Super dishonest & unprofessional behavior from the manager, Bre. I'm more unhappy about the way she handled the problem than I am about the stylist messing up. I would post a picture of the damage but unsurprisingly they've disabled that option for reviews. I recently came in and had a hairstylist "forget" to put barrier cream on my skin before applying permanent black dye to my hair. Not sure how that happens as it is such a basic yet important step. Well she ended up getting a crazy amount of dye all over my forehead. I asked her to please wipe it off because I don't wear foundation and can't just cover it up. Throughout the appointment she is wiping and wiping and irritating my skin & it was just not coming off. I was being a really good sport about it but inside I was getting really stressed out. Come time to pay, i wanted to ask to "talk to the manager" but i honestly just didn't want to be "that person" when I ABSOLUTELY should've made a fuss. The manager, Bre, could see the problem but obviously wasn't going to address it so I asked her hey umm, how long is this going to stay stained like this? She said it would be gone in the morning and starts giving me little "tips and tricks" to make it go away instead of apologizing and acknowledging that it should've never happened in the first place. I definitely should've received a discount or something, or AT LEAST an apology. Instead I paid full price, left a generous tip, and left feeling gaslit. As soon as I got home and looked in the mirror I could see the extent of the damage - that lady obviously knew she lying to my face when she said it'd gone by the morning. I called back frustrated the next day during the afternoon stating that it hasn't faded at all and that I have to go into work like this. I asked for a refund even if just a partial because this is unacceptable. Bre then doubles down giving me ideas on how to remove this and I said I shouldn't have to be dealing with this in the first place. She explains that she did have a talk with the stylist after I left about remembering to use barrier cream - meaning, SHE DID SEE THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE, SHE JUST CHOSE TO NOT TO ADDRESS IT OR MAKE IT RIGHT WITH ME. She had the chance to make it right and she chose not to. She told me that next time I come in they'll remember to use barrier cream.. as if I would ever trust this place to do my hair this place again. It is now 3 days later and I still have traces of dye on my forehead. I know they're going to reply mentioning that they a $25 coupon towards next or (many hours after our phone call) to have me come in so they can try to wipe it some more but I'm not spending any more my time or money here. read more

The salon reached out to fix my hair. I was upset that they were insinuating that I only left a bad review for a refund (which I never expected or asked for), but I made the drive back down to Fort Collins to have it fixed this morning. The stylist was not as friendly this time, but the managers (Bree and Amanda) were helpful and kind. The salon is accusing me of being a "bot" and "misleading" on their Facebook page. I am embarrassed of my hair and will warn others of my experience. In response Joseph's comment above, I have not done anything to my hair except wash it with purple shampoo, which is common for blondes to do. As far as I know, purple shampoo does not cause yellow/orange roots or spotty highlights. Not sure what he means by what I did myself. Of course the photo they posted looks nicer since it was taken under a ring light. Their photo is taken from a distance and only shows the back of my head. I had a horrible experience with Angie. The final result was a disaster. The highliths turned out a very warm blonde with an orange hint instead of a neutral blonde. Also, my hair ended up very damaged. Now, I have to wait a few months until I can fix it. Although, I provided photos of the style and shade of blonde I wanted, it did not make a difference. It felt like an assembly line. One size fits all. When I complained to Bre, the salon manager, she was trying to convince me that everything is fine, beautiful and gorgeous. I have been going here for the past few years and every time I am highly impressed from making the appointment, reminders, check in and all the staff. You are warmly greeted and offered a drink and even some chocolate. And then we get to the good part..... I have had my hair done cut,colored, highlights, root touch up eg by Angie and she has done a phenomenal job. I have naturally curly hair and she has made me love my curls in ways I never thought I would with very little effort. Every time I leave I feel like a million bucks and it lasts not one of those cuts and styles that you have to be a pro to do. The price is reasonable almost too good to be true for what you get. Another client stood and stared at me in the mirror while I always getting my hair styled and they considered my behavior inappropriate when I asked him - yes, him - to leave us alone. This is a very professional salon and I feel like the prices are fair. My stylist was very sweet and experienced, however I did not have a great experience here. I was pretty excited about getting my haircut a little shorter, and after talking to my stylist and looking at some pictures I felt like we were on the same page for how short it should be cut. (Shoulder length) However, I was re clear that I wanted to still be able to put it into a ponytail because that is really important to me. It ended up getting cut much shorter than I wanted (barely to my chin) and I am now unable to get it into any hairstyles whatsoever. Amazing. I come down to Salon Salon from Cheyenne to see Angie because she is amazing. I have been coming to her for the last eight months. She's fun, sweet and is always up for trying new things. Every time I give her specifics she nails it. With my skin tone, I prefer a cooler color with ash highlights - she nailed it on the first try. This summer because of my tan and sun bleached hair my color picked up on the warm but its beautiful. She told me if I didn't like it she could correct it right then a there but as always it was perfect. Everyone is polite and the place is clean and airy. I moved here from Cali and made an appointment with Deina to get a bleach and tone for my long, blonde hair. I've had this done every 4 weeks for the last 8 years. I told her I wanted 30vol root touch up. That's it. She scoffed and told me she was going to fix the underneath, do baby lights, low lights and take off about 4 inches. I said no, I just wanted bleach and tone for my roots. She said "Um, no we're not doing that we are going to do baby lights and low lights and I'm going to fix the underneath because it looks fried and horrible." I begged her to please just use 30vol on my roots and we'd "fix" the rest later.. (I didn't feel like paying $300+ for everything else right now). She said "Ok stop talking you're wasting my time". I felt attacked but didn't know what to say. I looked in the mirror and immediately heard her start cutting.. I said "wait what are you doing?" She said she was taking off the dead ends because "it looked awful". I told her I didn't want a haircut and she rolled her eyes and said "Well I already cut it so now I have to make it even". She took almost 5 inches off and the sweet lady in the chair next to me looked at me and said "Oh no I can't believe she just did that to you!" and when I looked in the mirror I was so upset that I just got up and went to the front desk and asked to pay for just the trim and that I wouldn't be doing the bleach today. She came up to the front desk and told me that I shouldn't be bleaching my hair because it's too damaged, AND CHARGED ME $65 FOR A HAIRCUT I DIDN'T ASK FOR. I went from having long blonde hair almost down to my butt, to having hair barely past my shoulders. I literally just wanted her to fix my roots, that was it. I ended up going to Bel Ami Salon down the road, walked in there sobbing and explaining what happened. There were several employees there that had left Salon Salon due to the abusive environment there. The owner at Bel Ami was amazing, she fixed my botched haircut and is giving me a deal on the bleach and tone I wanted in the first place as well as putting in 20 inch extensions. I'm honestly considering seeking legal counsel due to my experience with Deina and now having to pay for the hair extensions. Someone that has been doing hair for 20 years should absolutely know better. What an awful, awful experience. I'm very thankful for Bel Ami for getting me in today and looking forward to getting my hair back. read more

I think I may have gotten the worst hair cut of my life here. The hairdresser was super super nice and I'd go back to her if scissors were not involved. My hair was below my boobs and I wanted it about an inch above nipple line (I showed 2 reference pictures). What I got was hair that was barley chin length. I can't even put it up in a pony tail without chunks of hair flying out in every direction. I know it's only hair and it will grow back but working in the medical field I need to be able to put my hair up and away from all the germs flying around these days. The trim I gave myself during the beginning of quarantine was better than this. :-( read more

Columba was the stylist who cut my hair and she was the sweetest most kind girl ever and really gave me a lot of my confidence back. The hair washing was so nice and luxurious, and my haircut was amazing. Columba was so patient with my odd request to trim a layer of hair near my neck that was very uneven and damaged do to hair dye and me messing with it over a long period of time. I was not ready for how expensive this was going to be. I was told $90 for highlights. Ended up paying $210. I consented to an extra $20 for a repair spray. I was not told that toner was extra. Deina trimmed possibly an 8th inch on some spots and then I find out that because that was a "mens cut" an extra $40 was added. I'm disappointed in how many extra fees they tacked on without my consent. I won't be coming back here and that makes me sad since the staff was nice. Edit: I got home and checked angles in the mirror and the back quarter of my hair wasn't even highlighted. I paid $210 dollars for an eight inch cut off my hair and highlights on only part of my hair. It also did not lighten like she said it would and now looks barely highlighted in the first place. Now I'm not one to leave a bad review unless I really think that it deserve it. First of all the stylist is not really nice she doesn't smile or talk much. Second of all she completely ruined my bangs. They came in very nice and even but left all crooked and uneven. I have a gap between my bangs. I went in to dye my hair a dark red with the salon manager Deina, she got bleach on my black pair of shoes the first visit, made me separate her foils for her, my hair ended up coming out great until.... I got an appointment for the following day. Lucky me, I was booked with Alec who is absolutely ah-MAY-zing. His calm & positive demeanor immediately put me at ease. He wasn't at all judgemental of my seriously neglected hair hell.. platinum turned brassy, at least an inch of major regrowth & shaggy, grown out bob turned mullet. I only had a vague answer when he asked what I wanted, but Alec really seemed to 'get it'. He suggested skipping my usual allover toner routine for the sake of my hairs health, and I really appreciate that he cared about my hair in the long term. Alec takes his time, and gives an amaziiing scalp massage. He made me the prettiest shade of blonde I've ever been. Like, seriously, ever. As for my cut.. Alec is genuis with a pair of scissors. He makes it look so easy. The end result was OMFG gorgeous hair that still looks great months later. Salon Salon kills it, period. I made an appointment with Blair (the owner) based on her great reviews. I love her! I have never been disappointed after leaving and she is so sweet! The prices are also very affordable in comparison to other salons I have been to. I know how hard it is to find a new hair stylist especially in a new city. I am so happy with Blair and will be a client as long as I am in Fort Collins. When I originally came in, I had an awful green tint to my light brown hair that wouldn't go away no matter how many stylists I went to. I think the tint was from me dying my hair brown (I am originally blonde) from a box dye. After one visit, the color is gone and it hasn't come back! She dyed my hair a beautiful brown with purple and red undertones, the color sounds a little crazy but it was actually so beautiful! She knew exactly what I wanted. Now I am transitioning back to blonde and she is doing a great job of helping me get there safely and affordably! My hair has never been healthier than when I started to go here. She gives great hair cuts and always has great suggestions! I would recommend this salon to anyone who asks and I already have to many friends!!!
