town! read more

Saltcellar - Seafood Near Me - Columbus, Georgia

Food is always right in point! For an appetizer, I would suggest the onion rings! For the entree, I would recommend the grilled shrimp. After all of that, you cannot miss out on the dessert! The strawberry cake, chocolate cake, and the Oreo cake are my favorites! The employees are always the nicest! Don't listen to any of these other reviews because all of those people are are just negative and picky. Saltcellar is also a great place for date nights, family gatherings, and business gatherings. read more

Another great dinner at SaltCellar last night. My wife and I both enjoyed the grilled grouper, and it was exceptional. The sides were also tasty, including the mango salsa. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Only downside was that we did not try a dessert but they looked fantastic. SaltCellar is now clearly among the top three restaurants in Columbus, and we will return often. read more

Apps were good, but steak was dry and over cooked. My husband also had food poisoning following our meal.

Nice ambiance inside and out, outdoor seating in a beautiful lit alley or courtyard area available, clean establishment, great menu and fresh desserts. Highly suggest reservations for weekend evenings! Service was decent, we expected better and this is why we actually cut our meal short. Appetizers worth mentioning were The Lamb Meatballs and the Chicken Flat Bread. We ordered a burger to go because of the service! We were very pleased with the quality of food and portion sizes. Menu is in the medium price range, well worth the buck! read more

Reviews persuaded us to try it and, wow, what a treat! I had bacon wrapped scallops and my partner had skewered shrimp. The folks in the kitchen know what they are doing. Our server was attentive. If you are in Columbus GA, then you need to eat at Saltcellar! read more

Wonderful restaurant. We went here for a small family celebration. Server was attentive and food delicious. Desserts come from an outside bakery snd they were amazing. read more

I was quite disappointed in Saltcellar. I'll start by saying that the food was good and that it really could be great. It absolutely was not great during my visit. The service was horrendous. We waited 30 minutes to get our drinks. Our appetizer never arrived. We never got bread and had to ask. The tables around us had good service while we were ignored. When the manager came by I complained but it still took 20 minutes for the missing appetizer to arrive. Then she brought the bill with the full price charged. I asked for and received a significant discount but I do not believe that the staff understood how bad the experience was for me and my family. As a higher end restaurant they cannot accept the level of service we received. Exceptionally disappointed is all I can say for my experience. read more

Super impressed with this addition to our community. Their fish is cooked to ridiculous perfection as are the sides. While I've only ordered fish (several different kinds over the times we've been there), others I've dined with have had other items on the menu and been equally impressed. It is really difficult for me to eat at the other restaurants owned by the same people in town as there is little on the menus for people with gluten allergies. But Saltcellar has stepped it up and has lots of great gluten free options- which is really appreciated! read more

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and finally decided to eat at the salt cellar. My wife had the lamb meatballs which were excellent and we loved the sauce. Only small issue was the rice might've been a bit under done but other than that the flavors were fabulous. I had the grouper with the Argentinian sauce and it was absolutely the best I have ever had! Cooked to perfection. Fabulous with asparagus and brussels sprouts. Would definitely recommend this place and will look forward to coming again every time I'm in town read more

I would recommend making a reservation. Ambience is beautiful, modern and calm. Food was divine. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I would expect higher prices than what we paid, for what the chef sends out! The server took a bit too long for my liking to greet us and take the drink orders however after that he was right on point. We truly enjoyed it and are looking forward to go back! read more

Don't know where to start. We arrived just before tour reservation. We were taken to our table. We had a server's taken care of us. The service was great attention to detail was there. Two of us had a salad it was very good and played very well. The food order was placed and came out in a respectable time all four meals were very well plated. The food was fantastic. This is where things went south. At the end of the meal we wanted our left overs box up for home. The server pick up the plate that we wanted to take home. She dropped a knife on the floor, pick the knife up and put it on the food we wanted to take home. I followed her into the kitchen she was boxing the food up that had the knife from the floor. All said and done I will go again just no leftovers for home. read more

My bf and I came here for his birthday dinner. To say the least, we were not disappointed. The environment and decor were lovely and the waiters were helpful and polite. I loved the variety of food options and the different sides. I got a delicious salmon with Brussels sprouts and we ordered an appetizer of the grilled cheese pastries and wow they were soo good! It would probably be dangerous for me if I could buy them at a store, they're that good. And of course we ordered a dessert of a citrus-like cheesecake and we both haven't heard of it before but wanted to try it out. Let's just say it lasted a solid few minutes before the plate was empty! Very delicious, i would definitely go back! read more

Great food and awesome service. Christian the waitress was awesome. Sold us on the trio appetizer so good..

Great place. First visit this past weekend and it will not be our last. Great service delicious food and wonderful vibe. Columbus is fortunate to have this restaurant in our vibrant downtown area. read more

Really creative and delicious traditional American food , highly recommended and def a $$$ restaurant. Cheesecakes there are home made and to die for BUT they are $10 per slice lol read more

Delicious seafood and cocktails. Had the salmon with chermoula sauce and it was perfectly prepared and balanced. Fresh popovers served the meal were a flaky, tasty surprise. Service was attentive and helpful read more

This was by far the best meal we've had in Columbus. From the Apps to the dessert, we were impressed. The Scallops over au-gratin potatoes topped with seaweed salad and a coconut curry sauce were perfect. Fresh fish and seafood pasta for the two of us and they didn't disappoint. The food more than made up for the semi lost hostess who actually became nicer as the evening progressed. And the tiny two top they squeezed into by the kitchen entrance was not comfortable. But like I said, the food more than made up for it. read more

The halibut is amazing. The organic chicken, however was pretty rough. My wife and I both got sinful potatoes the side which were seasoned well, but undercooked-I couldn't enjoy them. I also got green beans which were good, but nothing special. It was a busy night, so maybe they took the potatoes off to quickly. Service was pretty good. Last, the bar struggles a little if you request a drink not on the menu; so, stick with the menu, I guess. I'll definitely go back, but the halibut is the only reason. read more

I had the grouper with Andouille sausage and tomato sauce, green Ben's and grilled asparagus. It was very good. The beer selection was not extensive but had the basics. The wait was 25 minutes but we sat at the bar and ate. Service at the bar was a little slow but the restaurant was fairly full to pre-covid standards. I've noticed the higher end places don't seem to have as many problems getting servers. The dining area was clean and looked very trendy. Also had outside seating which was full too. read more

Fresh, new restaurant with a side patio. Servers wore masks. Busy, need a reservation. Food was good, both got the Scottish Salmon. My husband got sides of cream corn and fried grits with the Argentinian sauce and I got the Bourbon glaze and Brussels sprouts and asparagus. We shared a huge piece of coconut cake. Everything was delicious. read more

Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! Best restaurant in Columbus so far. We definitely will come back.

Place is awesome! The surf and turf was amazing and cooked perfectly. Service was great. Their deserts are incredible. Be sure to make a reservation! read more

This place was excellent. I saddled up to the bar after finding it on Yelp Andi was not disappointed. Great service and even better food. I spend a lot of time on the road and this goes into my hall of fame finds while traveling. I had the smoked chilled shrimp which were great, perfectly cooked and the sauce compliments it so well. The special was a halibut with a beer sauce which was done so well it was silly. I could have kicked the plate. I don't know how many times I will come back to Columbus, but if I do, I know where I am eating. read more

Highlights of the meal were sinful potatoes, the sweet tea, the blueberry lemon cake. We both enjoyed our dishes and will be back. Service was pleasant and timely. read more

Divine dining. Our waitress, Hannah, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Started with a Manhattan that was excellent. The Red Snapper with chimichurri sauce was decadent. Had green beans and cannellini beans with potatoes on the side. Pasta with gigantic shrimp, crab, and lobster was smothered in a superb creamy sun dried tomato and paquillo pepper sauce. No room for dessert, but it all sounded delicious. Can hardly wait to go back. read more

Amazing dishes that you will wish were larger portions. the lighting and decor really makes it feel like you need a members only jacket but was very welcoming to all patrons. i wouldnt recommend walking in wearing a cutoff Dale Jr tee and sandals though. We were seated to the right next to a window(people watching is fun) but fairly close to the next table. conversation could be a possible eavesdrop without intention, though we did have some witty dialog and a smile about our choices of adult beverages. feel good vibes with a touch of class. very professional staff. was a great first date experience. read more

Ribeye steak was outstanding. Service was great. Had a group of ten and everyone was very impressed with food and service. Ambiance is very conducive to dining. I have been an instructor of food service management at a university and would have used this facility as an example of a way to treat people and to stay in business. Great job read more

The ribeye was amazing. I have had the opportunity to eat at great steak places across the US. Until now the finely aged steaks at Gibsons in Chicago held as number one. Until today, an amazingly cooked medium rare with flavors that accented and didn't overbear the flavor. My new number 1! read more

Delicious food, EVERYTIME! The specials sound and are so good I have rarely ordered from the menu. We especially love the fun and friendly bar service. read more

I've been to Saltcellar twice. Both visits were memorable. The halibut was delicious and on the second occasion I had a small plate, crab cake on a bed of spicy creamed corn- divine! The wine list is nice and there are many choices for custom cocktails. Ambience is lovely, make sure you visit the courtyard out back. read more

I wish I could rate this place higher because the service and atmosphere were great. Most of the food my wife and I ordered was great as well...must try the lobster spring rolls! I had the seafood stew which was spectacular, however, my wife ordered the filet and lobster which was highly disappointing. The first steak that came out was almost medium well (she ordered medium rare). Also, I am not a steak connoisseur but I prefer a filet to be pan seared and not chargrilled...either the high heat caused the filet to be very grainy and lightly chewy or it was just a very poor quality cut..normally a good filet doesn't even need a steak knife while this one did and it felt more like cutting through a sirloin than filet. The lobster was decent and the sides were great but you hate to pay that much for a steak where you would expect high quality. Definitely stick to the seafood because they seem to do it right! read more

Great seafood option in uptown Columbus. They have fish tacos that are amazing and unique options that never disappoint.

Hi. I personally love this place because of the nice care and calmness, the food was Fabulous and the Limonello cake was amazing

Top of the list on restaurants in Columbus in my opinion. The food was fabulous and our waiter, Wes, was spot on.

Very nice higher end restaurant. Great food and atmosphere but prices are too high in my opinion.
