I just want to say, the hairstylists here are amazing! I've had both Meghan's and they both did an incredible job. They work with inspo photos while also shaping/styling your hair to best suit your face. I had so many pleasant conversations with both and left feeling so pleased. The studio itself is so comforting & my favorite is the dim washing room where it looks like flickering stars on the ceiling. However - I gave 4 stars & came here to warn others about Haley just so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for 10 or so years now and nothing like this has EVER happened. I do have hyper sensitive skin & always welt and turn red. However, I felt abnormally uncomfortable and felt a burning sensation after I got waxed. When I got into the car I noticed that I had either been burned or my skin had been waxed off. I also want to state that I went home and had to tweeze & trim my eyebrows as the job itself was really poor. I am traveling out of the country tomorrow and super disappointed that I have this large burn mark above my eye. read more

Adding this review because I don't see any mentioning Bre and she's AMAZING! My hair has always been fine, straight/wavy, and gets oily fast. Perms are a way I've found to add both volume and texture, and increase my times in between washes! I've been going to Bre for perms on mid-length hair and cuts in between and I've always left feeling better than I came in and in love with my hair. She does such a good job my curly-haired friends mistake mine for natural curls constantly! When the perm starts growing out, she does a great job of masking my natural texture and preventing them from weighing my hair down-a trained eye would notice and people do after I point it out, but it's usually not noticeable otherwise. She's also great chatting when I want, and today when I felt extra sleepy she let me doze in the chair and didn't mind one bit. I'll be moving to Arvada next week and specifically driving back here for Bre. PLUS I'm a graduate student and their prices have always been amazing for their service. I've had many perms and hers have by far kept my hair the healthiest and looked the best, and she's does an awesome curly shag look that I LOVE. read more

I'm honestly disappointed that I said I was ready to lose 3 inches and didn't even get an inch of trim. she spent 15 minutes cutting and 45 minutes blow drying for $80. Jacquelyn then claimed to the owner that she cut off three inches. It's a completely blunted straight edge cut with no form. My fiancé could've taken a pair of scissors and cut it like this for free. She didn't trim my layers, she trimmed only the longest layer. The treatment didn't make my hair look much shinier like I was hoping but it was the only part worth my money since it is softer. I honestly walked away disappointed and on the verge of tears. Spending $80 on a hair cut and not even getting all the damaged hairs trimmed was disappointing. She was nice though. read more

Britt is completely amazing! I found Gallipott on yelp and read her reviews and decided she was the one for me. I have severe hair trauma ever since a horrible cut from long hair to what was basically a bob about 8 years ago. In addition to that I haven't walked out of a haircut since then that I've been happy with out the door. It's always taken me time to wash and restyle my hair until I can be happy with the results of the hair job. But all that changed when I found Britt! My hair was looking really dead and I decided it was time for some balayage/blond highlights. I found a picture of a hairstyle I found on Pinterest with a base color that matched mine, and showed it to Britt (left image in the collage). She knew exactly what I wanted and what to do and she never had to look at the picture again. She asked me if I liked what she was doing every step of the way and taught me how to properly style my hair. She answered all my questions and was a pleasure to talk to! I left my appointment feeling refreshed and absolutely loving my new do. I have never been this happy out of a haircut in my life and especially not in the last 8 years. Britt is a breath of fresh air and is the most talented hairstylist I have ever known, hands down. She is humble, sweet, and unique, and you will not regret going with her! The salon itself is gorgeous and so much fun to be in. All the products are natural/organic when they can be and many are sourced from small farms in Italy. I feel so good knowing that my first bleach job isn't going to fry my hair and that I don't need to come in every four weeks to retouch my hair. The hostess is sweet and offers a variety of drinks to sip while waiting. There's a gorgeous pastoral view out the window of the dye room and the wash room is so serene I literally fell asleep while waiting for the toner to set into my hair. This place is an absolute dream and I genuinely don't think 5 stars is enough. The only thing I guess I could say is that as a college student the trip was a little pricey, but for such attention to detail and care, with such quality products, and considering that I only need a touch up every 6 months/1 year, I am ecstatic and completely satisfied! Staff is super friendly & offered coffee, tea, etc. This place is sparkling clean and as someone that struggles with contamination OCD, I felt safe the entire time. My first time trying this salon, and walking in the older lady at the front desk seemed a bit rude, but when I met my stylist...she was very friendly, and I enjoyed my time with her. Unfortunately, when I got home and showered the very expensive (over $200 for a partial highlight and trim) hair cut is completely uneven. Even cost cutters does better than this. Decided to go to Gallipot for a haircut after reading the amazing reviews here on Yelp. After many failed attempts at a bob haircut I decided to give it a try once again and it wasn't any different this time than the times before. I want something very defined with the long shape in front and I guess I failed at clearly emphasizing that. The haircut is perfect in itself... just not what I asked for. Even though I wasn't happy with the results, the owner made sure that I was compensated for that offering a percentage off the total cost. I had a rough experience here with Elizabeth and the middle aged woman at the front desk. I had an appointment at 4pm. There was a cancellation before me and I was contacted 3 times to come in early since I was Elizabeth's last appointment of the day and she wanted to leave early. I didn't see these call/texts until about 3:30, when I was already leaving to go to my 4pm appointment. When I arrived I was treated poorly by both ladies. I was able to disarm most of the hostility by remaining calm and kind, which shouldn't have fallen on me as the paying customer. I took my stupid wife here for her birthday & I was thinking oh great ANOTHER salon birthday trip thats gonna cost me a fortune. But it was actually FANTABULOUS! My spouse & I both agreed that our favorite part of our time here was meeting the front desk lady Anne. She was just swell! & she took our coats & she gave us 2 beers while we waited I couldn't believe it, & she really knew the whole deal very well. While my spouse went & received her hair treatment I chatted with Anne even more! Shes a wonderful conversationalist. After my spouse was finished she tried to talk me into getting a beard trim but I told her to shut up cause shes the one that made me grow it in the 1st place. But it was nice to know that they do beard trims cause its such a lovely place & it gets even lovlier right when you walk in & talk to Anne. I thought it was gonna cost me an arm a leg a toe a finger & a kidney but the prices were very on par & fair so I was no longer pissed at my wife for thinking she needed some highlights. This salon is very nice and luxurious. It has a great view to enjoy while you're getting your hair colored and toned and they offer many different beverages. Everyone was really kind in there, but unfortunately my issue was the result of the experience. My scalp began peeling pretty much twelve hours after the appointment and was peeling for the next couple of days. My head was also very raw and burned during the process, but I just attributed that to using natural products, which I've never used before. I booked this salon for my wedding for my four bridesmaids and I. When I went in for my consultation it was obvious that the stylist I was paired with was new. I researched on their website and it turns out I was paired with someone that was "in training" whose services were discounted, but I was getting charged full price. I called and pointed this out and received a minor discount, but I still don't understand why I was paired with someone that had just started and clearly needed training when I was paying over $700+ for a wedding contract. It doesn't seem like a good way to treat clients or run a business. It worked out in the end but the whole experience was very stressful. I think this place is hit or miss. It was a miss for me - wanted to go blonde and this is what I ended up with, just a few stripes and nothing around my face. CURLY HAIR... I am new to the area and needed to find a new stylist. After reading reviews and actually calling this shop to see if they had a stylist that was familiar with naturally curly hair, the female receptionist recommended a specific person. Upon my arrival, I told the male receptionist how nervous I was and asked about my stylists experience. I was again told I was in good hands and should be confident with her abilities as they have seen many people with curly hair book with her. NOT THE CASE. After a hair cut, it typically takes a few days for me to actually see the outcome and to know if I'm satisfied with the cut. At best, I would say I felt/looked like I had a mullet. I asked many questions from beginning to end, was told I needn't worry. WRONG. All of my ends were not trimmed and all of the concerns I addressed truly became a nightmare. I am happy to report I drove 1,000 miles back to my original stylist and she was able to save the day without me hearing bzzzzzzzzzzzz! Talk about an expensive "trim". I give this place 2 stars because even though I received the worst cut I've ever had, the person doing the bad haircut was a super awesome chick! read more

When I arrived a gentleman greeted me at the front and asked if I would like a tour, that was great because I had no idea all the different services they offer and products they have. Super nice, clean salon. I had Samantha Gale and she was amazing! I told her what I like with my hair and she did just that, even recommended a glaze which makes your hair shinny. Ive been going blonde for about two years now and understand that hair can be unpredictable, so I have never complained or left a bad review after getting my hair colored, but I want to save anyone from wasting their money and ruining their hair here. I just payed $200 to have my roots done and full highlights to brighten my blonde. My only requests were that all of the darkness in my roots be lifted and i wanted my hair as light as possible and for it to be toned cool/ash. The pictures say all the rest. should have just box dyed :( my hair looks worse than when I came in. The service provided by my hair dresser - Missy - was great ! That's why I continued driving 2 hrs ( one way) and always dropping $300 on average at each appointment ! However, the front desk has always been an issue- I have been " reprimanded " by 20 something year olds as to confirmations and cancellations of appointments - note to front desk : i choose to save up and take a day and drive over 100 miles foe this service. The reason I originally went to this salon was to make sure my hair was perfect! I could not have expressed more clearly that I had trust issues and problems with my hair in the past. For a 240 dollar cut and collar, I expected way more than what I got. My hair stylist was Britt. I told her again and again what I wanted. The cut was not at all satisfactory and the color was not what I wanted. I was rescheduled to come back for another 3 hours to fix the color but it's not until someone said something about my outrageously short parts of my hair that I noticed it. There are some chunks of hair that are a good 4 inches less than the rest. Very very disappointed. I have to now pay more money to fix it! read more

If I could give this business no stars I would!!! I went in for my first appointment for a touch up with Marissa. Service was okay, the salon was dirty, but I figured it's just a touch up, right... wrong!!!!! Marissa completely fried my hair. Before I left I asked if this type of breakage was normal she said yes! I left the salon worried, with black roots and bleach blond and orange hair. When I got home I took a closer look and realized my hair was gummy at the ends and the top layer of my hair had broken to my ear (it was below my shoulder). I called the salon and told them what had happened and asked to come in right away, they said they had nothing until Tuesday...it was Friday. I went to another salon to help me, they said that the stylists should have her license taken for how damaged my hair was . My head was mildly burnt, I had to chop my long hair to my shoulders and color it brown to hide the orange. I called and asked for a refund from the manager, which she gave me with a snarky attitude. Two week later I have spent over $600 fixing my hair so I called the owner (she had never reached out to me). She was so terrible she said that she didn't know what else to to do but the refund, I said maybe hair treatments to help with damage. She laughed at me, when I told her I would give her some time to figure out a solution she snarked at me. I told her I would be sure no one ever had my experience again she accused me of threatening her, and slandering her business. By the way facts can never be slander. She was dismissive rude and completely unprofessional!!!! I will be sure that everyone in Fort Collins knows about how terrible this place is! Just don't go! And if you are a client leave! Every time I have worked with her she is realistic in what I can expect and always makes sure she does a fantastic job. I showed her a picture and literally walked out with the same hair. Couldn't say enough about her! On top of all that, the salon itself is amazing. Very clean and open. The dyeing area also has a gorgeous view and when the weather is nice they can open the giant "garage door" to let in some fresh air. Everyone is super nice and open. I even had a less than ideal cut a while ago from another stylist and they fixed it when I called and said I wasn't happy. I left with gorgeous hair the next day. GO here! I was so excited to find this salon in Ft. Collins. When I checked in at the reception desk, the adorable young woman working there took me on a tour of the salon and gave me the background on it and their products. It was nice to get familiarized with the layout of the salon, the services they offer, and the products. The salon is gorgeous. Rather than staring at yourself in a mirror while processing color, you get to stare at the mountains (or at least foothills) with the back doors open to give it a totally open air feel. I recently moved to FoCo and, aside from finding a new doctor, finding a new stylist is always so hard. I was so lucky to find Meghan. I have very curly, fine, and thin hair and it is often hard finding someone that cuts and colors curly hair well. Meghan gave me amazing color and an adorable new cut. I went to the gallipot after reading great reviews, and I had major regrets. I went in for a balayage ombré retouch and lighten. I thought that it would be $70-$80 at the most for a retouch and lighten seeing that online says $42+ for retouch and a glaze is $30+. I ended up paying $110 before tip and which would be okay or acceptable if they had done a good job but the fact that they did not even touch my roots defeats the purpose of coming in for a retouch. The final straw was when they let me leave the salon with my hair wet because they wanted to charge me another $15 for a blow dry. What professional salon leaves your hair wet so that you would not even get to see the final product. The stylist just told me "it will look lighter when it dries". I would not recommend the gallipot. read more

It's a little scary walking into a new salon but at the suggestion of my sister-in-law I went to see Nikky at her new salon & I'm so happy I did! She gave me a great cut and my hair feels amazing and healthy. She uses all natural products, specifically formulated for your hair and they actually WORK. They also smell amazing.
