The actual hair and makeup was beautiful, but you have to put up with terrible communication and unresponsiveness. I never received any kind of contract or final quote. I reached out to book my trial and didn't hear back for 2 months and only after reaching out more. I also didn't get a timeline until the day before including arrival times for the stylists. Then they texted me afternoon the day before my wedding asking me to pay in full (still no contract) and when I didn't see because I was at my rehearsal dinner they texted again saying I needed to pay promptly at 9am the day of my wedding. Luckily it all worked out but I was extremely anxious they were going to bail, especially because again I had absolutely nothing holding them to it besides a few texts. I am really disappointed with the professionalism of Pacific Artistry and Moda Organic Salon. I really wanted them to be as professional and as talented as their other clients describe them as. When I was ready to sign a contract to book both the trial run and the wedding day, they never got back to me with a contract. I contacted them twice about the contract and waited weeks between each email. I finally called the studio in an attempt to book the trial. The receptionist took my information and had the owner email me the booking site. The receptionist confirmed availability for my wedding date. I was disappointed when the trial was $50 more than what I was quoted on my original inquiry. When I checked into the salon, Moda Organic Salon - which is owned by the same person, I was greeted by chaos: loud music, kids running around, and no one at the receptionist desk. My appointment started 45 min late. My stylist, the owner, rushed through my hair styling and told me how busy she was. She even reported off that her daughter said, "I'm really good at swimming and you're really good at working." My hair style looked nothing like the pictures I provided. My bun didn't look full and the curls fell out of the bun after an hour of walking around. The airbrush makeup looked natural with the exception of blotchy areas on my cheeks, which she assured me it was from a gentle peel I did a few days before. Lacey had me email her all the details for my day of services and assured me that she'd send me a contract afterwards. I paid $250 for my trial, sent her all my details, and reached out multiple times about a contract. I never heard back from her. That's $250, about 2 hours in a salon, and 2 hours of commuting wasted over sub par service. Overall, the owner Pacific Artistry and Moda Organic Salon simply lacks the professionalism and communication skills any bride deserves. There are hundreds of wedding day styling artists out there and unfortunately some are unprofessional and some are scam artists... Pacific Artistry is fantastic!!! When I first found them I contacted the owner Shanelle and had a ton of questions for her. She quickly responded to each and every one of my questions in a super friendly manner. Months later when she came over to my house for the hair and makeup trial run we had a blast together. In fact we laughed and chatted for at least an hour before we even started the trial run. We got so distracted just having a great time together. The hair and makeup looked great. I only had one concern about my makeup and Shanelle was so wonderful and understanding with me to try and figure out what I wasn't happy about. She came directly to the hotel where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, she did all of my bridesmaids hair, and two of their makeup as well. All of the girls hair looked amazing, and the makeup that she did was so great too. My hair looked amazing and she did exactly what I had wanted for my makeup, with the changes I wanted since the trial. The whole time she was laughing and having a blast with all of us. It felt more like a friend helping us than using a business. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this company. When looking for hair stylists and a makeup artist for my wedding, I was a little hesitant to contact Pacific Artistry due to the negative reviews on multiple sites. As many other reviews states, I had immediate contact with Shanelle, the owner, who answered my questions with promptness and interest. After checking with a friend, who had been in a wedding last summer where the bride had chosen Pacific Artistry, I decided to go with them. However, once I had paid my deposit, all email communications stopped and I had the hardest time trying to contact Shanelle. I had signed my contract, but Shanelle had not filled in the details, and each time I sent it back, it return without any information in it. I was concerned as I knew this wouldn't be a binding contract without any of the information. My wedding planner also tried many times to contact her, and after weeks of trying, managed to get a signed contract the week before the wedding. I was lucky as I had the fabulous hair stylist of Kat Green. She was consistent in emailing, set up my trial, and generally made sure everything was taken care of for the wedding. If it wasn't for her, I would have been super panicked that there would be no hair stylist/makeup artist on my wedding day. The positiveness of my review comes solely from her work and for her. She was a great leader with the other stylists that worked on my wedding. She is such a kind and funny person, making me feel beautiful on my wedding day! I was lucky enought to have my make-up done by Pacific Artistry twice. Once by Shanelle when my best friend got married and once by Nika when I got married. (Don't be confused by the username, I am using my husbands account!) Shanelle was wonderful! She made us all laugh and feel super comfortable! Our make-up was amazing. The only thing I altered after having my make-up done is adding a touch more mascara... I love mascara!!! My make-up stayed on all day and I didn't need to touch it up once!!! The short story: my wedding hair and makeup looked good, but overall they have no respect for your time or wedding timeline and the owner is rude and unprofessional. Long story: *Booking experience: I first tried to book services for bridal and wedding party hair and makeup over email with Lacey the owner. I paid the $300 deposit on venmo but when I asked for a contract she said they didn't provide them ?? even though it says they do on their website. She then clarified that I was booking HER and not the company even though she never said that and that to book Pacific Artistry and get a contract (which what bride would EVER book a vendor without a contract???) she would have to refund me and go the process over through the company, which is what I ended up doing. It just seemed very weird and dishonest how she tried to book me privately when I was emailing the business address. *Trial experience: I had my hair and makeup trial with Sabrina who was very nice. Lacey was there and when Sabrina asked for her help she came over the YANKED on my hair, never introduced herself, never saw her smile, very rude and unprofessional, not someone I would ever want there on my wedding day. The trial was supposed to take 1-2 hours, and I ended up being there for FIVE HOURS. I do have thick hair, but I was NOT prepared to be there for that long. I was thirsty and hungry and I was sore the next day from sitting in the chair so long. While I appreciate Sabrina taking her time, it was very unprofessional and way too long to sit there. And they never mentioned the time passing or anything. She only said it wouldn't take as long on the day because she was experimenting. When Sabrina did my make up it ended up great but I was a little confused she asked very little questions, nothing about my skin type or concerns, she just kind of put on whatever she felt like. *Wedding day: We booked Pacific Artistry even though they were more expensive than other vendors specifically because they promised they could get us all ready in 3 hours at the venue which is what our timeline allowed and I made clear was important to us. We got started early that morning with Sabrina and Erica which was great, but I ended up not being ready until at least 45 minutes after was scheduled and missed a lot of photo time before the ceremony. Erica handled the bridesmaids and they were ready on time, and Sabrina did my mom and then she said I should go later so as to be more fresh but I said no I wanted to make sure we had enough time, which thank goodness because I was not ready on time at all even being second into her chair. They didn't seem to put any thought into time management, even though my hair and makeup were done on the first attempt, no changes were made, it still took almost three hours to get me ready which was totally unacceptable. They did not deliver on their promises and it caused extra stress and missed photos. They need more clear communication with brides about expectations for timing, and they need to CARE more about it. I seriously can't believe she wanted me to go later in the order after my trial took so long and I said our timeline was important. My trial was also less than a month before the wedding so fresh in her memory. That being said, my hair and make up looked great at the wedding. The hair Erica did for bridesmaids and MOG looked pretty good too, but not like the pictures she was shown and there were some issues with curls falling out. I also emailed them after the fact and communicated with Don who tried to lie and say the timeline was thrown off because the stylists weren't allowed to get there early and set up and that we started late, even though Sabrina and Erica were there before us and we got started at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start. Overall, I hope this helps someone make a more informed decision before booking this company. I am sorry to say that my experience with Pacific Artistry was not a good one. This is the first time I am writing of a service provider online. Before doing so I attempted to address the issues directly with the owner, only to find that process additionally concerning. My three issues were: A) Lack of communication between Lacey and the stylists on the day of the wedding. This resulted in the team not having the information needed to be able to do my hair and make-up as outlined in the trial appointment with Lacey. B) Frequent changes in the arrival time, the total time needed to get everyone ready and how many stylists would be present. With changes being initiated by Pacific Artistry up to the day before the wedding. C) Changes to the trial date - I contacted Lacey initially in late April for my August wedding. April 27th she scheduled my trial for July 19th at noon in BL location. On June 20th I received and email from Lacey with new days and times for the trial. In response, I reminded her of the previous schedule and she requested a change in location, date and time. After the honeymoon, I attempted to discuss with Lacey on the ways I felt that the services fell short. In that effort, I found her to be less then open to looking at what could have been done better. Rather, she was defensive, blaming and even a bit rude. I requested a partial refund for which Lacey deferred to her husband who manages part of the business. After a final follow-up I never heard back from either of them. read more

I used Pacific Artistry for my wedding on Saturday. There are Pros and Cons to using them. Pro: The overall pricing is beyond good compared to most mobile hair and makeup artists in the Seattle area, making it really easy for me to afford having my hair and makeup done on location. Con: When I signed the contract, the price to have my maid of honors hair and makeup trail run was I believe $60 + tax. The price apparently went up to a flat $75, and when I was told of this I felt that the original price should have been honored. Shanelle blatantly told me, "Well, the price is $75 now." Its not too much of a difference, but I still felt like original prices should have been honored, or at least more explanation/sympathy for your paying customer should have been given. Pro: Pacific Artistry is solely a mobile service, meaning that any service they provide is done anywhere you need it to be done. For example, we had our trial hair and makeup done at my best friends apartment. Con: My make up artist was an hour late to the trial! Pro: She was very apologetic about it, and she was on time (even about 10 minutes early!) on the wedding day which leads me to believe that it was just a one time mistake being late. Pro: Shyn was amazing to work with. She's very outgoing and easy to talk to. Also, I felt like I looked amazing on the day of. And my makeup lasted ALL. DAY. LONG. (which I for some reason can never get it to do). My hair also lasted the entire event, even when I was dancing and getting all sweaty! :) Con: None here! My hair was too curly during the make up trial with her putting mousse in it, and she remembered the day of to not put mousse in it, and it looked amazing!! And honestly, looking and feeling amazing on your wedding day is the most important thing than anything else, which PA was able to do for me. All in all, I really really really enjoyed working with Shyn enough that even these small cons wouldn't stop me from using PA (or just Shyn's services) again if I ever needed to!! read more

I found Pacific Artistry and really liked their work based on their photos and was excited that I had found hair and makeup that had a price that fit my budget and also looked like good work. I reached out to Pacific Artistry and they said they were available for my date. Awesome! I then asked them some questions, which took forever to receive responses to. I thought, man, at this rate, I will be getting the contract the day of my wedding. I even asked through our wedding wire chat if there was a faster way of communicating since their responses are not timely at all. No response. I found a phone number to call, and after calling them at various times of the day and leaving a voicemail, still no response. Days passed and as my wedding is drawing nearer and nearer, I'm getting a little worried and upset at the lack of communication with Pacific Artistry. I decided to go to their website and was able to find a different phone number there that said text is preferred so I thought, great, I'll actually be able to reach someone and get this thing going finally. Just an FYI, I had already made it clear that I wanted to hire Pacific Artistry. So I sent them a text message explaining the situation and how my wedding is less than 3 weeks away now and no one is answering or getting back to me and I would really like to get my hair and makeup squared away. I was told "sorry, Lacey is on vacation, but will get back with you on Tuesday." Tuesday came and went...so I texted back and asked if Lacey was back from vacation and the text response said that she was. Okayyyyyy (at this point I'm really frustrated at the lack of professionalism but I kept my cool and texted back asking "is there a number I can communicate with her directly?" And this folks is where my story ends. I got no response back. And let me tell you this- I STILL haven't heard back from Pacific fucking Artistry. I said fuck these people, I have literally been chasing them down begging them for a fucking contract..please, please take my money. They didn't want it I guess....After Pacific Artistry wasted so much of my time, I had to move on and look for someone else and I just want to say that I am so fortunate that there was a hair and makeup artist out there who happened to be miraculously available given the fact that my wedding was less than three weeks away at the time. I write this review days after my big, exciting day and I would like you to just take a wild guess if you think Pacific Artistry has gotten back to me since. Wow! I hired Pacific Artistry to do hair and makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, officiant, flower girl, and mothers of the bride and groom. Communication was so easy throughout the entire process, and the day of the wedding went perfectly. Not only did Lacey and her team do incredible hair and makeup, they kept us all relaxed and laughing the morning of the wedding. It was like hanging out with old friends, and as an introvert, I don't say that lightly. They were so patient with us all, including my 4 year old flower girl who was not sure she wanted to get her hair done. She asked for an Elsa braid and was THRILLED with the result. They did a great job talking to each individual and asking what we wanted, then doing their magic. I've had airbrush makeup done in the past and hated it because it was so thick, I didn't look like me. I went with Pacific Artistry after a lot of searching. Since I wasn't paying for my girls to get their H&M done, PA was one of the cheapest options out there for them if they wanted to use it. Which one of my bridesmaids decided to do. They also had great prices for the bride and traveled, all things I was looking for. Kat was my stylist. She was great! I showed her one hairstyle that I liked a lot for the trial, and when she did it on me, I realized it wasn't my style. She worked with me to find something that would make me happy on my wedding day. I felt bad making her redo my hair, but she had a good attitude about it through the whole thing, and I came out of it feeling WONDERFUL. Kat is also really relaxed and easy to talk to, so even though you may be nervous, she makes you feel a little more relaxed both during the trial and the day of. read more

I was unsure if I should have it professionally done because my husband and I were eloping but decided that I should since we hired a photography to capture our special day. Best decision ever! Lacey was super helpful through the whole process including my very short timeline. I basically put down a deposit and had to go in for my trial the same week which was only 2 weeks prior to my wedding date. For my trial I sent pictures of hair and makeup ideas ahead of time. Lacey did exactly as I wanted and afterwards took notes and pictures to make sure it was exactly the same on my wedding day. She made sure to ask how I liked everything along the way and was very receptive when I told her I'd like something a little different/darker. The day of I was a little anxious because it was a 2 1/2 hour drive to my location and I was worried about traffic. Lacey showed up 2 minutes early and had me finished right on time! I'm really happy I decided to go with Pacific Artistry. I've never been one to make a big deal about my makeup but OMG the contouring she did was amazing and photographed so well! I believe they are recently under new ownership so I'd definitely not base your decision on whether or not to choose PA on older reviews. I want to start by saying that you are making a terrible mistake if you are looking for a good company to deal with. Lacey was by far the worst vendor I have ever dealt with. My fiance contacted her about 3 months prior to our wedding for hair and makeup. Lacey was responsive and friendly at first and we were convinced she would be great based on her prior reviews. We came to learn that she had recently bought this business from somebody else who had a great reputation. Fast forward to a few weeks before the wedding date. We learn that her business is not located in Bothell as her posting will claim, so my wife has to drive all the way from Seattle to Bonney Lake at 8am on a Sunday. This is not a huge deal, but we then learn less than a week prior to our wedding that she is charging us travel time to come up to Seattle for our wedding. Next demand she makes on the same day is that we pay to valet her car at the hotel where our reception will be ($12 regular parking vs $60 valet parking). This is because it is too hard to carry her stuff an extra 30 feet to the door. I am not yet upset, but I do find this a bit excessive of a demand to make on such short notice when we have such a major event going on. But wait there's more... It is now less than a week before our wedding and Lacey refuses to even answer any of my wife's questions until she pays in full. Every e-mail sent to Lacey was responded to with an invoice. So in order to get some clarification on our plans we went ahead and sent her the balance of our bill. She then finally responds stating that she cannot make it in time for our wedding and that we need to push back our entire schedule of events. This is obviously not going to happen so after all the back and forth I give Lacey a call. To make a long story short she says in her exact words "your timeline is not my problem" and that we signed a contract stating exactly what time everything will happen. I requested that she send me the contract and she did. All of our times were written as TBD. Unless I am somehow an idiot, TBD means "to be determined" and not "whenever Lacey wants". After sorting through the contract and letting Lacey know she was wrong to try and pull this crap on us, my wife and I just went ahead and requested our money back. Lacey complied and we went ahead and scrambled to find somebody new to do her hair and makeup at the last minute. We were lucky to find Salon Maison and they were a pleasure to do business with. Getting married can be an extremely stressful time with all of the planning and Lacey did nothing to help us out in our planning. We have literally zero other complaints about our day and everything went extremely well. Vendors are supposed to help make your day easier and Lacey was a terrible at the simple task of that. I suggest you look elsewhere for your hair or makeup as we did and save yourself from stress and anger. read more

My sister used this company for her hair and makeup for her engagement photos and loved them so I reccomended them to my best friend for her wedding day. The artist was an hour and a half late!! She had the bride wake up at 5:20 then didn't show up until 7am. There was more than one price dispute and the artist told each bridesmaid, including the bride the reasons why she couldn't make their hair look the way they wanted. The owner Shanelle is awesome, though, and did everyhing in her power to make the situation better including a reduced price for the bride and not charging one bridesmaid who hated her hair so much she took it down. My first meeting with Shanelle was great--we met at the trial run and she did a great job listening. I felt extremely comfortable and was so glad with the way it turned out. I decided to change my make-up and hair right before the wedding, but Shanelle was super calm and collected about it all and was so willing to work with me on what I wanted exactly. 3. My mom doesn't wear a lot of make-up and when she does she goes natural. Shanelle made my mom feel comfortable and look natural for the wedding and I know my mom was very impressed with the way things turned out. 4. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. I got so many compliments. Also I cannot say enough for the value of having the team come to me. Their prices are very reasonable considering the service they provide. Initially I wasn't going to get my hair professionally done, but a few weeks before the wedding, I changed my mind. Pacific Artistry had some of the best reviews, so I emailed Shanelle, and luckily, Kat Green was available for my wedding day! I would give 5 stars, but I have to admit that while Shanelle communicated with me immediately after my initial inquiry, right after I paid a deposit and was trying to schedule the trial appointment, Shanelle went radio silent, and Kat was difficult to reach. There seemed to be communication issues at every level, which caused some anxiety for me at first, given my tight timeline (partially my fault for waiting so long, but still...). But then, Kat arrived at my house for my trial day, just 2 days before the wedding, and she was fantastic! She is smart, fun, personable, and very sweet; just the kind of person you want to be hanging out with while you get your hair and makeup done. Kat is a true artist: creative, thoughtful, and experienced. Her work demonstrated to me, without a doubt, why we hire professionals for hair and makeup. I had a few ideas; she checked out my hair and pictures of my dress and got a sense of the look I was going for. She had great ideas of her own that complemented mine, and we ended up with a look that suited me more than I could have imagined! I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup on my wedding day, but most importantly, I loved the way Kat made me look like the best version of myself, and that it stayed all night! I booked Lacey and 3(?) of her girls to do my wedding hair and makeup on location. She also did our moms and my bridesmaids. We were all very happy with our hair and makeup. we even jumped in the pool at the end of the night and when I looked back at photos of me in the pool, my makeup was still flawless! I also went to bed without washing my face and woke up to some pretty good looking eye makeup, aside from a few smudges- to be expected! I found pacific artistry at the Seattle wedding show and ultimately ended up booking them over the others because Lacey was flexible with me and pretty communicative as we got our contract figured out. I booked her about 7 months before my wedding, which I found to be a good idea with any vendor. Much more time to work out the details and ask questions! I went in to my trial with a vague idea of what I wanted for hair and makeup. By the time the wedding came around I had changed my idea for makeup and they went with it, no problem and it turned out great! read more

I recently had a July Disney themed wedding in Seattle at the Grand Hyatt hotel. I got my hair and makeup done by Kat and she is really talented and amazing. She was about an hour late to the hotel but it wasn't her fault since Seattle during rush hour is just packed and traffic is bad as well as the fact that there was an accident that day. Despite the fact we were a tad off schedule, Kat was able to work quickly and efficiently in terms of getting my bridesmaids, maid of honor, my mother, and myself ready for the big day. Afterwards, looked exactly like a Disney Princess and I couldn't ask for anything more for my wedding. Kat also helped me get into my dress which had a corset back and was overall really professional and fun to talk to. I was the matron of honor in my sister's wedding. Pacific Artistry was booked to provide hair and makeup services to all of the women in the bridal party. Because of this, appointments were scheduled to begin 12 hours before the wedding. The artist never showed up and never called to explain why. We were unable to reach the owner for several hours and when we did she did not offer to send anyone else (despite the number of hours before the wedding), nor to pay for the bride to have her hair and makeup done at a competing salon. This caused a terrible start to my sister's wedding day and a scrambling bridal party. I would caution anyone considering Pacific Artistry for an important event. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I was incredibly disappointed with this business. My best friend put a deposit down to have both her bridesmaids hair and make-up, and her own, done for her wedding and the stylist was a no show. We had to scramble to find a professional to take care of her, and she was understandably distraught. Not to mention we bridesmaids were left on our own. It took several hours to even reach anyone in management, and they did not offer to send someone else, nor did they offer to pay for her having to receive services elsewhere. Any business that provides such poor service (in our case NO service) should be avoided. Book elsewhere. read more

Definitely not the experience I had hoped for in getting my hair/makeup done. As maid of honor in my best friends wedding, she chose Pacific Artistry & I decided to do it with her as I thought it'd be nice to just sit back & breathe on W-day while we enjoyed some girly pampering time. We scheduled our trial run (just us 2 out of 5 total actually getting various services), and planned for around 3 1/2 hours so we could (should) have plenty of time & then leave for her bachelorette. Traci was our stylist & as nice as she was, she arrived almost 30 minutes late-she got lost enroute & didn't contact us to let us know. So after her setting up we were down 45 minutes already. I am only going to review my experience as the Bride has her own story to tell. After she spent 1 hour 45 minutes on the Bride it was my turn. I showed pictures of what I was wanting to Traci-very thin cat eye liner, subtle makeup (it's the bride's day not mine) and my hair (with my clip in extensions-for more volume & length) under braided from crown to neck & then loose curls over the shoulder. It's pretty much the same way I wear my makeup everyday, but always nice to have someone do it for you right? Never having had airbrush makeup done before (the Bride has her own machine & swore by it) I went along with it as it's supposed to be extremely light, great natural coverage & long lasting. So based on all these pictures, what I ended up with was great foundation coverage through my t-zone & nothing on my cheeks. I had a muddy colored blush & contouring powder (wrong colors used on my tan olive skin), no highlighting, extremely thick heavy liner, my eyebrows were filled in & the shape completely changed from my natural dramatic arch to a rounded curve. I asked her if she wanted to place my extensions in since she was the one who would be working around them & she said no I should do it as it'd take her too long. Ok-just thought it'd be easier on her, but that's fine. So my hair that was supposed to be under braided left crown to right neck was a regular braid (she called it a fishtail-no that's not a fishtail) from left side of my neck to the right, gathered in a pony, pinned & then curled at the ends. The pins were the u-shaped ones-kept falling out all night & my makeup changed the look of me so much that my own mother didn't recognize me in a picture we took afterwards. All in all-my hair & makeup took 45 minutes from start to finish & I felt like I was slapped together. By the time she was finished with me, and went back to the Bride as her hair was falling out already (didn't listen to the bride about the bobby pins) the 3 1/2 hours was more than up. No time for adjustments or can we change this/that?...we were already 20 minutes behind schedule to leave so we just said bugger it. I didn't look like myself & know on any given day I do my own makeup better. Being that both myself & the bride were very unhappy she cancelled the contract. A month later the Bride gets emailed for my trial run fee-that was basically inferred as a wash when she cancelled the contract-she had already paid her $50 deposit on a $600 contract. So, as I'm not going to stiff the Bride the $85 trial run fee since it was for me, I paid it, very unhappily so, as those 45 minutes were nowhere near worth $85. Overall, I'd love to recommend this business, as I prefer supporting small businesses, but based on our experience, I just can't. Another stylist/artist might be better but as much as I liked Traci, she didn't do what I asked & her work was not to what I consider, basic standards. The wedding was last weekend & I did my own hair & makeup...my makeup looked exactly like the picture I was using for reference (amped up a bit for pictures of course) and I changed the way I did my hair as I did it myself but it still looked better than it did from the trial run. If nothing else-do a trial run & plan for ample amount of time to go back & fix things. read more

I'm giving Pacific Artistry 5 stars for making me look and feel like a real bride on my wedding day. I was hesitant to book after reading one of the reviews below, but after having worked with Lacey, I can't say I experienced anything negative in the least. Weddings are big productions and it's helpful when your vendors are organized. Lacey is organized. If you read the fine print, she's covered everything- it's on YOU to make sure that you're with the program. There was a little back and forth in scheduling my trial, but I knew it would be taken care of. My bridal party of 7 (including myself) needed hair and makeup by 12:30pm on my wedding day. Emma and Lindsay made it happen and kept up laughing the whole time. I had previously been styled for my trial with Lindsay just to get a taste of what the real day would look like. She did exactly what I asked for and on the day of my wedding, made just a few changes that gave me a more dramatic look. I loved it! I have mixed feelings about our services. I had bridal hair and makeup as well as 3 other people receiving services. The makeup looked pretty good.. but I think the makeup artist was fairly new. She couldn't do the exact look i was going for but she was suuuper nice and fun. I also don't think she used water proof makeup because it became streaky down my face. The hair person did my hair exactly as I'd like but it wouldn't hold. I don't feel like she believed me when i told her my hair has a hard time holding curls. She continued to reassure me it would hold curls. Less than hour after she left my curls fell out and we had to re curl my hair and re touch up my makeup about 5 times throughout the night. That was quite disappointing since it was my wedding. Overall I'm pleased with the services and how things looked for the most part but I think it was waayyyyy over priced for what we got. For that price, I expect top of the line experienced artists and not mediocre artists. read more

We recently had our wedding and my wife hired Pacific Artistry to do her hair and make-up. The morning of the wedding, they were a no show. After hours of waiting to hear from them, all my wife got was an excuse; no sense of urgency. This caused a tremendous amount of stress and heartache from my wife the morning of our wedding; no Bride should start her wedding day off like that. I researched a few different hair & makeup vendors for my wedding in Seattle and ended up going with PA both because it was super affordable (compared to others) to have them come to the venue and do both hair & makeup for all 6 of my maids, myself, and my mom AND they had stellar reviews. Shanelle, who owns the company, and one of her girls came right on time for both the trial run and the day-of and everything went perfectly. She totally got the "vintage glam" vibe of the wedding and selected hairstyles for everyone that were perfect for both the individual and the theme. Many of the girls came in with partial or no idea what they wanted and ended up with something we all loved. Some girls knew exactly what they wanted, and got that as well! The makeup was wonderful, very natural looking and enhancing of everyone's features without looking tacky or overdone. I was complimented all night on hair & makeup. Shanelle and her assistant are AMAZING and it was a blast to work with them, we bonded quickly and it felt like my best friend was over hanging out and doing my hair & makeup. I originally sought out Pacific Artistry to have makeup done on location for my wedding for myself and my bridesmaids. Her prices were quite reasonable, however, and we ended up doing hair + makeup for me, 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and 2 flower girls! The trial went wonderful - I loved the coverage of the airbrush makeup. We clicked instantly, laughing as if we were old friends. Shanelle did not disappoint me for our wedding makeup, either - everyone had natural looking makeup and hair, which turned out perfect in pictures. My only complaint was her showing up 2 hours late - she had originally set up the time schedule, and prior communication referenced the 6am arrival time. Although she said she confirmed for 8:00 arrival, after the wedding I verified this was incorrect. It was just an extra stress I didn't need on the day of the wedding, but we rolled with it ... and our makeup and hair looked wonderful! read more
