Been going here for years and I love it and my hair! Every time I've tried a new salon, the stylist was always pushy, telling me what I should do with my hair. Jackie knows what she is doing, and she listens to where I want to go with my hair. ‍ read more

Jackie is quite simply the best! She's super fun to be around and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable while getting your hair done. Her studio is a cute open concept with lots of plants, and she is clearly taking sanitation very seriously which I'm sure we'll all appreciate. I've gotten 3 haircuts from her so far and have always been incredibly pleased with the style! Jackie listens to what you want, gives you her professional advice for your hair, and then makes you look amazing all while making you laugh and relax talking about anything. 11/10 will always recommend Jackie and she's the only Chicago stylist for me! read more

Honey Hive Salon - Love this balayage by Jackie! - Hair Stylists Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Jackie for President. Jackie forever! You will get a fantastic cut from Jackie because (a) she's super talented (b) she understands hair and the weird things yours wants to do and what kind of cut will work with it instead of against it (c) she's constantly nerding out watching videos of other stylists she admires (d) she's the b.e.s.t. I've been going to her for years and recommend her every chance I get. read more

Jackie has been doing my hair for the past 13 years. I only trust her with my hair! Her skills are unmeasurable, she will truly listen to what you want, and will assess her honest, professional, opinion. It is never boring in her chair, be prepared to laugh a lot. Her new salon is the most cutest place I've ever seen! It's extremely comfortable and the overall vibe is great. She genuinely cares about her clients needs. I've seen her 9 months pregnant a day before giving birth working on a color. If you want an amazing hair experience, you have to visit her. Throughout the years she has taken me from pink, to a pixie cut, platinum blonde, back to dark brown. I have ALWAYS loved every visit with her. Not only that, she has a professional photo area where she will take amazing photos of your hair, like literal headshots. read more

Where do I begin. Jackie has been been my stylist for 3 years and has been on many hair journeys with me. From burned, fried, unhealthy hair, to long luxurious locks. From blonde, to red, to dark, to back all over again. She provides services that truly work with your hair, and hair texture. As someone with what I considered corse curl hair, I always found it difficult to match with a stylist who understood my needs. For many years my hair wouldn't grow past my shoulders and had extreme breakage in the front. I also had multiple rounds of color that never looked glossy, healthy, or the goal I was looking for. After working with Jackie, shes rebuilt my hair to soft curls which I haven't had since I was a kid. My hair is long and almost halfway down my back. I also have shine and health. Thank you Jackie for your knowledge, skills, technique, and commitment to always making your clients feel like one in a million. read more

I am new to Chicago and overjoyed to have found such a great, affordable stylist so close to home. Jackie is creative and precise. I get rave reviews on my haircut and color every single time. An added bonus is that Jackie is a genuinely good human. A consummate professional with a fun personality to boot. You will not be disappointed! read more

Jackie is amazing! I have been going to Jackie for years (since before she opened up Bad Wolf and Honey Hive), and she has never failed to make my hair look its best. She's been with me through ombrés, balyages, and a million haircuts and trims. Most recently she has taken my naturally dark brown hair completely blonde! Somehow she knows the perfect shade to compliment my skin tone and has kept the integrity of my hair in the process. Visiting her salon is always a pleasure! She always has her clients comfort in mind; Jackie greets you with a parking pass, tea, and a cozy corner to read while you wait. If you want your hair to be transformed by the hair wizard herself, go visit Jackie at Honey Hive Salon! read more

I've been a client of Jackie's for about 6 years. I've gone to other stylists and I'll never make that mistake again. She listens to what you want done, will give her expert advice, and work with you to give you the best hair uniquely designed for you. I have naturally wavy hair and have had terrible experiences elsewhere, whether with the cut (triangle hair, frizzy hair after color), but Jackie leaves my hair better than before I came in and falling in the right places. Jackie is a pro, and loves what she does. She's constantly learning and taking in new information to improve clients hair and knowledge on how to care for their new do. I highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. read more

Jackie ROCKS. She always makes me feel comfortable and excited about my hair - checking in as we go and ensuring that my cut/color fits my life (and how often I can come in for touch-ups). Five + months after she first did it, I'm still getting compliments on my balayage. I love the space that she's created, it's urban and cool while still being completely warm and inviting. I cannot recommend going to Jackie enough. read more

Jackie is the BEST - we drifted apart when Charm moved from Damen (it wasn't you, it was me) and I made a point of finding her in her awesome new space on Ravenswood when I made the decision to transition to my new natural color (silvery grey) BUT I wanted to not look "old" and keep my purple streaks. I 100% trust her to take me on this hair trip. read more

Jackie is my girl. I will follow her forever. The first day I met her, 10 years ago, I was making a big change from my long hair to and edgy, chin length with a richer color. I have since experimented in every capacity without fear or regret because Jackie knows what she's doing. My wedding day wouldn't have been complete without her, and I receive compliments on my color, almost daily. Jackie's technique is stellar!! read more

I've been going to see Jackie for the past 2 years and she is an absolute delight! I so appreciate how accommodating she is and how she is able to tailor her skills to meet my needs as a client. It's been hard to find a stylist who is able to style short hair well -- I'm so lucky to have found Jackie! read more

Just checked out the salon after a friend discovered them during ravenswood art walk. The blowout was great. She was so nice and listened to what I wanted. Offered suggestions and went the extra mile. Cute space and I love the location. (Ask for parking passes if needed) Look forward to going back. read more

Jackie is great, I fully trust her with my hair and it always comes out beautiful.

Since I recently moved here from out of state I was very nervous about finding a new hair stylist, especially having short hair. After my first visit with her, I can honestly say that Jackie exceeded my expectations! She took time to ask about my wants with my cut and was very professional. I am thrilled with my cut and I look forward to many more visits at Honey Hive! read more

Jackie is the best!! I had never really gone to one stylist consistently until roughly 3 years ago when I wandered thru Jackie's door. My hair was damaged from years of bad haircuts and boxed coloring. She patiently got it back to back to looking and feeling healthy. She makes it a point to get to know her clients so she can make recommendations and gauge what she is doing to best fit that person. Her salon is in my neighborhood but i would totally follow Jackie no matter where she went!! read more

Jackie is fabulous. I have very straight guy-hair and a clipper just makes it all stand up. Jackie is great with scissors and I happy every time. She listens, is very accurate, and threads a nice balance of patience with get-me-our-quickly. I have recommended several friends to her and they've been very happy. read more
