Daniel dyed my hair black instead of light brown and told me that my eyesight was the problem. Mistakes happen but it's how you correct them instead of him to fix my hair. He told me that I was the problem and it was my eyesight. Please see my hair in the picture. Everybody had that has seen it dark nobody thinks that this is dark blonde to light brown like requested

Samira cut my hair and she did an absolutely amazing job! I could finallly budget a higher priced haircut post medical school! She seemed very knowledgeable about hair and she cut it short but in a way the hair still fits into a ponytail. My hair hasn't looked this healthy in SO LONG. I would come back in a heart beat :) Thet start off with a scalp massage and then a lengthy hair wash and spend a lot of time cutting the hair and styling it!!

I absolutely loved this salon. I called day of, and they happened to have a cancellation. I was also on crutches at the time and they were very accommodating and the floor layout was easy to navigate. Pierre was my stylist and did an amazing job. I showed him reference photos of the cut I would like and he walked me through the whole process. I had old highlight so he had to blend bright ends and darker roots into even highlights and it came out amazing. I also appreciate that they don't overbook and you get the time and treatment you deserve. I will say the pricing is very high for the area but definitely worth it if you can afford to splurge. I am very picky about my hair and am willing to pay for quality and service. All stylists here are top notch and they have been in business for decades, so I highly recommend. It has been quite awhile since I last did a yelp review, but I think it is a good time to do so. I was in need of a dire haircut. The only problem is that I have had the same person (Luis from Hi-Tech in Coral Gables, FL) cut my hair since I was thirteen years old (now I am 32 so you see the longevity). He was the only one I trusted cutting my hair because I have naturally thick/wavy hair when not blow dried or flat ironed. I had a horrendous haircut in the past (bad memory when I was 11 or 12) at another salon in Coral Gables so I have always been weary of going to someone new. Apparently in the hair salon community, stylists tend to shy away from or get scared of cutting those with curly hair. It is a known thing according to Luis. Being a big fan of Yelp, I decided to see what salons were out there in Falls Church, VA that would be able to take me on. It was between Salon Virage and Salon Daniel. After reading the reviews for Salon Virage I was not totally sold. It seemed okay at best. I kept looking and found Salon Daniel. Sleek, chic, modern...those are the three words I would use to describe this salon. Upon entering I was greeted warmly by two ladies at the front. Even though I was late for my appointment, they were still kind and understanding. It felt a lot like the salon I would go to back home. I did not have too wait long. One thing I always loved about going to a salon...the magazines. I rarely read magazines anymore but it was always fun to skim through them and see what stars are wearing what or what beauty items are the next best thing. I am not all that much into glitz and glamour but feeling pampered every once in a while and kicking your feet up (not literally as I had to sit gracefully on the sofa there) feels fun and very much a blessing if not a gift. I was told to have the owner Daniel (who was extremely warm and inviting upon our first encounter) to take a look at my hair and see what he would be working with. I reluctantly allowed my braid to be undone by his assistant. I knew it had gotten long and I did have split ends. Plus I did not know how he would feel about cutting my hair. To my chagrin, he wasn't scared at all to do so. In fact, he himself said he had long curly hair once, so I knew at that moment I was in good hands. There was also a woman next to me who said she had been going to him since she was 13 actually, for 32 years exactly. I breathed a sigh of relief. I was then led to a chair to have my hair washed and deep conditioned. It was recommended I do the deep conditioning. Typically, I would have shied away from adding on anything else as I knew that would make the total cost go up, but my hair needed some TLC. The woman washed my hair made sure the temperature of the water was just right and even massaged my head and neck! It was amazing. She made sure the towel was properly draped around my neck and that I was comfortable overall. After the conditioning treatment was done, it was time for my haircut. I got to know Daniel a bit more and what a success story, not that I measure a person's worth by their accomplishments, but I was more so in awe of the hard work and steps he put in to get there, coming from Lebanon, starting off cutting and ironing his friends and family's hair, learning English, I was amazed. And then to come to learn he has styled some major icon's hair like Miss Universe 1991, Fran Drescher, the Aerosmith band, I felt so posh for two seconds even though I am the most basic person (in a good way lol)..but it felt neat to have my hair styled by someone so experienced and well-accomplished in the hair industry. I was very happy with the results. I cut it pretty short l which is what i planned for anyways, but it was worth it. I needed a refresh and a reset in more ways than one and sometimes you have to shed the old you to have a new you and start anew. I did not know what the total cost would be and I never expected to spend as much as I did (as I typically would pay $95-$115 back home in Miami) but it was worth the cost. I also did buy the Kerastase deep conditioning cream that was used on my hair so that increased the cost but I looked at it as a bucket-list kind of salon visit. After all I have been through the past couple of years, I deserved it. I definitely recommend Salon Daniel. The cost is rather steep, but it is worth it especially if you want excellent and near perfect results, not average ones.

Samira is amazing at cut and color. I'm super picky and have been trying to find someone in northern va since I moved from dc. 10/10 recommend.

I especially want to give a huge shoutout to Tiff, the manager, as well as my amazing artists Cathy and Karen. They are all incredibly sweet, welcoming, and talented. From the moment I walk in, I always feel comfortable and taken care of. I'm so at peace I often get sleepy in the pedicure chair . Cathy and Karen are both so talented and attentive to detail, and Cathy even stayed past closing so do my nails and toes for a pageant I was competing in!!!! After 6 months of consistently great experiences, I can confidently say I highly recommend Luxe Nail Lounge, 100/10 will be back again

Her technician didn't even arrive until after 4:00 PM. When we politely asked what was going on, the staff casually responded, "Oh don't worry, she's parking." Good to know punctuality is optional here. Unfortunately, timing was not the only issue. During my pedicure, the technician cut my right big toe with cuticle scissors badly enough that she had to stop and apply Neosporin. Not content with one casualty, she then took the grater to my second toe and shaved skin off there too. When I said "ouch" for the second time, my friend's technician gave me a scathing look as though I was somehow being unreasonable... right up until she saw the blood. But the grand finale? My technician forgot to turn off the foot tub, which overflowed directly into my Chanel shoes. I ultimately had to leave wearing the disposable flip-flops because my shoes were completely soaked. To management's credit, they did offer to "make it right" by finishing the service for free, which was a bold proposal considering the service itself was the problem. Respectfully, after the scissor injuries, involuntary toe sanding, and near drowning of my designer shoes, I declined. Unless your idea of relaxation is serving as an extra in a low-budget Saw sequel, I would strongly encourage you to learn from my experience and book literally anywhere else. The entire experience was the exact opposite of luxe. One star because Yelp won't allow zero.

PART 1 OF 2 8/20/26…read more"Oh Dear what can the matter be? Dear Dear what can the matter be?..." Well with an opening statement/question like that, there are several things wrong. Let's get right into it. The last time I was here, it happened to be on 9/1/2019 before the events of Covid-19. Tina was my Technician and she did a fantastic job except for the one mishap due to not listening to my request not to wax the genitals with soft honey wax. Nevertheless, more than enough time has passed and I figured I do what Mark Morrison sang about in one of his songs. The Return Of The Mac...oh wait? He didn't just say what I think he said did he? Nope? I guess I didn't, because this bother had about as much success as the Devil who went down to Georgia. I walked into the shop and it was like being in the Doldrums of The Phantom Tollbooth. The energy levels were less exciting than Milli Vanilli in their prime...."Girl you know it's true." Upon signing in, I was greeted by a woman in a white top shirt. Her greeting was half hearted, but not hostile. I was asked what would I like done today and I explained I would like a Mani/Pedi along with Full Legs and Arms Waxed. Ms. White (for name purposes) showed me to the Pedicure Spa Chair. The plastic barrier for the Spa Pedicure was put on before warm water was turned on. The water felt nice on my feet, but that was as much joy as I was going to get. Ms. White stood up and left the spa for a while as my feet were soaking. I did not know it, but obviously something was on her mind and I only realized this after I left this business. A woman dressed in all black walked over to me and said she would be taking over for Ms. White. Umm...okay?! Ms. Black sat down and started the preparations for my pedicure. Before my pedicure treatment comanced, Ms. White return to ask me several times what I wanted waxed. A woman sitting across from me heard Ms. White ask me this question several times. I can only imagine what thoughts were running through her head. Full legs and full arms is what I repeated yet again. It really isn't that hard, but evidently, it was for them. Ms. White then walked away again and another woman showed up. This new woman was dressed in all black too. I would come to know her as Ms. Volatile. Ms. Volatile. politely informed me she would be doing my waxing and that I should come with her. I was a little confused, because I was in the process of getting a pedicure. Then Ms. Volatile explained that products used for the pedicure would interfere with the wax. It was also explained the cost of full legs and arms would cost $200 for men. Drying my legs got up and followed Ms. Volatdumbest. TO BE CONTINUED....
