We haven't been by in a few months and decided to grab dinner. We were in the area and were in the mood for something we hadn't had in a while. We both decided to try the rice bowls. I usually get nachos and my fiancé usually gets a burrito but it was time to change it up. The rice bowl was actually huge. There are lots of toppings you can add at no additional charge plus others for a fee such as guac. Obviously I got guac because I love it. I got the pork bowl and it was tasty. You could barely see the pork under all the veggies. I was very full after this meal. Everything was really good. The only thing they need to improve is the flavor of the Mexican rice. It's really bland and the rest of the toppings are needed to make it better. I also didn't get the sour cream or salsa I requested on my bowl. It wasn't a huge deal. Definitely was still delish! read more

My order Del Marco Quesadilla had a limited amount of chicken. The sour cream and salsa verde was not included. I was charged extra for the rice and bean when the Fajita burrito should have included it. I asked for the rice and beans to be separated but manager insisted on offer a larger portion for an extra charge. Most of the workers do not speak English. The isn't a complaint telephone. Not a good experience In Fishkill. read more

Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill - MVP Bowl - Mexican Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

I get Salsa Fresca about once every 3 months on the way home from PF in Lagrange. Food is always good. People who work there are friendly and helpful. At the end of the day, this is a fast-food place so comparing it to a Mexican restaurant that's twice as pricey isn't fair. It's like saying "Hey, I got a better burger at 21 Burgers than McDonald's." I can grab a healthy and yummy meal at Salsa Fresca for about 12 dollars. LOVE IT! read more

I have always found the restaurant to be clean and the food is always displayed in clean containers and the food is slways fresh. Chipotle cant touch you. Food areas in chipotle are always messy which makes me question the cleanliness. Sorry my experience. read more

I am consistently getting the wrong order and there is no where for me to let them know.

This is the FORTH chance we have this establishment. Against the food was soggy, cold, seemingly thrown into food containers. I can't believe I had any hope left to have a decent dinner from this place. We have tried both the Lagrange and Poughkeepsie establishments. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I've been here so many times and never had a problem , but last night I got the sam's thing I usually order. I have been throwing up since. I've never had this experience at Salsa Fresca , so I am definitely worried. I don't get sick often so the only thing I can really think of is that something in that food is contaminated and I feel absolutely awful read more

Super good! My first time and im very pleased. The portions are HUGE. Everything is fresh and the place is very clean. I had a pleasant visit, staff was very nice and I was attended super fast! Definitely try folks!!! So satisfied! read more

Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill - Chicken bowl - Mexican Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

Food was basic Mexican food definitely a downgrade from chipotle. When I went there they had no teas or lemonade made and the drink cooler was almost empty. Definitely a better way to display that when running low on drinks. Love the fact that they have boylan sodas for the fountain drinks. I stayed to eat and they gave me free chips and really bad tomato sauce/ salsa. Everyone was friendly but because of the poor meat choices they have I would rather be at chipotle. read more

Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill - a plate of food - Mexican Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

This is a growing chain, and this store is, at the moment, their farthest north. It's still fairly new at this point. The staff behind the counter isn't quite a well-oiled machine just yet, but they certainly aren't an army of chaos either. The line moved quickly, the ingredients looked and tasted fresh, and I was impressed at how well they could roll up a burrito with that much in it. A plus: Fountain drinks from Boylan Bottling, a company that uses only cane sugar in their sodas. And you could tell by the taste, that birch beer was so good. A minus: For a business that has the word SALSA in its name, the amount of salsa you get with your chips when eating in is ridiculously small, in a little plastic container that holds at most 1/4 cup. C'mon, there's other "Mexican Grill" chains (who don't even have the word SALSA in their name) who have a whole salsa bar available for your meal. I shouldn't have to scrape the insides of a plastic ramekin to get the last drop. Still, this is a nice and refreshing (or fresca) add to dining in the immediate vicinity. read more

There's a reason this Salsa Fresca is my go-to in the area! Aside from a Lagrange location, this is really the only other one in Dutchess County. Salsa Fresca has the same type of concept as Chipotle but much better in my opinion. They offer types of meals Chipotle doesn't have, like quesadillas and nachos, types of meat Chipotle doesn't have, like BBQ Beef, and a commitment to sustainability that Chipotle doesn't have! Portions are always big and there are many many toppings to choose from. Can't say I've ever had a bad meal here, and the $6 Student Special is awesome! Just $6 for ANY menu item! The Big Plus: Salsa Fresca gives you FREE CHIPS & SALSA with every order while still being cheaper than Chipotle. I really wish I could describe Salsa Fresca without mentioning Chipotle, but since they're clearly the superior version of Chipotle in every way, I have to! My only complaint: no pinto beans. I'd become used to them at Chipotle and miss the option for a second bean, but that's a minor complaint. Be sure to check out Salsa Fresca the next time you're near Marist College/CIA/Hyde Park! read more

I ordered for my wife and I through Uber eats. The delivery went well the food quality not so much the chips were crispy but have a bitter aftertaste like rancid oil. And something was off in the bowl and tacos we had the tomatos were weird mushy and tangy like they might be fermenting. Oh well. One bad meal Portions were generous although chicken in my wife bowl was had to identify such a small amount read more

We were in town for a tournament and they welcomed our party of 35 with open arms, other restaurants didn't want to be bothered but the owner was accommodating, kind and attentive. We all enjoyed a great Mexican meal and good company! Thank you for having us! read more

Had a mostly great experience here. They have great choices, but a simple menu. Nice value for what you get. The manager on duty was fantastic - we needed a veggie burrito and they were out of the peppers/onions mixture they use, so he cooked up a batch fresh for us. Then they STUFFED the burrito so full we didn't think he'd be able to properly wrap it - but we were amazed that he did! We also ordered a side of beans which were very flavorful. The cashier and some of the other staff seemed very distracted and apathetic- but that manager - he was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh and it was very filling! We actually shared the burrito and it was plenty. Free chips and salsa come with the meal. Chips were good, the salsa is a bit too 'tomato-y' for me, but that's personal preference. We will definitely be back! read more

I would honestly give them zero stars if I could. I've been there a few times because it's the closest burrito place. Horrible every time ive been there. They've repeatedly given away my food or not had it ready for the time ive ordered it. Customer service is terrible. I've worked food service for years and don't understand how you can mess up someone's food so many times. Avoid this place if you can. read more

My friend and I came a half hour before closing. Staff was polite and were not moody despite us showing up so close to the time they close, actually the place was pretty full. Food was hot, and fresh and actually had flavor. Compared to chipotle...chipotle is trash . Also, this location is 100% better then the LaGrangeville location. read more

We went to their soft opening on 1/12/19, and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy, and owners and staff we very pleasant. The staff was willing to tell us exactly what was in each choice, and they made our selection as requested. Food was hot, flavorful, and delicious. Servings were large and filling. Nice soda choices that are made with real cane sugars, not corn syrup. This is a nice change from most fast food restaurants. We were very happy with everything, and plan on returning. Nice addition to the dining choices in our area. read more

Came here on day during a break from class for some lunch after hearing a new Mexican place had opened. I've since returned twice and have not been disappointed yet. Very fresh and tasty food and nice size portions. Definitely beats chipotle in quality, taste, and service. This last time I had the barbacoa nachos. Sooo good, and even my mom was impressed with her carnitas quesadilla. We like that you can customize your dish however you like! Will definitely be returning read more

It's definitely a classier version of Tacobell but the Walmart version of Chipotle. Most of the time, anything you order is going to taste the same, no matter what you get on it. This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that I would not get queso from because it's thick and clumpy enough to break any chip you try to dip into it. It's not so much the staff's fault because I think it's just the way the queso is, but 3 out of the 8 times I went there, staff was scraping all of the hard pieces off the bottom to put in my cup. Overall, staff is pretty organized and fast. Not entirely friendly, but hey, it's fast food, they can't exactly stop and talk to everyone. read more

Food is ok, not too bad. My biggest problem is that I generally order off Uber eats as I'm not that close and don't have a car, and they are unavailable to order from the majority of the time. It's not an Uber problem, the staff is just not signing on. For the price of the food, I would expect to have less mistakes on my orders as well. Everytime I've ordered, they have forgotten something. read more

Food is great, but it's as if you have to initiate your own order because the one lady (short, Hispanic woman) just stared at me until I asked if it was alright to order. Cmon sis. read more

So disappointed, ordered one burrito with queso and avocados , which I paid extra for and specifically requested no salsa as I have acid reflux. And my one burrito did not meet any of those requests. I called the restaurant to discuss my issue , because I clearly cannot eat this now because all the salsa is causing my throat to burn and the man tells me he made it himself and doesn't know what he can do about it. I paid $17 for this burrito because of everything I added and it is going in the garbage. Salsa Fresca said they couldn't replace it with what I actually ordered, but oh they could give me the number to management to discuss a burrito....If I could give 0 stars I would for such terrible customer service. read more

The food is delicious, and they are environmentally friendly, which means a lot to me. Definitely recommend!

Best place in my opinion. I would come here every day if I wanted to,I love the food very much.

Walked in at 8:30pm and was told the store was closed. Says open 11-9 everyday. Apparently that's a lie.

Food was tasteless and mediocre. Chips were burnt and salty. Every item on showcase was low on product, which made the food cold and nasty. Will never spend my money here again!! Hope they close down. read more

Amazing fresh ingredients, amazing service with a smile, amazing food. 10/10 reccomend. And will definitely be returning with my friends

I got like 3 times a week, always great customer service. Food is excellent!! The nachos were spectacular!

Came here during their student lunch deal. (Mon-fri 2-4 pm) Which is usually the busiest time of the day because each meal is $5. I don't know how this got a four a half star rating ? Place is dirty, disgusting. Workers don't acknowledge that your presence is there. Glass that you look through for the food is covered in food debris. Very unfriendly, food was cold and wet leaked all over.
