I had an appt with Alysse in Nov. I think she was new and VERY inexperienced. She cut my hair unevenly and when I challenged her about the length she became very defensive. I told her to cut my bangs at the middle of my brow. She cut my bangs 1/2" from my hairline. Im now 4 weeks into growing my bangs and its a nightmare. Do not frequent this salon. read more

I came in for a bang trim, bringing a photo as a reference, but what I ended up with doesn't resemble it at all. Wonderful experience and hair cut. As someone with curly thick hair I am always super nervous about getting my hair cut. Ronnie however dod an excellent job and made sure she did exactly what I wanted all along the way. I got a gloss as well to help moisturize my hair in this cold wheater and it helped so much. My hair went from dead and dry to feeling healthy again. Ronnie constantly checked in with me about how I like my hair and even had me show her pictures of other hair that I liked and wanted mine to look like. I was also treated to a scalp massage and hand massage wi the the treatments. Overall, my hair turned out amazing and styled quite well. My only question/concern is I was charged for extra cutting time, which I was not aware of up until i paid. read more

Picture it. Chicago. Summer 2018. My hair stylist of 10 years moved out of state. My hair is my glory and I am so particular as to who gets near my dome. Hoping to find my next stylist, I booked a haircut at an upscale Lakeview salon...let's call it...Jobert Roffrey. That experience did not...go well. The stylist...I don't know what was going on with her but she totally butchered my hair and I actually asked to her to stop cutting my hair. It was that bad. As I ran out of that salon with my hands covering my head because the haircut was just so horrible and I looked crazy. as. hell, I needed someone to attempt to salvage my hair. Salon SEN had just recently opened near my home and I walked in. I was greeted by 2 gals behind the desk and then I burst into tears. I uncovered my head to show them the hack job I just got. Can anybody fix this?!?! I said through tears. My salvation came in the form of Salon SEN stylist, Ronnie Prince. Ronnie looked at my hair and said- I can help you. She took me back and gave me a scalp massage to calm down, gave me a little shoulder rub- and did what I thought was impossible- she salvaged the worst haircut of my life. No one other than Ronnie has touched my hair since. She now cuts my mom's hair, and I just referred a close friend to her and he said how wonderful she was. Had surgery and needed a hair wash and blow dry. The girl who did it was on her phone for the first ten minutes of my arrival but I will say, she was great once we got started. Gave a lovely scalp massage and hand massage as well. Just did some length off with layers but she took her time to do a nice scalp massage and wash. She was quick but not rushed and very thorough. Great new Salon. My stylist Audrey is fantastic, my mother's stylist Lauren is also great. The salon is clean, well ventilated(scents and chemicals often bother my mother in salons, so she particularly noted how great it was at salon sen). I'm always greeted very warmly and offered a drink while I wait. I have long hair, and have no idea what to do with it, so I rely on Audrey to tell me what would look best for me, and always leave happy with the hair cut she give me. read more
