Booking at the salon as a first time client was super easy. I filled out a form and was contact via text. The scheduling staff was very helpful. Since then, I've booked appointments at the front desk when I'm in the salon on my way out -- also seamless! The salon itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. All of the products they use smell great and are good for you. The bathroom is especially cute, as pictured in the photos I have quickly snapped after a my last two cuts. I got matched with Reyna who is a gem. She really takes the time to listen to what I want out of my hair cuts and maintenance in between. Reyna is so fun to talk to and I have greatly appreciated her recommendations (K18, in particular) to help improve my hair health. She was not pushy at all when it came to purchasing the product at the salon, which I also appreciated! My hair has been exactly what I wanted each time I've gotten it cut. I look forward to coming in every few months & will continue to see Reyna, although I'm sure the other stylists are just as talented and kind!

After going myself, I can confidently say it was not worth it. We were quoted a price beforehand, but the final cost ended up being over $200. What made this even more frustrating was finding out that styling was an additional charge. I have never gotten a haircut where having your hair styled afterward was treated as an extra service. We were not expecting that, and it should have been made much clearer when we were given the initial pricing. On top of that, one of the hairstylists was about 30 minutes late, which threw off our entire schedule. When you're paying this much for a service, you expect better communication, professionalism, and time management. I went in hoping the reviews were right and that the price would be justified by the experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I paid well over $200 for an experience that simply did not match the price. If you're considering booking, make sure you ask for the full price including any styling or additional services before your appointment, because the price we were expecting was definitely not the price we ended up paying. When I called to book the appointment I explained to the front desk I needed to be paired with an advanced stylist because my hair is very difficult. I have cowlicks and thick, frizzy texture. I know this but I also know it's possible to get the haircut I want. I was assured that I would be with an "expert" of short haircuts and get what I wanted to achieve. When I sat in her chair for the first time (and last) I told her about the past 10 stylists I went to that butchered my hair and she reassured me she would give me an awesome haircut... NOT. I went to cosmetology school in NYC and worked under a celebrity stylist, I'm not sure what her credentials are but Jfc what a disaster. With all of my cowlicks my hair should have been washed, straightened then cut, not cut wet because my hair lays differently when it's dry and straightened (how I wear it). I also told her that I wanted it symmetrical on all sides so it should have been parted down the middle and crossed checked, not parted on the side while cutting. She then blowdried my hair and cut it again. Again, not using a flat iron when I have thick wavy texture. When I straightened my hair the next day and went through it, it was the most ridiculous haircut I've ever gotten, it made me laugh. The ends were cut in all different directions and in a zigzag pattern, there were long hairs all over the place and the left side was 2 inches longer than right. I had to cut off a bunch of hair to even it out. When I called them back to see if she correct this atrocity I was told that she would be able to see me the following week and I would be charged another $75 to "fix" what I did to my hair lmao when I had already paid $100...as if I would give more money to the person that destroyed my hair in the first place?! It took me two hours but I was able to give myself the haircut I wanted, no thanks to Salon Sen. Bad experience, won't return and I don't recommend.

I was looking for full-coverage highlights that would make me as blonde as possible, and that's exactly what I got. For context: I have very long and thick hair. Over the years of getting highlights, I've found that it's hit or miss whether a stylist/salon can give me the full-coverage look I want, since for my hair that takes a lot of time (like 4 or 5 hours) and requires a TON of product. Not every stylist is willing or able to go above the standard number of foils and devote that kind of time, which is totally understandable. But it makes me all the more grateful/impressed when I find a stylist like Nick who is willing to go above and beyond (he spent more than four hours on my hair) to achieve a perfect end result. I was also shocked by how affordable the price was. In my opinion, the quality of Nick's work was on par with some of the most expensive highlights I've ever gotten (and I usually end up paying way above base price since most salons up-charge based on the amount of product your hair requires). But even including tip, the total I paid here was remarkably affordable compared to other salons I've been to.
