More concerning, the nail technician did not appear to use sanitary tools. When I politely asked whether the clippers had been cleaned, I was met with an attitude instead of reassurance. Shortly after, another staff member spoke rudely in their language, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Cleanliness and professionalism are non-negotiable in a nail salon, and unfortunately this experience did not meet those standards. When I washed my hands in lobby sink, no soap provided. One bottle had water in it- no soap, no towels for hand drying. I am very disappointed and would appreciate a credit or partial refund if possible.

When I questioned it, he tried saying the color wasn't a "summer season" color and she should do something lighter & that dark colors are for the winter season. She of course can't understand their gibberish and was too scared to speak up. If I'm the one paying and she picked a specific color, then do exactly that! I don't want someone's opinion on what they think she should get. On top of that, don't argue with me and try to persuade me into agreeing you did the right thing.

I love this place, I've always loved coming to Island Nail. The staff are so friendly, from the nail technicians to the desk staff and everyone in between. Today our visit was with Kay and Bella, they were amazing and did an excellent job with our pedicures. They also continuously checked in with us to make sure we were having a great experience. Island Nail is also doing a great job of offering fun promotions that fit the season, their valentine promo is so cute. I also love their drinks, the sweet tea is my favorite. Overall, I love this place and the people. I don't go anywhere else

I used to love coming to this nail salon. The previous owners were always so kind, warm, and caring…read more-- they made every visit feel personal, and their work was top-notch. I've been coming here for years and have spent thousands of dollars because it was always a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, ever since new management took over, things just haven't been the same. The atmosphere feels different, the quality has gone downhill, and that welcoming spirit the old owners had is gone. On my last visit, I went with my son. He got a manicure and pedicure, and I had a fill and pedicure. I tipped generously, as I always do. But as we were leaving -- literally as we were pulling out of the parking lot -- one of the employees ran outside, knocked on my car window, and said they "forgot to charge" me $15. I immediately paid it, but honestly, it left a sour taste in my mouth. After all the years of loyalty and the money I've spent here, that moment felt unprofessional and disappointing. Mistakes happen, but how you treat your customers matters. Sadly, I think it's time for me to find a new salon -- one that values people the way this one used to.

I loved this place and they always did amazing on my nails, but I can't go back anymore after my horrible experience and the horrible response afterward. Last time I went, Kathy did my nails. The whole time I felt like she was very judgy about what I was requesting for nail designs and such. Despite this, I still went back because I was raised to believe in second chances and I really did enjoy how my nails looked afterward. I went in to get nails done for my birthday and everything was great, however everything went south very fast. I am already very anxious because this was my first time ever getting my nails done alone, so this just added to the experience. The lady doing my nails had stuff on her finger I assumed were scabs. I brushed this off originally because I thought it'd be okay- but when she was painting my nails, I'd noticed a SCAB fell off ON MY NAIL. She originally was gonna paint over it until I commented about it. She thought I was talking about the polish, but when I pointed to the scab she just laughed it off and took it off the brush and wiped it onto the back of the machine that dries your polish. Everything was awful after that. I felt so anxious to talk and tried to just sit through it all. I didn't know what to say! This was my first time ever getting my nails done alone! The response from the manager was awful too. I called in to speak with her about my experience after I got home. It was a lot of back and forth about who, what, where, when, why. The only thing she offered was to give the tip (yes- I still tipped!) back. I will never be going back here again. This was such a horrible and unhygienic experience, and the response back from the manager really made my decision to never come back.
