They got back to me super quick and both Araceli and Rob made my anxiety go away instantly! Araceli explained we' need to go thru a few appointments to get my hair healthy again. Audrey is amazing. I was so happy for her opening her own salon! It is a cute space next to a florist and coffee shop, how perfect is that?? Street parking (metered parking) is easy to find right out front. I've been going to Audrey for the past 3 or so years for haircuts. I followed her from her previous employer because she is that awesome. She'll always ask what I want and knows exactly how to cut my hair. My coarse Asian hair has always been difficult to get cut the way I want so it was such a relief finding someone who knew how to manage it. My hair is super thick so she "thins" it out without using the thinning shears which I think is less damaging. It's layered perfectly so I can change my part if I felt like it and my hair would still look great. She is such a sweetheart and fun to talk to. Audrey has a stylist and colorist on her team as well if you need any coloring done. read more

Audrey has created a space filled with charm and coziness and an at home feeling...I have had some really terrific hairstylists over the years, but Audrey, by far, is THE BESTEST!! She talks to you (me) to figure out what your (my) needs are before she starts cutting..e.g.do I want to spend much time styling my hair? do I use products? how often do i want to get my hair cut?.etc.. I have been procrastinating on writing a review for my amazing stylist Audrey. What motivated me today is that I was out last night and stopped by someone who said, "you have the perfect haircut." And I realized she was right. I tell Audrey that she is the owner of my hair and I just wear it on my head for her - I have full trust in her to make it look amazing. And getting back to my discussion with the woman last night: (1) she said that her hair would never do what mine does but I know it would if she saw Audrey because - guess what - I used to say that; (2) it has been two months since my last haircut and it STILL looks amazing. It would not be hyperbole to call Audrey a genius. I would be negligent to mention that she is also a genuinely nice person and I look forward to chatting and catching up with her while I get my hair cut. read more

I recently followed Rob Reyes from Art & Science to the Bevy. Rob was, is, and will always be a master stylist, and I'm glad he's found a new home at the Bevy. The salon is cute, clean and takes covid protocols seriously. Everyone is friendly, and the prices are definitely fair. They also use R + Co products, which I love. I fell in love with a friend's haircut and asked her about it. She went on and on about how she followed Audrey from Evanston to her now, self owned salon on Irving Park. I went in on a Saturday morning at 10am and was out by 11am with a beautiful hair cut. 8 inches cut to be exact. Audrey is the real deal. She really listens to what you want and I can tell she really is passionate with what she does. She is super sweet and personable, too! read more

If you're looking for an amazing salon that gives killer haircuts, The Bevy is the place. Trust me! I would follow my girl, Audrey, literally anywhere and I did follow her from a previous salon. She is THAT good. Audrey is hilarious, gives great cuts, is extremely personable, and professional. Not only did I gain an amazing stylist, I gained a friend. Normally girls dread getting haircuts but I'm the opposite since meeting this gal. I actually look forward to getting my haircuts and actually schedule them on days I have special dates or events because my hair always looks so great upon walking out. I've been going to see her for years and I am beyond ecstatic that she finally opened her own salon. Esthetically, the salon is decorated adorably with a homey, eclectic vibe. I have full trust in Audrey to give me an amazing cut each and every time. I used to have hair down my back and made the big jump to go short when I first went to see her (ok well not short short but like ranging from ear length to shoulder). And I've never gone back to growing my hair out. I think that says enough about how good she is. When you first enter the salon, she will sit you down in the chair and ask what you're thinking of, whether you want a lot of layers, how many inches off, texture, etc. Then she'll bring you to the sink to wash you and then start cutting. She's not one of those stylists that you tell you only want an inch off and she takes 10 instead. Audrey will listen to what you actually want and then make it even better. And yes I know I'm gushing but this is an honest review. I've had enough terrible haircuts from Supercuts or Asian salons growing up that I will never go back to being cheap when it comes to haircuts. And yes I know Asians typically go to Asian salons thinking they know how to cut our hair texture better, but that's not true at all. It's completely the opposite. AUDREY IS THE BEST! I met Audrey when she did my hair for a wedding I was in about 5 years ago. I was so happy with my hair that I started going back to her for regular cuts as much as possible even though the location wasn't very convenient for me at the time. She listened to me obsess over getting a pixie cut for about two years and was always very patient and helpful about it. This is a great space with a great vibe, and Audrey is a genius! I followed her here from previous salons, and she is completely worth a slightly longer drive. Somehow, she cuts my hair so that even if I wait too long between cuts, my hair grows in without looking too shabby. Parking right on Irving Park Road is easy. I first started going to Seven back when she was at Art & Science. She has incredible facility with my short haircuts (asymmetrical chin- and shoulder-length bobs). My hair is very fine and straight. I've been to so many other stylists who left me with limp, oddly layered, boring hair. I don't know how she does it, but Seven transforms my lifeless mane into a chic, effortless, beautiful look that falls exactly how I like it. After Seven left A&S, I spent a couple years looking for someone with comparable skill but was left disappointed. I am so glad I finally hunted down her at The Bevy. She is a queen. read more
