Beware!! This salon will nickel and dime you to death. They charge you for the products used. My daughter took advantage of a special this summer for a partial highlight and cut for $185. After being upsold on multiple services, without being told the exact the amount, (it's just a "little extra") she was shocked to be charged $295.34! read more

I have had the worst experience with studio B. One stylist put my root color all over my hair. Needless to say it was horrible, I did complain and NOTHING. So I figured it would be lightened at the next appointment. At my next appointment the stylist had no idea how to lighten my hair and seemed afraid. So she didn't process long enough then my hair was red...I dislike my hair red. The stylist didn't know what she was doing and it showed on her face and my hair. I was upset, I called AGAIN and no one called back. My daughter knew how upset i was and she found a very talented stylist and my hair is blonde and dark brown and perfect. And they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. Eventually they called back, my hair was already fixed, their solution was to call a stylist who wasn't involved and speak with her. No thanks Studio B....so interesting most stylists do not have favorable things to say about the management at StudioB. I have asked for a refund, we will see if they do anything more then call me at a very later date. read more

Haley was AMAZING! It was my first visit with her and she was so sweet and did a fabulous job on my hair. I did like that she didn't push me to buy any products, because in the past I have, for the most part, bought a product because I felt guilty. I moved up to northern Colorado last year and had my go to stylist down in the Denver area for 4 years. I went to another salon a few months into living here and didn't truly enjoy that experience as I have very thick hair and my hair needs to be thinned out well and certain stylists have left my hair choppy. I was hesitant to book via studio be salon just because a lot of their specialities and what the stylists are enthused about are coloring hair and blonding which I do not color my hair and I am not blonde. But I gave it a shot with Jacqui and she listened to my needs and knocked it out of the park! I got just about an inch or two off (for a hair trim) and got my hair thinned out and my head feels 10 times lighter now! My hairdresser was over 10 minutes late to my set appointment, while I was waiting the receptionist offered me a drink and I requested hot tea, which I never got. In the washroom, the music kept skipping making for a very unpleasant experience. My complimentary scalp massage didn't even last a full minute. My stylist didn't even style my hair as requested, I wanted beach waves, and she rushed my time by only using a blow dryer to style, even when I asked for a curling iron to be used. I've been coming to Studio B for over 13 years, and this was the worst experience I've had. The quality has plummeted and I don't know if I will be scheduling another haircut. read more

so I thought I would try a new salon as I needed a haircut. I was a walk-in and the available stylist was Callie, and she was a junior stylist, but had been working there for two years, so I thought she could perform a haircut with layers, boy was wrong. I have had one bad haircut 10 years ago and that was at a salon school and now this tops the first bad haircut I had 10 years ago I walked in with hair to my mid back, and left with hair to my shoulders with chopped up layers, long pieces, front back, and sides, as well as having a shelf in the back of my hair with no blending of any of the layers. I went back the next day to talk to Callie about my hair and she would not come out to talk to me (very poor customer service on her part). I recommend she goes back to being an apprentice to learn how to cut a proper layered style. The service staff was accommodating and understanding, and got me scheduled to see a master hairstylist to fix the terrible haircut I received. Not to mention leaving with short hair when I wanted to keep my length. I gave this review a one star for the bad hair cut I received by Callie S. The service staff and cleanliness of the salon, and Callie C., Master stylist deserves 4.5. Thank you Salon B for making it right. Just to be clear there are two Callie's, one junior and one a masters stylist. I really do hope reeducation takes place before anyone else receives a bad haircut. I will never come back here. Paid almost 400$. Got a trim , a few highlights with color melt and a deep conditioning treatment. My hair looked the exact same from when I came in to when I left. Felt like I was in a hair factory. Very scripted, forced conversation. I asked what a color melt was and the stylist couldn't even really explain it. I sat directly behind another person during the consultation part, it was a very odd set up. I was so excited to go here after seeing all the good reviews and before and after photos but it just didn't work out. They did ask at the end if I was satisfied and I said yes but for the price I won't ever go back. I've had much better outcomes at other salons for half the price. read more

As a bride-to-be I was already stressed out and disappointed I wouldn't able to get my hair done on such short notice anywhere else. Chelsea saved the day. I went in for a "subtle, natural" partial highlight just to add some "dimension" that could grow out and be low maintenance... Which is what I told my stylist and only do once per year. I have always been pleased with results in the past but this time came out with blonde streaky highlights in my brown hair. When I told my stylist it was too blonde she informed me it was because of the toner she used and it would warm up. While this may be true there is nothing natural about this color job, I had to pay for the 'brassy' toner she selected and I will most certainly have to fix it. Was hesitant to book a hair color session here as I'm not local to Fort Collins and have trust issues with my hair, especially going blonder. After reading ample reviews and scrolling IG pages, I found Kortney S and booked an appointment for a custom color to freshen up my hair after year of growth after my last balayage. I showed her pictures of my desired hair color, which was a lot lighter and icier than my starting point - and honestly, I didn't think we'd be able to get there in one session. Hours later, after many foils, treatments and toning, I walked out with exactly what I wanted: a bright blonde head of hair with lots of dimension and it still feels really healthy! I've been going to studio be for about 3 years now, so it's definitely time for me to write a review. This south location near the super target is newer than the old town location, and in general it's a lot easier for me to find a parking spot close to the storefront. I also like that sephora is a few stores down, because if I'm early I can go browse for a little while, haha. They start you off with a little service menu where you can check off what type of shampooing you would like plus any additional services (waxing for instance, but I've never gotten any of those here). They also offer you free drinks! I love sitting and waiting and getting my hair done with my glass of wine, or in my case tonight, with a bottle of Slow Ride New Belgium beer. The hair wash experience is almost like a meditative one. I just feel so relaxed that I usually end up dozing off for awhile haha. And they offer you a steam towel for your neck or face, so that's nice. Anyways, I usually go to Bri for my hair cuts and partial colors, although I have also had Courtney for one of my partial colors. They're both great, and I'm always very happy with how my hair turns out. My hair is one area where I will pay more to make sure I don't end up with something tragic, and as such, I believe my haircuts are about $45 while my partial colors (only a certain number of foils) are about $80? Somewhere in that range. It depends on the level stylist that you have, and I believe Bri is a level 4 (higher number is more experienced). They do tell you what hair products they use on you when styling, and make a suggestion that you purchase this or that, but it's your decision and it's okay to say no. On the other hand, I have purchased the awapahui treatment oil on their suggestion because I like how my hair feels and smells with it, and I'm very happy that I did so. The bottle lasted me quite awhile, and I'm on my 2nd one now. read more
