Don't get me wrong, I love Salata. I love the concept, the fresh ingredients and the range of choices, but my experience at this location was poor. I went in during lunch time and got a small bowl of salad with chicken, but the girl put literally 4 cubes of chicken. I counted. Even when we got to the counter, the girl at the counter couldn't see the meat so she asked if it was vegetarian! Anyway, when I brought the salad to the table and started working on it, I only saw 4 pieces of chicken. I have been to Salata before and other locations are very generous with their portions. Needless to say, I will go to another location for salad. If they are franchised, then the owner needs to seriously improve quality. Will not be going to this location again. read more

It's my second time at this chain, but first time at this location. It was clean looking and bright, not a ton of seating, but the place is on the med/small size. I love the concept! A salad bar, without the nasty. It's not self serve so that keeps their costs down I'm sure. You basically choose your greens type, then your order moves down the row, while you choose all types of toppings. At the end, you have the options of adding soup on the side and a bread product (crutons or other bread) and a drink selection. All in all, it's rather on the expensive side for a salad, but the food is well sized and worth it due to the toppings. This can be a pretty healthy option if you go easy on the high calorie toppings....one calorie trap Is all the dressing.....I just choose the balsamic vinegar no oil, and I'm good to go and have saved myself about 200 to 300 calories!! The food is always excellent but I tried ordering online for the first time and they did mess up the order and forgot an add on item. I went and left feedback and then received an email shortly after. I received the best customer service and Jaime Ramsey made my day by reaching out to me by phone and by email. They really cared when I didn't expect to hear back from anyone. I will still continue to go to Salata as they do take care of their customers on top of great food. They have recently added turkey as a meat option and while I appreciate the change, the turkey isn't very tasteful (maybe that's the point - it is rabbit food, right?). The herb vinaigrette is my favorite dressing and from all of the toppings you could create just about any type of salad. They even have some gluten-free options. I usually frequent this location often,because it's on my way home but, I don't think I will anymore . Unless, something is done about their employee, Cameron. Cameron is extremely rude. She didn't want serve me. She made a comment saying "I want to work at one those restaurants were you can say whatever the f*** you want to the customers." I like to come here for lunch about once or twice a month when I feel like being healthy. It's right off of 110 in a small strip center with plenty of parking. They have a huge selection of salads or wraps for you to choose from (dressing, toppings, nuts, fruits, etc..), and they create them for you without everyone having to touch the tongs and creating a mess. Everything is fresh from the lettuce to the croutons. They even toss the salad at the end to ensure that the dressing is evenly distributed! It's a huge plus for me since I can't seem to do that on my own. However, it's a bit pricey - $10 for a bowl of salad or a wrap, but surprisingly enough it's filling in a good way. I've been to other salad places like Sweet Tomatoes but find that their selection is limited and not as fresh since they have a bigger menu. Since Salata specializes only in salads and wraps, they gotta get it right every time to be successful. Lunch time can be pretty busy. I usually try to get there before 11:30 to ensure that the line is short and there is a table to sit. Otherwise, you may have a hard time finding a table. read more

Okay, this place is great! I have been to 2 locations and one was better than the other, however the service at both locations is horrible. I love the food and convenience at Salata and have never had a problem at any other location. However the manager on duty, Leni, at this particular location was less than helpful. The customer in front of me was having an issue with his bread she took my piece to give to him. I then asked if it was mine, simply out of curiosity and she snapped at me and told me it was in fact mine but I did NOT need to worry about it. Love it. For $8, I get a delicious salad with TONS of different toppings. Everything is so fresh and vibrant. Almost all the toppings are included in the price except for specialty items like avocado. But it does include nuts, fruits, dried fruits, sesame sticks, etc... soooo many things! =D Oh and you get a piece of delicious bread too. Went here for the first time today. I was really impressed! The line was long, but moved quickly. We had our salads in less than 10 minutes. I was amazed by the many items they had to choose from for your salad and by the time I was finished, I ended up with one of the best salads I've ever eaten. Every bite had a different taste to it because every bite was a little different from the last. The ingredients were all fresh and tasty. I had 3 kinds of greens, bean sprouts, sun dried tomatoes, celery, broccoli, green and black olives, alfalfa sprouts, avocado, chicken, bacon, 2 cheeses, artichoke hearts, and more things that I can't remember and it was all good. Right now I'm trying to avoid carbs so this would be a place I could eat every other day. I'd just make different salads with the many choices you have to put in your bowl. But I have to admit, if I weren't watching what I eat, I'd probably only eat here once or twice a month. Soups, salads and wraps are the only menu items and I'd prefer places with more options when I'm not dieting. I was disappointed that they only offer one cup size for drinks and it was rather small. I had to get up to refill my drink 3 times. They also offer only plastic forks and spoons. Since I didn't have a knife, I tried to cut an artichoke heart with the side of my fork. I work in the area, and it's hard to find quick, healthy options for lunch. This place is perfect for the stated descriptions. My favorite is their vegetarian wrap packed with freshest ingredients and loaded with chickpeas and/or black beans. I LOVE that they offer an immensely broad selection of vegetables, nuts, beans and dressings. Subway seems like a joke compared to this place. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey for what it is. Aside from that, it's a go-to if you're willing to spend an extra couple bucks for variety and freshness. Enjoy! read more

Great salads you get to pick what you want in your salads and the fix it for you. I hate salad bars where everybody touches the food, Salata does it for you so kids never touch the food. Then they toss your salad in really great dressings and give it to you all ready to go. I am very picky about my dressings and I loved the Herb Vinaigrette, it was great. One of the best salad places on this side of Houston. I like it because you aren't limited to the number of toppings you can get. It is a bit expensive for a salad but it's worth it. Good ambiance and it's pretty packed at noon through the week. For better luck you should try to get there at 11:30 to beat the lunch rush.
