We had a really nice birthday lunch here. We took my mom here since she was wanting burgers and we were in the area for the day. Each of us got the cheeseburger and I got mine with bacon, aged white cheddar, and GF bread. It's nice that they have a lot of bread options to substitute the menu. I did order my burger medium rare but it came out well done. Honestly, I didn't mind since it didn't taste dry and had an interesting smoky flavor. The shoestring fries were incredible and crispy. The waitress even surprised us with a flourless cake with chocolate ice cream to celebrate, and it was delicious. Overall such a great time.

Anniversary dinner at Salt Creek was very good Started with pomegranate martini and blackberry smash, both very tasty. Then seafood chowder and Salt Creek house salad, both very good! Chowder's broth was very sophisticated and extremely well developed with lots of chunks of fish. I couldn't even tell you exactly what type of seafood was in there, but it was good! We both ordered 7oz filet for entree. My wife ordered hers medium and was cooked perfectly. Mine, however, was ordered medium well, but came very well done unfortunately, making it not as enjoyable as it should have been. My filet was about half the size as my wife's, which also annoyed me. Given the price per entree, I expected better. For dessert, we split the butter cake, which was great and well presented. Great atmosphere for an anniversary dinner. Service was only average considering such a nice, fancy environment imo..

The service was great. My spicy shrimp app was delicious! I did not enjoy the ginger salmon dinner served with rice and asparagus. To me, it was flavorless. I also ordered a Spicy Paloma and their blackberry cocktail. It tasted like pure alcohol. The drinks were strong! Bathrooms were clean, plenty of parking.

The vomit looking steak should say enough how is that considered a steak sauce overcooked not good just completely wrong. Great service though food was just embarrassing.

This place is a staple. Such a cozy and warm feeling inside. Gets crowded for happy hour. It is on the pricy side but nice for an occasion. So many wonderful menu items to choose from. Cannot go wrong with any of their appetizers.

If I could I would give it 3.5 stars but the service is what made me round up instead of down. You walk into a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful ambiance. I've been here before for an event, but this is the first time I've come for a full dinner. The variety that they offer in food is good for people of all pallets, however that means there won't be multiple version of one protein. The service was excellent and was the best part of the experience. Even the manager stopped by to talk to us after our appetizer which I loved. DRINKS All the drinks were absolutely delicious. Tajín margarita Moscow Mule Spiced red wine APPETIZERS Brussel sprouts- they were a little better then okay but a little too soggy for my liking. Salt and vinegar potato chips- delicious and addicting. Warm sourdough loaf - to die for. ENTREE- Nothing really stood out as something we would need to come back for even if it was good. Nothing special. All the sushi rolls were good and filling. Unfortunately don't remember the names of them. Salt creek house salad- was okay it needed something else in it. Ribs- were delicious. Fries- one of the worst I've ever had. Soggy skinny and unappetizing. The special of barramundi was dry. The steak was pretty good. The salmon was pretty good as well. Dessert- 2 Butter Cakes - was disappointed. I've had the butter cake before here just a sample for an event and there was options for a Caramel or strawberry last time and for the dessert on the menu there was no option and the strawberry wasn't as good and the cake wasn't even hot.

I came In for Happy Hour and to watch a baseball game and was greeted quickly at my seat at the bar. There were happy hour menus everywhere and there was an interesting mix of American and sushi options as well as half priced drafts and wine. I ordered strictly off the happy hour menu and was thrilled with the salmon nigiri, seaweed salad, and sushi roll I ordered. The bartender was attentive and kind and repeatedly checked in with me. The bar area was a tad loud with high ceilings, but not so loud I couldn't talk on the phone or listen to the game on my AirPods. Highly recommend a good meal at this place.

We like coming here because it seems to just about everything, including Sushi. There's always some interesting entrées and salads. A little pricey, but decent.

What a great family dinner we had this past Saturday evening. Alyssa P was our server and she did a great job and was very personable with great recommendations. I haven't been to this location in a few years and it didn't disappoint. We usually go to the Rumson location as it's closer to home. Drinks and appetizers were very tasty. Brussels sprouts & Burrata salad were very good and everyone enjoyed them. 3 of us ordered the Parmesan- Crusted Filet and there were 3 clean plates ! I ordered the slow roasted half-chicken and it was very tasty and a nice sized portion. Dessert was also yummy as we celebrated a birthday with Flourless chocolate Cake & Butter Cake. I didn't try it but seems like the butter cake got high reviews!! Heather helped us redeem our gift certificate and she was so super helpful. I'm so excited for the upcoming Holiday Gift certificate deal that's coming up again around Black Friday. You buy $100 of gift cards and you get one free. Yes, $100 free. It's an amazing deal and I'm looking forward to visiting Salt Creek Grill again very soon. It's a beautiful restaurant and in a great location. Amazing vibe inside too. We will be back!

It has been about 3 years since I've been to Salt Creek Grille. However, I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. I recently came for Happy Hour, but I've had dinner here a handful of times also. The Happy Hour runs from 4:00 - 6:00. All wines by the glass and draft beer are 1/2 price. There is a happy hour food menu, but other establishments offer better happy hour food deals. We ordered the Edamame, Spicy Tuna Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. I didn't find the prices to be anything specials, but the food was fine. It was hard at times to get the attention of our bartender, since the bar was packed. The main draw of Salt Creek Grill is the great vibe and energy. From the long wooden communal center table, to the high ceilings, to the outdoor patios and fireplaces, it's a great place to hang out all year round. It's always been a fun spot to meet up with friends after work or the occasional evening dinner.

I had the Apple Butter & Sage Pork Chop with a glass of pino nior for a solo dinner. Great service, nice ambiance and amazing food. Needless to say best pork chop of my life! The pomegranate martini is very refreshing- highly recommend! The Coffee-Encrusted New York Strip is also a great option if you are not into pork. The coffee-encrust taste was perfect

Happy Friyay Adventurers! I was able to attend an event here so grabbing dinner afterwards was the smart thing to do, because WOW! The food was so good, I wanted to order at least 3 other dishes, but was pretty stuffed between the 3 items I already ordered. First off, the ambiance of this place it gorgeous, especially for a date night. There's plenty of seating which included community table style seating however, it is recommend to get a reservation on the busier evenings. I can see a lot after work corporate meetups happening here. Secondly, the variety of foods on the menu runs from steaks, pastas, seafood, to sushi items. So you get a bit of everything while being able to do a tapas style eating. I ordered the spicy Calabrian shrimp which it def packed a kick, I loved it! Ended up taking half home and made lunch the next with pasta. I love a harvest style salad, so I ordered they house salad because the candied walnuts complimented the vinaigrette so well. I also ordered the fresh burrata because yah girl LOVES crostini and cheese. Man it's very much what I make at home and I was in love. The even had garlic confit to smear on the crostini toast. My most exciting moment was ordering a martini. I've been trying to get into my dirty martini era but haven't *quite* made it yet. The French pear Martini is perfect for the fall seasons--not too sweat or alcoholy. Hopefully next time I can try other dishes and drinks. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out.

Was asked for a reservation as soon as we came in on a Saturday evening. They gladly accepted without one though, there were ample seats anyway so we didn't have to wait. A little formal ambiance but of course, they accept anyone wearing casual! Our server was really nice and he comes not so very often but every time we needed him! Perfect timing and never asks while we're chewing our food! LOL! Food were all great! Mac and cheese, not so worth it just becausenof the serving. The kid's baby back rib's like an adult serving for me! The sourdough loaf is not pull-apart, kind hard to pull apart actually but was good so yeah, we liked it. Nice event place for birthdays and special gatherings too. Walking distance from Westin and mall area with ample parking.

Seafood shack in the middle of Princeton, NJ?…read more Nassau Street Produce and Seafood produces good seafood entrees with great value. They also sell uncooked seafood here and a limited selection of fresh produce as well but my visits focus on the box lunches and entrees. At the prices quoted, the entrees are well worth it. The salmon platter has been my favorite so far with a great grilled flavor accompanied with standard fries. The salmon filet, whether stand-alone platter or between a bun, has perfectly cooked grilled lines, with a moist bite that speaks to the expertise of the griller knowing exactly when to take the filet off the heat. For box lunches, the fish and chips platter is a mammoth sized filet that would be best eaten quickly to savor any crunch that is left over from steaming in the cardboard box. It would be hard to say your hunger would not be satisfied with this meal. The fried clams was really on the small side without the belly and was mostly breading to be honest. They were however perfectly crunchy and not greasy. If there is one knock on the food it would have to be the fries, which could be the worse fries I've ever had. Definitely up charge for the onion rings which are supposedly homemade and far superior. They shutdown operations rather early in the evening so this isn't a evening meal destination. I often find myself taking my food to a nearby Princeton park table/bench to enjoy on a nice sunny day/early evening. The seafood has always been reliably fresh, and for that, I give credit. However, the level of customer service has seriously declined. It's disappointing because in today's world--where good service is increasingly rare--it should be easy to stand out by simply treating people with basic respect. Unfortunately, the staff, many of whom I recognize from past visits, have become noticeably rude and unprofessional. There's no excuse for this kind of behavior. I'd rather take my business elsewhere--there are other seafood markets in places like Clinton and Flemington that value their customers. Sometimes businesses reach a point where it's time to reassess: either improve the team or consider moving on. Quality 4 out of five customer service negative.

Our waiter was very pleasant and brought our food out quickly but the food is the issue here. My wife ordered the Country Omelette with grits as the side versus potatoes and I ordered the South Caroline Grits. My wife's omelette was completely overcooked to the point it was crunchy and her grits, although she added cheese, were bland and tasteless. Salt, pepper and butter couldn't help them. To call my grit meal South Carolina is an insult to that state. Having live in South Carolina for many years and to serve these lackluster grits is an abomination to grits and the cook would have been lynched in the south. I've had better instant grits. Here's why: the grits were bland, tasteless and runny as can be but somehow there were small bits of grits throughout that were crunchy. Salt and pepper barely added anything to them. With the grit meal it was topped with ham, sausage and 2 eggs which I swear the menu said "two sunny side up eggs!" When brought out, the eggs were scrambled hard and there was no sausage. Upon sending back, I questioned about the egg which the waiter replied that the menu said "eggs to order", no argument, but if that's the case, he should have asked me how I wanted them. There was sausage on my plate when returned but it was a fat link which was not cut up to match the ham. I had to cut it which was difficult due to the plate being a bowl and kept tilting while I tried to cut it with a dull knife. The ham and the sausage had barely any taste or flavor. We ate our meal, paid and left deciding this was our last visit here. Although the restaurant has changed hands over the past several years, the interior design has stayed the same as a homage to the 50's. I thinks the dust on everything may be from that era also. Pieces of mounding around the room are hanging down and strip lighting around the ceiling border flashed intermittently blue which was odd and annoying because it would catch the corner of your eye and distract you. If you like bland, tasteless mushy or overcooked food then this is the place for you but if you want better, stay away and look elsewhere. Could have gotten a better breakfast at Wawa or even Taco Bell up the road.

Collectively, we ordered calamari- bland, arancini-delicious, crispy eggplant-bland and dry. I ordered the crab agnolotti which was just, well.... bland. My mom's salmon seemed to be cooked well, we asked for medium and that's what she got. The tiramisu was good, and I am not generally a fan. The mocktail that ordered-basil gimlet was a nice balance of sweet and sour. Overall, really giving it a 3.5 but based upon comparison to my other 4 star ratings, I had to bring it down a bit.
