I had my wedding hair and makeup done by Salon Maison and went with them because they seemed more reasonable than other stylists but it was my biggest regret of our wedding - I wish I had spent a little more and gotten a stylist who could make me look and feel beautiful on my big day. The stylist doing my makeup was so nice so I was hesitant to leave a review but I don't recommend Salon Maison if you want to have a modern or glam/sophisticated look. I suggest looking long and hard at the one star reviews. I was left looking like I was going to 90's prom and this is not an exaggeration - overly curled hair and very basic makeup. I felt like I had to micromanage the stylist and she asked few questions when we started about what I wanted. At one point I asked her to fix my eyeliner because it was smudged under my eye, so she fixed it and left another smudge while doing so. Her first attempt looked like it was drawn with crayon. I had sent them Pinterest boards prior and it looked nothing like it. Used really basic curling techniques I felt I could have done myself and many of the hair products were what I consider to be cheap drugstore brands - I was left with stiff, sad-looking hair with frizz. I wanted to cry when I saw it and deeply regretted not having just used my Airwrap and doing my makeup myself. My friend and I had to attempt to fix it ourselves. I think I had the worst hair in the room at my own wedding. Furthermore, shortly after writing a review, I received a cease & remove email from the salon threatening legal action and claiming false statements were made. I had high hopes for this salon when booking them for my wedding makeup, but unfortunately, I couldn't move forward after the preview. While the makeup artist was pleasant, the actual application was extremely disappointing. The makeup started running under our eyes almost immediately, the foundation shades were unflattering, and both of our moms looked like they had aged ten years due to the heavy application. When we brought up our concerns, their only solution was to offer a comped redo of the preview & a manager that would oversee the 4 stylists' day of, completely disregarding the fact that we had already paid nearly $1,000 for just the previews. Even after we were absolutely appalled and had to cancel the day-of services, they still kept the full amount. For such an important event, I expected professionalism and quality, but this experience left me frustrated and out a significant amount of money. I hired Salon Maison for my wedding and I would highly recommend! First off, I received excellent customer service during these COVID-19 times. They were very understanding when we had to postpone our wedding. When we finally picked a new date, they were very responsive and quick to answering questions and adjusting my contract. I went to the location in West Seattle. Katie was my consultant and I was so happy with her work during the pre-session and actual wedding day. I showed her a few reference photos and she did a great job with the look I was going for. On my wedding day, Katie also did hair and makeup for my sister. She did a wonderful job with the look she was going for too. Katie also listened to a couple small changes I wanted to make and I was very satisfied with the final look. We had terrible weather so Katie made sure that my hair and makeup would stay put. And she definitely delivered! After the ceremony, we held a brief celebration outside, and I am still shocked at how well my hair and makeup held up in the crazy wind and rain! So happy that I found Salon Maison for my wedding! Things didn't work out with my original stylist, and I found myself scrambling to find someone last minute with just a month to go to the wedding. We were so worried that we wouldn't find anyone on such short notice, but then we found Salon Maison. They were easy to work with, arranged for a trial quickly and assured us that they would have someone for our wedding day. The specific stylist who worked with us (Kat) was wonderful! I would highly recommend Salon Maison for those looking for bridal hair/makeup, especially with a larger group. Because I had five bridesmaids and two moms getting their hair/makeup done alongside me, I knew I needed to enlist the services of a reputable company that could handle that. Salon Maison did not disappoint. From the initial booking to the execution on my wedding day, it was a pretty wonderful experience. Celeste, Cindy, and the team are all very responsive and flexible. Angela, my stylist, was FANTASTIC. After my hair and makeup trial, I had a few minor changes and she accommodated them perfectly on my wedding day. My hair and makeup was exactly what I imagined for the big day and looked almost as good at the end of the night (almost twelve hours later) as it did earlier that morning! Additionally, the Salon Maison team was awesome on the big day. My bridesmaids and moms were all so happy with their services and everyone's hair and makeup looked simply beautiful. They finished on-time (actually a few minutes before), so we were able to snap some fun photos in the hotel room with our hair/makeup done, robes on, and mimosas in hand. My only "complaint" with Salon Maison is their contracting method. The contract process is quite confusing - they insist that you sign the contract after each change is mind. While I understand why, it made it extremely confusing at times, and we ended up having to add on several services at the trial, which increased the cost. First, I am not one to usually write reviews and this needed to be done to prevent others from venturing down my path. If you would like the full review see below; here is the summary. Salon Maison was unresponsive 14 days till 3 days before my wedding. Bride's Hair stylist was one hour late to wedding day appointment. Salon maison tried to get me to sign a contract which pushed back my timeline multiple times when I had signed a contract 9 months before. This place is not worth the time and money for the amount of stress 2 weeks before my wedding and ON MY WEDDING DAY! 9 months till wedding date - I booked services and gave an estimate of timelines. 30 days till wedding date - I ask to increase my bridal party service (eyelashes and one hair) and they were accommodating. I double checked my timeline with them as it had been finalized with all other services. I asked them to have my services end before the rest of my bridal party. I did not receive any updated contract. 14 days till wedding - (my pre-session) I confirm with my stylist the extra services, timeline I need to be finished and she offered me additional services available (groom styling). I, of course, jumped on some additional services as she said they would be cost adjustments only. She would confirm and send me an updated contract. 13 days till wedding - I receive an updated contract with additional services laid out, and notice my timeline has shifted one hour later. I call and email to get information on it with no response. I thought the time adjustment was due to the added services, so I wanted them removed even after they said they could accommodate. 12-7 days till wedding - I call and email everyday without a response and without signing the updated contract because of parallel timelines with other services. I wanted to cancel at this point and book elsewhere as the lack of communication and customer service was frustrating. 6 days to wedding - My fiancé calls and emails to take over as I was at my whits end. Salon Maison would not provide additional services at my original timeline. Fine - we removed the additional services offered and had agreed to 9-months out to keep the timeline. They send over another contract - which still had a shift in time to one hour later for services to start and end. 5-3 days to wedding - call and email again to regain the original time slot and emphasis I needed to be finished for pictures. Day of wedding - my makeup artist arrives 1 hour late (the time I was supposed to have my services end). read more

Of all the salons I've been to, this has to be the best for weddings. I've been a bridesmaid twice in Seattle and both brides used Salon Maison. If it wasn't for their weddings, I would've never thought to walk into their salon or used their services. I had my wedding this past April and Southern California and it was perfect because the salon owner was based out of California. My trial was at Heather's house and she both her passion and excitement for cosmetics and for the wedding made me excited for the wedding. She was easy to talk to and very attentive. All I told her was what colors and style I was looking for and she made it look even better!! The best thing about Salon Maison's work is that it stays on ALL DAY LONG. I was in California in last June 2016 and it was around 90 degrees. I ran around running errands both indoors and outdoors and sweated a lot, but the product was resistant to everything that day. My hair held up extremely well and I was happy to tell her that I loved it and wanted to book an appointment. The day of, I had overslept and both Heather and her assistant were prompt. I felt so bad, but even with my 5 minute delay, we got all 5 of us ladies done and they were out the door. They were so good with my bridesmaids and their requests. Service was prompt, professional, attentive, and it's a wedding, so fun! I highly recommend Heather because she has good tips for hair and skin to prep for your wedding, but she also has an infectious and amazing personality. My wife and I got married in October (2019) at the Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside CA and we really enjoyed working with Salon Maison for our hair & makeup services! Our Bridal and Bridal Party hair and makeup was just perfect! From the moment I emailed and called Salon Maison they were very clear, honest, and communicative. I loved that they immediately in my first email sent me their pricing. I did a lot of research and found that Salon Maison's pricing was very average/fair for high quality services and the years of experience they have! Being two brides, having two Mother of the Brides, and 8 Bridesmaids, Salon Maison was very helpful and accommodating in making sure our hair and makeup looked great for our large party of 12 ladies! I found them to be very communicative over email and the phone and they always responded quickly. Handling payments over the phone was very easy with them too. Both of our hair trials were wonderful and we truly had a great experience. With having two Brides, it was important to us that we had multiple stylists so that we wouldn't get behind in our getting ready the morning of the wedding. Salon Maison said that we would have at least 3 stylists for the day. The morning of the wedding, there was unfortunately a medical emergency with one of our 3 stylists and Salon Maison emailed/called at 5:45am that day to inform me. Due to the medical emergency they said they were sending their most senior stylist as one of our 2 other stylists and that they would work on getting a third person. Our hair/makeup was supposed to start at 7am, but they said they would be about 15/20 minutes delayed because of this and unfortunately they were closer 45/50 minutes late which made our day start about an hour behind. We also didn't end up getting a third stylist like we needed. This delay was unfortunate as it affected our photo taking schedule later, but of course there was nothing we could do since it was a medical emergency. We ended about an hour later than planned. It was unfortunate, but not their fault. I wish there was perhaps a back up stylist plan with Salon Maison, in case something like this happens. Despite the late start, our stylists Heidi and Aliyah were fantastic. They did such an incredible job making sure that our Bridal Hair/Makeup and our Bridal party's Hair/Makeup looked wonderful. They both truly listened to us in what we were wanting and what our Mother's and Bridesmaid's wanted as well. Heidi (the most senior stylist), was a hair/makeup magician. Despite the late start and missing 3rd stylist, she got through our party's hair/makeup so quickly and so we were only 1 hour delayed. She also was so kind to offer our full party complimentary eye lashes with their makeup due to the delay. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Salon Maison despite the hiccup and absolutely loved our hair and makeup on our wedding day! That information is tucked into a very long intro email, and it sounds like they normally tell you on the phone, too, but our original consult was a bit time pressured and I don't think we discussed it. Our conversation went: (Saturday consult) Me, Monday, by email: We're in! Salon Maison, Tuesday: Okay, we can give you a call to get your credit card number. What time will work? This review is for a wedding party styling where the SM team came to a location to do hair and makeup for 6 people. First of all they insisted on the time they were going to show up based on how many people needed work done. The bride requested 9am but was told they wouldn't need that much time and would arrive at 11am. The bride was a mess of nerves anxious about timing and they assured her it would work out fine. On the day of the wedding two girls arrived at 11, and the third arrived around 1pm. It was very stressful for all of us and my hair looked absolutely awful. The girl who did my hair must not have been paying attention bc I showed her a photo and explained to her exactly what I wanted and what to avoid. The outcome was horrific. There wasn't time to fix it as I was left to be last at the same time as the bride. The girls on the team were young and sweet but could definitely have used 5x as much hairspray. 4 out of 6 of our hair styles were falling out and in need of repinning by the time we were at the venue needing to put our dresses on before the wedding ceremony. This is absolutely unacceptable for a hair styling that cost $80 per person! The only redeeming quality about the business was they offered the bride a deep conditioning treatment as a wedding gift. Salon Maison did a wonderful job with hair and makeup for me and my whole bridal party. I found them a pleasure to work with. They were efficient, professional, and talented. On the recommendation of my photographer, I contacted Salon Maison last December. He told me that they always do great work and they run on time. I had no trouble getting in touch with anyone over there. We exchanged a few emails and a phone conversation. One reviewer here complained about the contract, but I thought it was perfectly reasonable. All the money is completely refundable up to 90 days out so even if you didn't like the terms, you are not on the hook. I originally booked for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and the moms. The moms elected to do their own makeup, and I had absolutely no trouble amending the contract prior to the 90 day mark. I did the pre-session at their salon in Bellevue. They gave me a glass of champagne and put us in a nice room they have set up for pre-sessions. Heidi, the lead stylist for my wedding, did my hair and makeup beautifully. We also talked about my bridesmaids who have all different sorts of hair and came up with a plan. On my wedding day, Heidi and her team of two additional stylists showed up promptly. They had allotted 10:45-2:45 for the five of us. Heidi did my hair and makeup just like at the pre-session, and the other girls worked with Heidi and her assistants. I will say that Heidi did have to have one of her assistants re-start one of my bridesmaids' hair, but that was the only hiccup I noticed. She was also attentive after all of our hair was done, noting if any pieces came out or needed to be re-pinned. My hair certainly stayed in place all night, and I believe my bridesmaids' did as well. And guess what? They finished early! We were all done by 2 pm which gave us a few minutes to relax before getting into our dresses. We even had time to get the room staged for dress pictures before the photographer showed up. I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my hair! Everyone loved it! I am so happy with the work they did. I guess the only cons are (a) they are a bit expensive and (b) the fake lashes cost extra for your bridesmaids and at the pre-session (they are included for the bride on the day of). With regard to (a), you get what you pay for, and I have no regrets on that front. With regard to (b), the lashes take a long time. Heidi spent a lot of time placing them properly, blending them, and removing excess glue from around my eyes. But once she was done, I was so comfortable in them and didn't even notice them for the rest of the night. read more

I'm honestly really disappointed with my experience with Salon Maison over the last couple weeks. I was stood up four times when I had arranged phone calls at a mutually agreeable time to get more details. When I was finally able to connect with Celeste and confirm that my date was available, I emailed to book services right after speaking to her. In the two days that it took to get a response from them, the date was booked over by someone else. I have tried calling the salon probably close to 20 times since I first emailed but it consistently went to voicemail, with none of my calls returned even after leaving messages. I understand that things change quickly and that it's a really busy season, but the lack of timely communication has frankly been unprofessional. Highly recommend Salon Maison. I had them do my hair and makeup, six bridesmaids, my mom and my grandmas hair and makeup for my August 2018 wedding. The three women that came were absolutely wonderful. I had a trial session with my main stylist a month before my wedding. As someone who is admittedly not makeup and hair savvy, I was nervous about accurately relaying the look I was going for. My stylist listened and asked clarifying questions, she did an excellent job of understanding exactly the look I wanted and worked with the hairpiece I made to create my dream look! Both experiences in their salon in Bellevue and at my parents home for the day of my wedding were wonderful. My bridesmaids all had the same makeup style, but the stylists made sure they each looked like themselves which made me happy. My mom and Grandma looked lovely as well. I felt like I still looked like me, just the best version of me, and all my bridesmaids felt the same. No "cake face" or heavy feeling hairspray. All the makeup and hair lasted all day long through tears, August heat and lots of dancing in a hot room! I was very pleased with the service that Katie, McKenzie, and Yasmin provided for my wedding at Willows Lodge! The bridal hair/makeup pre-session at the Bellevue location the week before went very smoothly as Katie considered my requests carefully and succeeded in creating a soft, natural look for my makeup and an elegant hairstyle that incorporated my veil. She was very pleasant and attentive throughout the session. The morning of the wedding, the three stylists (Katie, McKenzie, and Yasmin) were there at Willows Lodge very promptly at 5am (even a little bit earlier!)!! All were very professional in helping myself, my 3 bridesmaids, mom, grandma, and flower girl get ready. They kept to the schedule and there was never any rushing or stress in getting everyone dolled up! The makeup and hair were a happy compromise between soft/natural and "put together". I and everyone else who got their hair/makeup done by the Salon Maison team also felt this way and were very satisfied with the result. The makeup enhanced rather than cover up my face. The hair also looked very natural but was out of the way so I could move my arms around. Wow. I am truly horrified. Last year I was married in August. We met a multitude of AMAZING vendors. Unfortunately with any wedding there will be road bumps. We initially were going to go with Salon Maison but after a makeup and hair trial that looked like a blind toddler attacked my face with a set of crayons we cancelled our contract (they threw QUITE a fuss). Maybe it was just a bad day for the girl doing my hair and makeup. If our experience ended there I would never venture to Yelp about it, but as I am here, it clearly did not. A friend called me last week asking me how I like Salon Maison and if I would recommend them for her wedding as she saw my photograph on their website. Hold on. SAY WHAT?!?!?!? Apparently over the last year Salon Maison has had one of my wedding photographs up on their website- even though on my wedding day they did not TOUCH me. I had my makeup done by Mandy at the downtown Nordstroms MAC counter (who was spot on) and my hair done at Gene Juarez (also brilliant). I am both horrified and revolted by Salon Maison's bad business practices. I am currently awaiting a phone call back from them, which may never arrive. After leaving a message on their machine they have taken the photo down but have yet to call me back to explain how it EVER landed on their website. I hired salon maison for my wedding. My hair and makeup looked great but my hair was not what I asked for, which was very disappointing since I wanted to do a transition look. The 2nd technician that they made me pay for due to having a large group was 3 hours late and when she got there she had nothing she could do as she was only allowed to curl hair. My mom (mother of the bride) make looked terrible because the technician was rushing. Her hair also fell out not 10 minutes after being finished. And unfortunately due to the technician being so late she couldn't redo my mom's hair. My maid of honor also had a terrible time. She specifically requested to not have MAC brand put on her which the technician didn't listen to. My maid of honor ended up having a severe allergic reaction and had to take all her makeup off about 20 minutes after getting it done. Overall I would never again recommend salon maison to anyone especially for their wedding. I have since contacted them directly and have not heard back about anything or a refund. read more

My stylist was a nice person. But... My hair on my trial day was better than my wedding day (my hairpiece kept falling out on wedding day). Makeup was done well... and I hate to give them a terrible review because I really did appreciate the (mild amount of) pampering... but, I think I could have done my own makeup similarly and saved myself a boatload of money. I was hoping that the stylist would come out and have more input for hair ideas... I mean, I'm not a hair stylist; I've never been married before and thus have never gone through something like this; I don't typically do fancy-schmancy stuff to myself but was hoping for a little more glamourous pampering. I guess I was expecting someone to come out and be like "tell me a few things about you and your fashion aesthetic, show me your dress, tell me about your usual routine" and then do some kind of creative computing in their brain and come up with something fabulous and pretty without me having to show them a bunch of wedding hair clippings and do hair-style charades (Me: "two words, starts with 'Avoid' ends with 'Updo'"). Especially having paid as much as I did, was hoping it would be less awkward. I guess I'm paying for someone to come out to my house... which, was a great convenience. But... if I could do it all over again, I'd have gone to my usual hair stylist and done my own makeup. They get 2 stars because people told me I looked pretty. read more

I'm suprised that Salon Maison gets such low rankings on Yelp. Especially because on theknot.com it is super highly rated. I had them do my hair/makeup for my wedding as well as some hair and make up for my bridesmaids and my mom. They only sent 1 person to do 6 people's hair and/or makeup, but she was super quick. They were very responsive to e-mail and also over the phone. I did feel though that the hair stylist/make up artist didn't bring a whole ton of ideas on the day of for the bridesmaids. And I also felt she might not have been as comfortable for whatever reason. I don't think my mom was too thrilled with the results immediately afterwards, but after the hair settled a bit I think it turned out quite nicely. I would definitely recommend them. My hair and makeup lasted the entire day and night. My headpiece did not come off, and it was all very comfortable. I do think that if you do go with them, you will need to have ideas. read more

I contacted Salon Maison at the recommendation of my wedding coordinator. She made it abundantly clear that the last thing I wanted to be doing on my wedding day was running around from location to location to complete my look. After she put it that way, she was absolutely right. I was not about to fight traffic downtown all while trying to keep my hair intact and my face shine-free. In discussing the pricing with Mary from Salon Maison, I was initially taken aback. But, when she explained that the price also included a trial-run that consisted of them coming to your house and doing your hair and makeup as many times as it took to make you happy, I was sold. After all, I may have a vision of what I want, but that certainly does not mean that it's the right vision! Aimee arrived for our trial-run about 15 minutes before she was scheduled to. I don't know about you, but that really impressed me. In working with multiple companies for a variety of different occasions, it is a rarity these days for people to value your time as much as they value their own. An early arrival is an on-time arrival in my books. After a quick look at some photos I had pulled up to show her, Aimee got right to work. Without fail, she did exactly what I asked her to do. Amazing volume, stunning curls, classic makeup -- everything was perfection. On top of it all, she was so swift. Do not be alarmed -- her speed was no indication that she was hurrying her way through the process. She just knew what she was doing, and her time-management was a testament to that. During the 2 months that passed between when I first saw Aimee and when I saw her on my wedding day, I had slightly changed the look I was going for. Aimee didn't even bat an eyelash when I dropped the bomb on her that I wanted something different than what we had previously discussed. She just went right to work and created the exact look that I described. I was so confident in her skills that it didn't even scare me for one second that we hadn't had a trial-run of the new look. I just knew that Aimee was adaptable, and that she would make it happen! In total, there were 6 people (including myself) that had their hair and makeup done through Salon Maison. I literally cannot give enough praise to what they were able to complete on me wedding party. Each girl had a low bun, but done in different, intricate, and personalized manners. The makeup was simple, yet heavy enough to withstand an entire day of photography, dancing, eating, and schmoozing.They completed everything right on time, and were an absolute joy to work with. Although I don't have another wedding planned in my future, I do wish that I had a reason to give them a call to glam me up again! I was fortunate to win free make-up for my wedding day at the Seattle Wedding Show and I am so glad I did. Everything went smoothly with booking them and everyone was very professional from the beginning. They sent out multiple confirmations for appointments and reminded me when payments were due (which helps when you're the bride-to-be and have to keep track of multiple vendors). My makeup/hair artist(s) Bonnie and Amy arrived on time for the trial and on the wedding day and were personable, friendly, but most important of all talented. Bonnie did my hair and makeup and did an amazing job - my hair was exactly what I wanted and the makeup stayed all day long (even though I cried 4x on my wedding day). Initially, I was a little nervous about how my makeup was going to turn out since doing makeup on Asian features can be more difficult (and I'm not used to seeing myself with a lot of makeup on), but I loved the end result. Amy did my bridesmaid's hair and all of them look great throughout the entire day. PS: Book at the wedding show so that you can get a discount on hair/makeup. Because I booked at the show, I also got free fake eyelashes (which I think is usually $35). Even if you're not sure that you absolutely want to go with them, book at the show because your deposit is 100% refundable for a period of time (I think up until 2 months before the wedding date?) so you can change your mind later. I had Kayla do my hair and her assistant was Hannah. The company itself has been prompt, professional, and informative in every correspondence I had with them. Kayla was sweet and attentive, and listened to what I wanted in a look. During the trial session we figured out the look I was going for and she was open to anything I had to say about it. It felt really fancy to be styled with champagne! She said too if I could think of any changes to let her know. Day of, they were so punctual. They said they'd arrive at 10 am and it was about to the minute when I heard the door knock to the room. She checked to make sure I had no more changes. I told her the only thing was the day of the trial the hair slipped a bit by the end of the night. She said she'd prep for that by adding more pins. I prepped for that day myself by making sure I did an extra day without washing my hair. (As we all know, dirty hair is hair that lasts longer in an updo! More grip is available instead of clean sleek hair). Hannah was sweet too, they both interacted well with my bridesmaids, mom, and flower girl. After they finished everyone (with time to spare) they checked in with me to see if there was anything else I needed. I said no, they did great, so they left. At the venue, I was worried about getting the dress over my hair and makeup. We all struggled with it for a bit and I spend some time claustrophobic inside the dress...by the time got out I panicked about the condition of the hair and makeup. It hadn't budged! It was perfect. The day itself got pretty rainy but no rain or bumping into the umbrella messed up my hair. I also had the exact lipstick (at advisement of Kayla) to touch up between pictures. So in conclusion, they were one of my top vendors of the day! Some of the pictures have already come out amazing. I would use them again. Perhaps for my 1 year anniversary! Salon Maison did the hair/makeup for myself, and the mothers, hair for my BM's. Everyone was very satisfied. Heidi and Ashley worked on us, but Ashley did my hair makeup. She did a really great job, is very professional and wants feedback ("do you like this?", "it too light or heavy?", etc) to make sure that I was comfortable with the end result when we did our trial run. I was sure to inform Ashley that my hair usually never stays in an updo for very long (the one done by Gene Juarez a year prior lasted about 3 hours...lame), so she used extra pins and hairspray. The trial run and wedding day updo both stayed in place until I took them out, nothing fell! I highly recommend Salon Maison, but they are a little high priced. My suggestion is if you don't have a date that is in high demand (mine was April) that you wait until the Seattle Wedding Show to book them, they have some good "show specials" if you book there. read more

After a horrific experience with another hair and make-up company (Pacific Artistry) I decided to stick to one with outstanding reviews. I was so overjoyed to have Carla working with me for my wedding day after an outstanding hair and make-up trial. She came to the hotel on time and beyond prepared. I attended my rehearsal dinner that night and Carla was so wonderful that she changed my make-up so my fiance wouldn't see my bridal look. The day of the wedding she came on time to our bridal suite. She interpreted all my bridesmaids' descriptions and created outstanding looks for all five. I was elated over getting the bridal look of my dreams! My husband said I never looked more beautiful! Salon Maison did my hair/make-up on my wedding day on 8/7/2010. They also did hair/make-up for my bridesmaids, flower girls & mother of the groom. Heidi was the lead and she was amazing! If you book with Salon Maison for your wedding, make sure you request Heidi to do your hair/make-up. She met with me in May for a full trial so that I was comfortable with our decisions on the wedding day. Salon Maison was extremely responsive anytime I had to make a change to the number of clients or services. They came to my hotel suite on the wedding day and did all of our hair/make-up there. I felt so beautiful and got many compliments on my hair/make-up. If you are looking for on-site hair/make-up for your wedding day, for someone to come to you, you should absolutely book with Salon Maison. They are extremely professional, have been around for more than 20 years and are rated #1 in Seattle Bride magazine for wedding day hair/make-up services. I would recommend Salon Maison for any event you might want to look amazing for. I used them for myself for my wedding, as well as for my bridesmaids and the moms/grandmas for a total of 13 people. They managed getting all of our hair and makeup done within a pretty quick time, and we were all beyond happy with the way we looked after. As someone who's beauty routine consists of a tinted moisturized on good days and maybe using a hairbrush every other day, you can imagine how much I was not looking forward to wedding makeup and hair. (Especially for what seems like such an exorbitant cost to not look like myself.) Yet, here I am writing a 5 star review. Brianna worked with me for hours one week before the wedding to make sure I loved every detail. I could not imagine a more pleasant experience with a stylist and makeup artist. She was a complete sweetheart, patient, not overly talkative but definitely friendly and socially aware. Day of, she took care of my sister-in-law's hair first. Fabulous. And when she finished with my hair and make-up it was exactly what we had planned. I could not be happier with my experience! *Note* Don't be deterred by not being able to get someone on the telephone or what seems like "fake" smiles from the ladies on the phone when you first book. I really wanted to love Salon Maison. I loved the experience I had at the syle bar, and the girls are all really sweet. But the day of my wedding my makeup was blotchy and looked caked-on. It added about 15 years to my skin which I have been working so hard to get clear and dewy for the big day. I just hope my photographer can smooth out the lines it gave me. The lines around my eyes and lips were lopsided and shaky and I had to remove them and redo them. Having spent a fair amount of money to have my makeup done, I was disappointed that I had to do it myself. I opted to do eye shadow on myself, since the trial didn't end well for me a few hours later and I'm glad I did. I just wish I had only booked them for hair. The hair was decent. It was what I was hoping for and it stayed in, but I think it looked nicer at the trial-which is a shame because I came out of there with frizzy and matted looking hair. They hair they did for my mom was really beautiful and some of the girls looked great as well. Two of the girls were not happy with theirs. One of my biggest issues was that we were told to be at our getting ready location at 7am. We left my house at 6am to get there because they said it would take until 11:15 to do everyone. They were done by just after 9am, and we all just sat around waiting for a few hours, hungry and a little miffed that we cut so much sleep out for something that didn't take nearly as long as they said it would. In their defense, we DID book a little late. It was sort of a last-minute thing. Also: I had to pay in full for everyone before I had my trial. I think I wouldn't have booked them if I had a trial first. In conclusion: Really nice staff. Everyone was very sweet. They just didn't deliver. I spent a LOT of money on them. I really wish I had put that money into something else. read more
