HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS SALON. VERBALLY ATTACKED!
VERBALLY ATTACKED BY James Mucker AND TRIED TO PHYSICALLY INTIMIDATE ME at the salon, November 25, when I requested my daughter's money back for a very poor haircut.
My daughter, who is 16, went to James M to have her haircut. When she came home, she was very disappointed, as she had shown him a picture of what she wanted, and she said,"he glanced at the picture and then never looked again." I decided to ask my hairdresser there, Jim S, to recommend someone that would give a more refined cut. He suggested Ed. He was very good, and we were very pleased with the cut, although it was quite expensive. Her hair grew out very well, so I told her to return to James, as he was less expensive, and she only needed a trim. I warned her before she went to be very specific that she only wanted a trim. After the haricut, she text me and said,"I will never go to him again". I called her and she said that he had cut her hair so short, it was close to being shave. She was very upset. I came home to find that my daughter hair had been cut so close, there were bald areas, and he had slathered product on her hair to hold it down! He had also cut a ridge in her hair so that longer hair would fall over it, imitating volume. I asked her what happened, and she said that she had told him to only trim and again showed him a picture of the cut she was hoping to get. He again just dismissed it, and did whatever he wanted to. Then he charged her $75.00! The haircut was awful. It was not fixable, as he had cut it way too short! I facebooked him and told him that I couldn't believe that he could have again, made her hair such a mess, especially since he had a shape already from Eds cut. I told him that my expectation is that she get her money back, and that he took advantage of a teenager. He claimed that she "loved her haircut", and she just didn't know how to style it. Wrong! She didn't even tip him, and my daughter is very respectful and would not have said anything to offend him. I called the owner, David Leon, and told him what had happened and told him that I expected my daughter's money back and that she would not return to the salon. I told them both that I had pictures of my daughters hair, and I do not just complain for nothing.
When I arrived, David Leon told me that he would go get James, and I told him that was not necessary, as I did not need to talk to him, I had already explained everything that I needed to. He went to James to find out the cost of the haircut, and when he returned, James was following him. The lady at the desk returned my daughter's money and James Mucker stood and stared at me, trying to intimidate me. After receiving the money, I looked at him, and told him that he shouldn't have taken advantage of her, and it was not a good haircut. He had a woman beside him, that had a cape on that he was doing her hair at the time. He then proceeded screaming at me,saying,"You Stupid M.......Fu.......ing bitch! Get out!" He then told me that the only reason that I didn't like it was because my daughters hair was short. That alone is rediculous, because she has had her hair short for 2 years, and I also have short hair. He then lunged at me in a manacing manner as if he was going to do physcial harm to me, still screaming at me to "get out"..The lady with the cape grabbed him to keep him from physically attacking me, as the owner tried to also. I went to leave the shop and he followed me outside, again, VERBALLY ATTACKING ME and the lady in the cape and David Leon, trying to hold him back from physically hurting me.
I then told David Leon that I would make sure that everyone knows about this behavior. I then went to my car, understandably fearful, got in my car and locked all my doors, due to the violent behavior of James Mucker. I am so grateful that my daughter did not voice her opinion of the haircut, or what would have happened to her, a child?
I should have called the police on this man, and am considering taking out a restraining order on him, David Leon should be ashamed at the way that his hairdresser behaved, and should have taken steps to keep me as a patron, such as an apology, it seems that his concern is the money that James Mucker brings into the salon, rather then the safety and concern for the clientele. My hairdresser, Jim, is absolutely wonderful in his talent and demeanor. and I am sorry that this incident prevents me from going back to him. read more
