We were a little hesitant based off of reviews and it being a new location, but it blew us away! We had questions around wine and they brought out their Som. Our server was extremely attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel very special. We ordered appetizers, oysters, entrées, and dessert and everything that we tried I feel like was completely opposite of what we saw for reviews. I love going to Mt. Dora for the sweet little town vibe and I'm so glad this spot is down there! It will be our go to spot when we want to fancy up our evening! I can't say enough amazing things! Can't wait to go back!

Great tasting meal but the service was very slow. We went in for the first time on a Thursday for an early dinner during the Mt Dora Restaurant week. We had reservations for 5:15 pm. We arrived about 5:10 and were seated right away. I got the half dozen oysters for my appetizer, Steak Frites for main course and Chocolate Cake for dessert. My Partner got the Tuna Tataki appetizer, Miso Glazed Salmon for main course, and Key Lime Cheesecake for desert. The food was delicious but the service was very slow. The atmosphere is done in black and light wood tones.

For reference, I measure this experience against other "fine dining" experiences. To be fair, there was no food left on any of our plates. As to quality vs value, I would say it's on the low to mid end of value. We paid $8 for an order of 4 half slices of sourdough bread. Thats enough to drop 2 stars alone. Since we had 2 orders. Yes, it was good. Was it worth $16 for bread? No. I ate the chicken and enjoyed it. The flavor was delicious, and it was well presented. The ambiance- better than some. The bar is beautiful. There are some decor choices that are odd, and mildly distracting. We will go back for a second round.

New place in Mount Dora and I absolutely loved it. I went for happy hour and I love how they had all of the menus and prices advertise online outside on a printed menu and as soon as you walked in the place had a decent crowds and we spoke with a few people that had visited several times. I had the caviar bite, which was absolutely delicious. Think of a small hash brown, like the size you get from Chick-fil-A or Dunkin' Donuts, chopped with caviar scallions and a little bit of pickled onion. It was phenomenal and a great happy hour pallet, clean cleanser. The burger and fries were great as well. We also had the cheese platter which wasn't anything phenomenal, but it was good to munch on while we had some drinks. The signature tequila espresso martini was delicious not on happy hour but still worth the price and the old-fashioned was delightful. Great decor lots of seating, clean bathrooms. I would definitely come here again and I plan to come often they even have outside seating if you want that vibe

Our charred octopus appetizer did not disappoint & my tuna was perfect! Service was very good & our server was sweet! Only downside was the seating, very crowded, and the room had no air :( . We were literally sitting on top of each other

Came here on day one ( right after they opened the doors ) and everything was perfect for such a new restaurant . Service (Elizabeth) was spot on , food was amazing ( you get what you pay for) and ambience was really top notch and well done . We are locals ( we have been back 2times for happy hour already ). Very well done and and nicely executed for such a new restaurant. We will be back .

Even on a busy Friday evening, I was able to snag a cozy round table in the back for my friend and me, which was a pleasant surprise. Bonus points for the upstairs bathrooms not requiring a code (unlike the ones downstairs)--a small but appreciated detail! I ordered an espresso martini that was dairy-free (which I love), but it ended up being a bit too sweet and slightly watery for my taste. I only took a few sips before deciding not to finish it--not bad, just not quite for me. Since I was the DD, I didn't bother swapping it out, but it was still the right call. My friend's gin cocktail, on the other hand, was light, mild, and super refreshing--she loved it! Also, shoutout to the bartender for bringing the drinks over to our table--such a nice touch. I'd absolutely come back and give another cocktail a try. The atmosphere & service alone makes it worth a return visit!

A quaint little town northwest of Orlando…read more There's shopping, some nice little restaurants, and a big ol' lake that you can rent a catboat on and drive it around. That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.
