If you go to this establishment during lunchtime, you will be paying 15 dollars for lettuce. When you begin an order you get a big bowl of salad but when you ask for your sides you are given one scoop from a spoon the same size as a tablespoon. Depending on what the side is (e.g chopped eggs), half the spoon will be caked in the egg and each scoop isn't even a full table spoon. So picture a big bowl of salad with so few sides you can put them all in your mouth in one bite. When you see the portions you are getting you will be tempted to ask for another scoop. This is when the staff will begin to give you attitude. When I first saw I received a countable amount of black olives (11 for the record) I asked for more, which resulted in a begrudging slap of more olives. Here comes the eggs, I didn't even receive a full scoop, so again I asked for more, and again another begrudging slap. I asked for bacon bits and when asked if I wanted anything else I contemplated if I wanted to be annoying or to just accept the abysmal amount IL got, in the 0.5 seconds it took to contemplate this the annoyed staff member just decided for me that I didn't need anymore and moved on to another person. This attitude, this disrespect ended my thoughts and helped me decide that yes I did want more. I am not sure if the other Salata's operate like this but I don't see the point in paying 15 bucks for a bowl of lettuce and a couple of scoops of sides. If I can count at a glance the amount of olives you're giving me you are not giving me enough, and when I ask for more I shouldn't be receiving any amount of attitude. If you go to this location during lunchtime do not expect to get your money's worth. Personally, I won't be returning at all. read more

This place is a great lunch spot! Right off the freeway, the parking is kind of tight and the lines are line. But they go pretty fast and you get a great filling salad. its like chipotle for salad. The dressings are delicious and you and even to go it. I got the seafood combo (shrimp and salmon) and lemon ginger vinaigrette . yumm! Im really excited bc its just a freeway down from work. Stopped by this location before work. Salata has never failed to impressed me. There's tons of options for you to choose from. A large variety of healthy tea and delicious lemonade. The chocolate chips cookies are to die for. The service is great. However, there's a small language barrier at this location. The lady on the line had a hard time understanding me when I asked for extra tortilla on the side. I must admit that it's pricey for being a fast food restaurant, but the quality makes it's worth it. I love Salata, it's always been one of my favorite places to eat. I am new to the area and figured I would try this location. I would encourage you to drive a little further to a different location. The location is convenient and clean. HOWEVER, i got double chicken and it was so dry, I thought I was going to tear my esophagus. I had to chug my entire drink after a couple of bites. Been here several times. They always have my to-go order ready (not always accurate, but close enough) considering I only get a 30-minute lunch break. When I arrived back at work to eat the salad and opened the container, there was a hair in it. I immediately phoned the manager, who was nice about it. He informed me I could come back in and they would remake it, free of charge. I wasn't comfortable with eating from that same batch of ingredients, so he allowed me to get a refund of $12. read more

This place is just ok.. The lady's who work the salad bar are very nice and the service is pretty quick. The place is very clean and not crowded at all at dinner time. The falafel is dry and bland..I don't recommend. The salmon is my favorite but I've also had most of the chickens and they are all good. The servings are huge! The small salad would probably be filling enough..considering the generous portions for all the toppings. I used to visit this location and stopped after the horrible customer service I received tike and time again. Employees were rude and the dining room was dirty. I began visiting the location on Westheimer. Speaking with a girlfriend about my bad experience at this location, she too told me it was the worst customer service she's encountered for a while in a food establishment, and her family and her have stopped going there. I went back a few months later and what a pleasant surprise! New manager courteous employees clean dining area. I forget the manager's name, but it's a Hispanic man. I swear this place is a hidden gem that needs to be found by everyone. ASAP. For $8 you are given a bowl double the size of your head to fill up with your choice of whatever veggies you can think of. Because if you can think of it, they probably have it in their salad bar. You also get your choice of dressing (chipotle ranch is amazing) and a breadstick with your salad. For an extra few bucks you can make your salad fancier by adding artichokes, avocado, or a protein. They have chicken, salmon, tofu, among other options. I love their wraps. The thing to remember is if you don't like a lot of different ingredients you may want to ask for extra of what you do want. The ingredients are always fresh. I really like their balsamic dressing with the pesto chicken in my wrap. You will need to get there close to 11:00 to beat the lines for lunch. Always clean and comfortable environment. Whenever I'm craving a good salad, the first place that comes to mind is Salata. Their salads are amazing- so simple, so fresh, yet so ON POINT! I come to this location pretty often and each time I do, my experience is beyond great and of course my salad is always uber delicious! There is just no room whatsoever to NOT like Salata, unless salads just aren't your thing. When getting your salad prepped they first start you off with a variety of lettuce choices- romaine hearts, a spring mix, spinach, kale, and their own "Salata" mix. They have tons of veggies that you can load up on as well, which comes after you select your lettuce. Once that's done, you pick your protein. Chicken options include pesto chicken, spicy chipotle chicken, herb marinated chicken and Asian BBQ chicken- I've tried every one of these and ALL are very good and seasoned just right. My absolute fav is the pesto chicken! You can also choose from 4 seafood choices- herb marinated shrimp, baked salmon, herb marinated krabmeat, and a seafood mix. Lately, I've been on the seafood mix real tough and I'm totally addicted! FYI, they have vegan options too- baked tofu, falafel, and quinoa. My favorite part of the whole salad prep process here is selecting my dressing. Salata's dressings are hands down the best I've ever had! I honestly wish they sold it in stores. I'm a Ranch dressing kinda girl, but when I set foot in Salata, I'm ALL about their Fresh Herb Vinaigrette. Man! Sooooo good. So good that it took me the longest to even consider trying the other dressings, but I eventually did. Not a fan of their Ranch dressing though, but a few of the others I've tried were good. If you are indecisive, they will let you sample them before making your final choice. I almost always get a cup of soup to go with my salad and just to give you the heads up, the Tomato Basil soup is THE TRUTH- trust me! I have yet to try their tortilla soup and was absolutely NOT impressed with their broccoli soup.They have a decent bread selection and although I try to pass it up when I go, that multi grain roll always be callin' my name and I usually always answer. Definitely a bonus to the meal. Outside of having a salad, their salad wraps are super legit too! They have many tortilla options and pair your wrap with their tasty pita chips. I normally hit this location in the evenings when I'm on my way home from working out, and I'm always in and out because it's not as busy. I've seen it get super packed during the lunch hour though, so I stay away during that time. But any other time, I'm always down for a Salata salad. If you are not up on this spot, do yourself a favor and step your salad game up- like ASAP. Because once you try Salata, no other salad will even compare! read more

Fresh salad or wrap if you prefer, Salata has it going on. Walk up and start your salad ingredient selections....there are more than enough veggies, fruits, nuts, meats, dairy to select. What I liked was the variety of dressings that you can add. The herb vinaigrette is great. Get a slice of whole grain bread and a cookie if you are feeling risky and then get situated for a great lunch. Price - excellent at $8/bowl. $3 extra if you add a meat or fish to your salad. If you like salad, and you're good at putting ingredients together to taste good, this is the place for you. They have to many salad toppings to even think about. When you first walk in you get into line. You then walk down the "salad bar" and tell the servers which items you want on your salad. They have about 4 different types of greens, 8 proteins, and innumerable other toppings such as fruit and nuts. I've yet to leave here full, but I think it's because I typically only get 4 toppings. They give very little of each item unless you keep asking for more. Everything is really fresh, and clean. The entire dining area, floor included, is kept very clean. They'll let you taste the dressing before mixing it into your salad. You get to choose a bread, and can add a cup of soup for fairly cheap. When I'm wanting to eat clean, this is my go to. It can get pretty busy at lunch, and parking is difficult to find. read more

Having used the Salata on Westheimer west of the Beltway for a year or so, following an office move I have to say this place is a complete disappointment. Firstly no drive up window. Usually this isn't an issue but the parking lot here absolutely sucks. No parking whatsoever and people randomly parked all over the drive lanes. I had to drive down the street and park in the verge. When I went in I was confronted by the line. I have already pre paid mine so is there a sign to show you where to go for pick up orders (considering there's no window)? Nope. I get to the top of the line and say I have already prepaid my salad. The woman behind the counter had the attention span of an amoeba and couldn't remember (or bother to listen to) my name. Lastly, the piece de resistance, the same woman that served me didn't bother putting a napkin and a fork in the bag so when I got back to the office I couldn't eat my lunch.... Just absolutely useless service. As I mentioned I used the Westheimer location almost every day for the last year. I'm never wasting my time again by going to this one again though. read more

I went to the location on Westheimer East of the Beltway for over a year a couple of times a week whether that be picking up an oder through the drive thru or going inside to ear with Coworkers. This new location is beyond subpar. The parking lot is a mess. The line is unbelievable. There are not enough attendees working behind the counter to get the line moving. It was just ridiculous...i would rather drive 20 minutes to the westheimer location than deal with that again. Aside from that the food was really good so of you don't mind small parking lots and lines that take way too long than enjoy. read more

The restaurant is clean and the food is always fresh! They are able to quickly get people their food when there is a line out the door. Salata is awesome, and everyone knows it! Warning, the line will be out the door if you get here after 11:30 AM on a weekday, but deal with it...it's worth it for some fresh and healthy food! I've gone with both the salad and the wrap route, both were equally delicious, although I think you get significantly more food with the salad. I highly recommend asking for your dressing on the side, otherwise your salad will get doused, but I think that's the case at most restaurants! They have a huge selection of fresh ingredients, if you can think of it, it's probably in their salad bar. You can also add bread or a bowl of soup if you like. There's not too much else to say, if you don't feel like waiting, there's a Subway next door, but Salata always looks way more appetizing to me :) read more

Great concept, but for the love of all that is healthy, please warn guests that there is a small fortune in salad dressing dumped on the salads. My lunch probably went from 350 calories to 1300. Salata is great. My first time there I had the mixed greens with my favorite toppings, and they do have all the toppings plus grilled salmon which was freshly prepared. There full portions are enough for two people or two servings which is great for the price. Healthy eating is "in" full blast and Salata is a definite favorite. Went in with a free salad coupon worth upto $12. I added meat and artichokes. The lady said the artichokes doesn't come with the salad. So what...you just put the artichoke in my salad. How is that not part of the salad. I went to get my mom a salad since she had knee surgery and doesn't leave the house only for doctors appointments. So they said I needed to pay for the salad. I told her the coupon doesn't say one per person. So I should get it...she said you need it signed by a manager and a bunch of other excuses. She asked me where I got it from. I told her a friend gave it. I don't know how that has anything to do with the coupon. The entire staff was arrogant. The lady saw me holding the card and she was speaking in Spanish to the other ladies that I had another coupon. Don't think I didn't notice that petty nonsense. I'm not deaf. Won't be going back to this location. They don't even put enough dressing. I went back to ask for more and the other lady asked does she have to pay, again in Spanish not English. I felt like they were doing me a favor eating at their location. I don't want to be treated like I am some free loader. I came in with a coupon that was from Salatas and it had their location listed. They gave me the run around. I told her ok...so what. She looked at me, I said fine...I won't get it and walked away. I am DOING YOU A FAVOR. I am the customer and I wouldn't try to get something free without reading the small print. I have worked in retail in college so I know how to treat a customer with common courtesy. Now you can throw out the salad...I'm sure that is how the company wants their money to go down the drain. I don't think a $12 salad is probably doable for lunch everyday, but, I'm certainly considering it! If you are in the mood for salad, Salata MUST be your stop! I ordered for pick up nline, which was super easy, and was immediately greeted when I walked in. Everyone was friendly and I was taken care of in less than a minute! There was not a single piece of wilted lettuce or grisly chicken, every single ingredient was of maximum freshness!
