Honestly I thought the sushi was pretty good. The white fish sashimi was the star of the buffet. Good diversity of options, but the sushi, sashimi, and seafood are really where it's at. They also had mu er, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Food items were all fresh. Service was professional and efficient. We went during weekday lunch- it was busier than we thought it would be, so clearly they must be doing something right here. Lunch prices are very good considering they offer sashimi and sushi. Standard Asian buffet vibes, but nice background music and clean facilities. Bathroom was ok to decent in terms of cleanliness and functionality.

We went here for lunch and wanted to try their buffet style items. The place wasn't busy on a week day lunch. Food they served was fresh. Their serving staff were helpful and friendly. The place was well decorated and lighting was subtle. Not bright for your eyes. The food is reasonably priced. We hope to be back soon.

This place is just average. Nothing bad about it but I wouldn't go out of my way to pick this place again. I'm glad for the experience to try a sushi buffet but would rather go to an all you can eat sushi place. The place had a ton of tables and everything looked very clean. The food sits out which means it just isn't hot enough. They have a good selection of side dishes but felt the sushi selection was small. It also did not help that some labels by the sushi were missing. The staff came by often to take the empty plates. At the beginning though they did not explain the process so we just assumed there was no menu and everyone got the buffet.

Sakura Sushi & Grill Seafood Buffet in North Brunswick, NJ is a nice sushi buffet location. They have all types of sushi and sashimi, as well as a nice selection of soups, lo mein, chicken, French Fries, desserts, almost everything you could think of. The sushi chefs keep the sushi flowing, and the atmosphere is very pretty. It's a great option for families with choosy kids. There is a surcharge for wasted food, so it's best not to overfill your plate, just take what you'd like, then get some more. I definitely enjoyed our meal and look forward to going back.

Was passing through heading to Princeton NJ and spotted this restaurant on the way. Food was great and everyone was friendly with smiles. Of course another place where I could not stop myself from eating and I lived every minute. Please come by and enjoy their foods. Super yummy

Sakura has become the go-to buffet when visiting family in that area and everyone has a different food craving. Sakura offers a variety of food from shellfish, baked fish, fried fish, sushi, sashimi, cold salads, chinese food, american food, fried foods, steamed foods, soups, lobster claws, pig feet, chicken feet, wontons, dumplings shumai and salads etc... so if you have a group that can't agree on a specific cuisine, Sakura may be a solid option to satisfy the whole group. We have been here a few times and I have not really experienced any dishes that have been sitting for long. Of course, we do NOT go at the end of the day to finish the scraps. They are constantly refreshing the supply during busy times. The meats are usually tender. The mayonaise shrimp is delicious. The sushi is the best buffet sushi i have experienced. If you are expecting gourmet chef cooked meals this may not be for you, its a buffet. The basic packaged ice cream selections are the best of the dessert section. The pastries are boxed and usually mediocre at best. The staff works hard and is always on top of cleaning your table and filling your drinks. The make an effort to make a dessert plate with a candle for birthday celebrations. They have a nice selection for kids such as nuggets, fries, pizza and mac & cheese but it's pricey for a children's appetite. Definitely return with a group.

I'd consider this a pretty good Asian lunch buffet in the area. I've been a few times now and service is consistent every time, food always taste fresh, they have a great selection of AYCE sushi and ambiance is quite nice for a buffet. I think just based off their sushi selection alone, the price is worth it. They have a variety of options for pescatarians and even a decent selection for any vegetarians as well. I'd recommend!

Very much enjoyed the lunch buffet on a Friday ! Very clean and sanitized inside. Also friendly and helpful staff. To eat form the buffet you just wear a mask and gloves (gloves provided). It literally smelled like they just cleaned which is a plus. Food was tasty for the most part. Most things that I find as my favorite in other places like the cream cheese fried wontons and chicken and broccoli were lacking a bit here. But I can understand since not much people coming, food just sits out. Their sushi on the other hand, great fresh flavor and it melted like butter. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm happy they didn't disappoint.

Food was bland and unappetizing, the sushi was better but really hit or miss. Definitely not coming back here again to pay $30 for mid food.

I was here for dinner one evening with my parents, and I thought it was a pretty great experience…read moreoverall. All you can eat sushi is nice once in a while, and lots of the food choices, whether sushi or kitchen choices, were all well-prepared and tasty. Parking is street-only, perhaps to be expected in this part of New Brunswick. Ambiance inside is really nice and sleek, dark theme and modern looking. Service is on point as well, with the waitstaff coming around frequently to check on us and take additional orders. It was some time ago, but I recall a few of the teppanyaki skewers being really good, in addition to some of the specialty sushi rolls. I usually can use a break between times of getting all you can eat sushi, but I would come back here in the future.

While I understand that, the restaurant was nowhere near full, and we were the only people waiting, which felt unnecessary. As for the meal, the food was just average, and some of the sushi didn't taste particularly fresh. The table service was minimal, dishes were dropped off without much check-in, and they seemed far more attentive to larger groups. We had to flag someone down just to get hot sauce. Overall, an okay experience, but likely won't be back.

That sadly was the best part of the night. We ordered; 8 AYCE and 2 ordered ala carte. My wife's vegetarian and doesn't eat much and my mom doesn't eat raw sushi and ordered the teriyaki shrimp. 1. The service is horrible. We waited 20mins to get our first appetizers. The waitress just dropped off plates and didn't explain what they were. My mom noticed the table next to us ordered what she got and a few minutes later, the waitress asked if she received her entree, which she replied no, and then she went to the table next to us and grabbed their plate and brought it back to the kitchen. We assume they reheated and replated the dish because it was way overcooked. 2. Long wait. Some items didn't arrived after over an hour and we asked about them multiple times. As we were ordering our 2nd round, we just reordered them. We got our waters refilled often but they never checked in to see if we were receiving our food or if we wanted to order more. Like they didn't ask one time. 3. Lost in translation. My parents are immigrants, so I am pretty understanding but the waitress didn't understand much of what I was saying and when I asked for extra ginger while pointing at it she looked very confused. I also asked her what a few items were when she brought them, and she didn't respond. 4. 10% coupon: don't bother trying to use the 10% off coupon from their own website. When we asked for the check, I showed her the coupon and she looked confused like I made it up and I let her know it was from their website under "coupons". She went to the back to ask about it and returned to say it was for online orders only. I mentioned that the coupon doesn't have any fine print except it can't be used with any other offers, and she didn't try to help at all which was frustrating. At the end of the day, it was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. The food quality was ok except for my mom getting a reheated meal. But the service was terrible. It sucks to have to wait so long for food and things coming out randomly and my son and wife waiting over an hour for their items while others are pretty much done. Save yourself the aggravation and try something else.

The restaurant has a futuristic feel. You sit at your own booth while food travels around on a conveyor belt, ready to be picked up. I believe it was around $36 per person for all you can eat, and drinks were included, although refills were not. You can order up to 5 food items every 5 minutes, and your order is delivered directly to your table by either a little car or a robot, how cool is that?! Each party gets 90 minutes to dine. Dessert was a separate cost for the ice cream, which I believe was around $2, but there were also cakes traveling on the belt that were included in the all you can eat price, and they were tasty! The entire experience was so much fun and interesting, and the food was really good too! My personal favorites were the hibachi steak and shrimp tempura sushi. I can't wait to go back! This is definitely a place worth your time and money!
