So far our family loves this place. We've only tried the seasonal apple pecan salad, asian salad, cobb and cesear but they've all been great. The ingredients are all very fresh and each salad sounds amazing so I'm sure we'll try them all. I've been pleasantly surprised with the speed of the service each time we've been here. We also customized the salads a few times and the orders were right each time. Lastly, these salads are actually pretty big. Usually when someone tells me they can't eat their whole salad I assume they don't eat very much, but I'd believe it with these. You could easily pay $10 for a salad half this size at a restaurant. My only compliant is I'd love if they had hot coffee all day. read more

I was lucky enough to sample one of the Salads during their employee training before they opened. I had the Caprese Salad that came in a huge container. Tons of fresh romaine and arugula, heirloom tomatoes, delicious mozzarella chunks and an tangy Balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The secret weapons were the grilled red onions and the basil pesto. Very flavorful and the salad was big. I also got to sample the Black Cherry Boylan Soda which I loved. The prices are really good and the salads are exceptional quality. I will be back often, since there are ten salads on the menu. read more

The sub itself was good, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. No complaints there. But the pricing? Absolutely ridiculous. I checked the Firehouse Subs website afterward, and the large Veggie Sub is listed at $13.25 online, but mine rang up at $14.49 before tax. Even more frustrating, the Veggie Sub is only 25 cents cheaper than several large subs with meat, including the Spicy Cajun Chicken, Jamaican Jerk Turkey, and Hook & Ladder. How does that make sense? This is a sandwich with vegetables, cheese, and condiments. You are already using those same vegetables on other subs. So are we really saying the actual meat protein on those other sandwiches is only worth 25 cents more? Because that is what the pricing suggests. As a vegetarian customer, this feels wildly out of touch. I do not mind paying for good food, but charging almost the same price for a veggie sandwich as a meat-loaded sub feels like price gouging.
