I do not write reviews but I thought this one was necessary. I had made an 8:00 AM appointment to have my spark plugs and spark plug wires changed on my car. The technician who I had made the appointment with did not show up until 9:00 AM. I informed the technician that I would be waiting while he changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires. The technician stated that he would start working on my car but that his boss (the owner) told him that I could not wait; that I had to leave the car and that they would call me when it was done. When I inquired why I could not wait for the car, I was told that they did not want to feel rush. I stated that it was only going to take about an hour to do the job (if he would have been on time the car would have been done already) and therefore it did not make sense to leave (it takes about twenty minutes to get to home from there) just to come back. I was told that if I could not leave the car that they would not do the work. This made me wonder what exactly they were going to do to my car that they did not want me to see; after all, they were just changing the plugs and the wires. I decide not to leave my car because something just did not sound right. I am not saying that they would have done something wrong but them arguing with me about me waiting for my car sounded suspicious. read more

I went to this shop for a smog test on my 2002 ford windstar.I had replaced my battery, and the catalytic convertor.they advertise a pass or dont pay.they do not speak english, very well, and do not seem to understand, everything i was saying,the tech started to check my vehicle,he said that my computer was showing incomplete settings, and that i should drive the vehicle and bring it back next week. i did this and the second check he said the same thing, drive it and bring it back.after 100 miles and sevaral trips from soledad to salinas, i returned for the third time. this so called tech then said to check your vehicle i will charge you $20.00 i feel that they dont know what they are doing. i took my vehicle to clean air in monterey,. and they passed it on the first try.these people at salinas smog are chareging $90.00 an hour for their work, and i think they are mateurs. john calhoun. read more
