Salads aren't terribly exciting but the selection of ingredients is impressive and frankly it's your own fault if you have a bad salad because you are essentially the chef. It's a subway, chipotle type restaurant where you walk the line and choose what you want. The salads aren't inexpensive but the ingredients are fresh and it's a large salad. read more

I have enjoyed salata for years and I'm glad that they have one near me. When I went in the line moved quickly. I usually get the southwestern tortilla wrap with salata mix, corn, black beans, artichoke, tomatoes etc. , In addition, I tried their macadamia nut cookie and had the pearberry mixed with the hibiscus tea which was refreshing and delicious. The wrap comes with a side of pita chips as well. The wrap is fresh and full of flavor, I'll definitely be back. The pricing is decent and there are plenty of places to park. Came in an hour before closing on a Thursday. First time here, service was meh...no greetings, didn't even asked to see how the restaurant worked. Didn't even offer menu if it was available. Anyways I guess it was a custom salad, I choose what I wanted and got a bread. I asked for two multigrain croissants but only had one, I didn't mind paying an extra for the croissants if I had too. After a yummy experience at a Fort Worth location, I decided to check out the location closer to my house. I also heard Deion Sanders is a fab of this location. Everything was fresh and delicious but the real winner was the plum cinnamon tea. I added some Splenda and had the perfect drink. In fact, that meal had me thinking about that tea for days. This location has quickly become my go to spot for a nutritional post workout meal. Being ~3 doors away from CycleBar makes it very convenient place to stop and obtain some clean and healthy food to refuel my body. The 'customizable' concept used here is the same one that seems to be dominating the 'fast casual' dining space (most know it from Chipotle however it was initiated by Subway). In the case of Salata it starts with picking a lettuce mix. From there one adds as many of the 50 different toppings (other veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds, etc) as desired. Next are the house-made salad dressings; there are 10 to choose from (sampling is allowed). One of the last steps is choosing a protein (if desired). In addition to great salads and wraps, Salata offers a few home-made soups (I recommend the Tomato Basil). After this, one pays at the register so they can begin to enjoy a tasty and nutritional meal. On most of my visits I go with a wrap; starting with a mixed greens as the base. I add a ton of toppings (veggies) to it followed by Salata's ginger-lime dressing. Lastly it's placed into a Thai-Ginger tortilla wrap (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it). From the serving area to the tables this location is always clean; actually very clean. The servers are always friendly, patient and very accommodating. If you value your health, do NOT come here. I ordered online and chose specifically my ingredients due to allergies. When i got home with my wrap and bit into it, i noticed they had used the wrong lettuce(i ordered spinash, and they used romaine lettuce instead) which therefore I was not able to consume. I reached out to file a complaint, and only got a half ass response from Randy Havelka Jr. I wasted time, money(food and gas to drive there) just to not be able to eat my food. It's all fresh, all delicious and all so worth it. If I'm feeling under the weather, this is a go to. If im just needing some fresh fast veggies, also my go to. They have yet to disappoint me in both their service and quality of food. And I dont know about you, but those little crossiant rolls are heavenly. My daughter loves going to the Salata downtown before shows at the Bass, and so was really excited to find out this location had opened in Southlake. It was my first visit, so I got a large salad, while she got a salad wrap. The freshness and variety is definitely a cut above the competition, and it carries to the flavors. The service is very friendly and the décor is bright and appropriate to a health-conscious venue. I'm not a big fan of flavored tea (unless you count "sweet" as a flavor, so I'm not wild about those - but it's entirely fitting to the style. I also added seafood and crab to my salad, and had a hard time choosing the protein and had a hard time choosing as the chicken and salmon also looked really good. Overall, a really good salad, and a place you can eat out at, feel satisfied (not stuffed) and walk away feeling good about your choice. Glad to have a location nearby. read more

OMG I need to stop ordering Salata! I Love this place. This is my go to salad buffet pick up type of restaurant. It's always so fresh and the veggies and lettuce don't have this funny medicine or chemical taste like some of the places. I always get the herb roasted chicken and it is amazing. It's moist and seasoned not fatty. Now I'm a little weird in the fact that I mix both the jalapeño avocado and ranch dressings together. Trust me it's delicious! I have turned a few people onto this combination and it is fire. Now I don't get the croutons in my salad, I prefer to get them on the side so that I can dash my salad with crunchy croutons at my leisure. I love the multigrain croissant. In fact I've never seen a multigrain croissant anywhere in the world. But this one is delicious. Again this is one of my favorite places and it's a healthy place. I can't believe it. It is a salad that someone else makes? I met some friends here and didn't know quite what to expect. Basically you order a bowl size and then build your salad from that point. Meats, including seafood, are an additional cost. I found my salad to have too much dressing. My salad was delicious. However I did a general calorie count afterwards and my salad was not necessarily healthy. You want to be conscious about what you are choosing and at what portion size they are putting it in the salad. The employees were nice. The restaurant was clean. Once you pick put the size you want you can put as many toppings on as you would like, I love this idea! I probably added around ten toppings, I upgraded with a protein of shrimp (+$4.00) and was happy to see it wasn't one small scoop of shrip but a decent amount, I likely received 10-15 shrimp in my bowl, for us, the $4 upcharge was worth it. I have found my go-to salad spot in Dallas. Not only are the salads made well, but the staff is polite, quick, and keeps everything orderly. This is a fast casual restaurant, where you choose your own salad base, fixings, and proteins - they mix it all up and viola you have a ready-to-eat salad. You'd be surprised how many other businesses have similar models, and manage to mess it up. The sizes for regular and side salads are great, the toppings are always fresh and are kept in clean containers. Necessary backstory: despite being almost 30, I have the palate of an 8yr old. That being said, I am new to the salad game and can only eat them when there is a lot of fruit involved. After a horribly long day I work I stopped @ Salata to get a salad because I felt gross and needed something healthy before bed. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and add kale & cabbage to my typical spinach order only to later feel disappointed over a lack of strawberries & apples (I didn't realize it was half an hour until close...) and suddenly didn't look forward to my bowl of leaves. A moment later the kindest young woman approached the table with a cup of apples & strawberries that she had cut in the back for me. Naturally I was incredibly moved over this as most places have horrendous customer service these days (I work in the food industry so I feel authorized to make such a claim ).
