Disappointing Experience I came in only to have gel polish removed from my hands and toes and ended up being charged $50, which felt extremely excessive for the service provided. More concerning, the nail technician did not appear to use sanitary tools. When I politely asked whether the clippers had been cleaned, I was met with an attitude instead of reassurance. Shortly after, another staff member spoke rudely in their language, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Cleanliness and professionalism are non-negotiable in a nail salon, and unfortunately this experience did not meet those standards. When I washed my hands in lobby sink, no soap provided. One bottle had water in it- no soap, no towels for hand drying. I am very disappointed and would appreciate a credit or partial refund if possible. read more

Very irritated with the nail tech. My 12 year old daughter specified a certain color and I had walked outside once she was situated. I came back in and noticed the color was not what she asked for. She wanted a glittery turquoise & was given a very light colored mint green with no glitter. When I questioned it, he tried saying the color wasn't a "summer season" color and she should do something lighter & that dark colors are for the winter season. She of course can't understand their gibberish and was too scared to speak up. If I'm the one paying and she picked a specific color, then do exactly that! I hadn't been to Bella's in a while and didn't feel like driving to my regular shop in Cypress, so decided to give them another try. More than a year ago my toenails had become very thin. So I stopped having paint applied, thinking they needed natural sunlight. Today, I realized what really caused the thin nails. A Nail Drill. Google it. Drills should not be used on natural nails. It can actually cause serious nail bed damage. One of my toes still hurts. It's going to take a year to grow out. Then the tech at Bella used a brush across the top of my foot and toes. With shoes on this morning, they feel like they are scraped, burning a bit. Lesson learned; Don't let any shop use a drill on your natural nails. and two, If you find a good shop, it's worth the drive. Also, I swear she used cooking oil on my legs, liberally. Why pay for the Pearl treatment if they are using Crisco. The name I was given was Cathy. I always tip well, in cash, and feel a fool for paying for a nail damaging pedicure. Called to get an appointment with Steven and Hannah, as I usually did. They told me to come in now. Steven wasn't even finished with my nails, when another lady walked in and he started rushing. He finally said he had to go do her nails because she had an appointment, I had an appointment too!! He left my nails in a mess. Hannah tried to fix some of them but couldn't get them fixed either because she was rushing to go help the other lady as well! The thing that MOST upsets me now, is the fact that I said nothing. I paid my bill, and still left them a good tip... even though it was the worst nail job I had had in a long time. But Steven had the nerve to ask my friend why I have not been there recently, and she told him my nails were horrible and I was not coming back. She told him the whole story, and I had an appointment also. He turned around and told her " oh she's just too picky"! I'm sorry, but how about we have some professionalism and not talk about one customer to another customer STEVEN! I don't call it being picky at all! I know I didn't walk IN to Bella's with a crooked nail on one finger, and all the other nails shaped in different shapes and thickness! So customers can decide for themselves by my review and the pictures I'm submitting here. Look at the shape of each of my nails, and how the ring finger is literally shaped noticeably crooked! How about instead of saying I'm picky, you take some blame here for your crappy work that I was still charged full price , and never made a scene in the salon about it ! Setup an appointment with Tammy for a Perm for Medium Body. When I scheduled my appointment I asked what the cost was and if it included the hair cut and was told yes. Tammy finished my Perm but the curls were not medium curl at all. I went to check out and was told that my hair cut was extra. Mind you I don't have long hair. My hair is only to my shoulders. I don't get my nails done too often but I have been here a couple different times (as well as the nail salon in Hempstead) and this was by far the best experience. THEY SCAMMED ME. I went to get my acrylic nails taken off and had called before to ask the price, I was told it was going to be $12, I got them taken off paid with my credit card and left. A couple of days later I looked on my card and had been charged $22!! Recently Moved from Magnolia area. Found this shop 8 mos ago. The new owners seem conscientious and professional. Tina and Rose have done great jobs on dipping nails and pedicures. Tammy-(owner) has full-service hair salon in the shop, and has actually done cuts & highlights for our whole family. She is efficient and does a great job, with all our varied hair style needs. I went to Bella Nails today and had a horrible experience. - To start, they were very obviously trying to avoid turning the AC on. Keep in mind it feels like 84 degrees today. They had the front and back doors open, I guess to try and facilitate air flow through the center of the salon, but those of us sitting in the chairs were very hot especially wearing masks. - Absolutely none of the tools used on me were new, or even sanitized. I'm not just talking about the metal tools. Nope. Even the disposable nail file was very obviously previously used. The same nail file used on my toes, was later used to puncture the water bag and then put back in her cart. I'm sure to be used on the next person who comes in... - My pedicure was supposed to come with a 3 minute massage, each leg. The technician literally rubbed lotion on her hands, applied it to my leg, and wrapped me in hot towels. What massage? - My technician was on her phone constantly. Calling, sending texts, etc. It's obvious that this is common and acceptable behavior as she was not even trying to be discrete about it. She did it right in front of me. I understand sometimes family emergencies can happen; Excuse yourself to the back to take care of that. There's no reason to stop a client's service to respond to a text. - Another technician was wearing headphone and therefore was unable to hear when his client was talking to him and/or answer her questions. - (This is minor) Paid $5 to add hot wax treatment to the pedicure, just for the wax to sit in the bag not actually be applied to the foot. When the attached photo was taken this client's legs and feet were being wrapped in a towel, so the employee had no intention of fixing the wax that was just sitting in the bag. Basically this client paid $5 to put her foot in a plastic bag, as her feet were not in the wax at all. Overall, every employee seemed to be unmotivated and doing the bare minimum. For what I paid, I can go to my usual salon in Cypress and enjoy a professional and sanitary environment, where the technicians give me their undivided attention, and I get a 15 minute massage per leg. My 14 year old daughter had saved money to get powder nails done. My husband took her and I arrived about 15 minutes after they started her nails. When I arrived 3 of her fingers were bleeding. One so badly it was dripping blood. When I ask what happened I was told she had really bad hang nails. The bleeding never stopped and the owner continued on as if nothing was happening. She placed the powder over dripping blood nails. One nail bled for an hour after we got home and even bled thru a band-aid. N-E-V-E-R again. We got in and there was 3 lady's working. I told them I wanted a new powder color, they gave me the book to look at. Can't say I was too impressed with the color selection. I just went with red. The lady did a pretty good job at my nails, my only complaint was being too aggressive with the nail file. I got a paper cut on the side of my nail from it. Other than that. This place has HORRIBLE customer service. They are racist and rude. My sister went in to get a broken nail fixed and they insisted that she pay first when they did not ask anyone else in the salon to pay before receiving their service. My sister has never walked out on a nail appointment and always tips generously. The fact that they assumed she would is INFURIATING and it was pretty obvious why. They also called her previous nail design ugly and said they do not do "ugly" nails out there. What professional treats a customer that way?! SHAME ON BELLA NAILS. AVOID THIS NAIL SALON. Only putting 5 stars so my review will be seen, this place is a joke. I've only had one technician who actually knew what she was doing one time. So I decided to go back! Friday got a refill, Saturday nails popped off. Yes! 1 day later...they are clearly not experienced with powder sets as the nails are chunky, different lengths and shapes. Just a bad job. I just went back to get my nails fixed (that came off within 24 hours) and it took seriously 20-30 minutes for her to fix 1 nail...like are you joking. Even when I said "how much longer?" She continued to get up and walk away for other things or stop her work to gossip with co - workers. Never any apology or coupon of anything for having to come back a day after I got my nails. This nail salon is big with a lot of nail techs. But that worked against them. There is too much hustle and bustle going on. My daughter and I had appts, but apparently appts don't matter bc we still had to wait 20 min. There was a very annoying teenage girl waiting on her mom. She was loud and sassy. And I have NOTHING against teenage girls, as I was there, TRYING, to enjoy a quiet and relaxing Saturday morning with my 15 yo teenage daughter. My daughter was even displeased with the vibe, annoying customers and bossy nail techs. We did the cheapest and fastest pedi so we could leave ASAP. We will definitely be returning to Waller Nail Salon where it is quiet with nice staff. To end on a positive note...we both liked the nail color we chose. read more

I went in for a pedicure and 8 hours later I have a toe infection because the lady that did my toes cut a chunk of my skin off the side thinking it was an ingrown toenail which I have NEVER had in my life. So I went in the next morning complaining and all of the nail ladies kept yelling at me telling me that my toe looked like that before I got my pedicure which is not true because I have proof I took pictures while I was sitting in the chair of my toes before she started and then took pictures after that night when my toe started oozing and throbbing in pain. Very unprofessional and I recommend going somewhere else other than Bella's they are not worth your nails getting cut or infected. read more

Asked for plain white tip acrylics, there was glitter on the brush she was using and now there is glitter in my nails. I mentioned it and she said she would buff it off, after i left, there was still glitter in my nails. I was told it would be 30$ before getting them and when I paid, the receipt said 35$, when I mentioned that, she just kind of apologized and laughed it off, but never offered to fix it. The lady who did my toes was very nice although she pulled on my pinky toe and ripped of some of my toenail. I then started bleeding. Failure to notice anything wrong until she sprayed an alcohol on my toes. My toes then began to burn where the cuticle was and the part I was bleeding. Went here with my mom on Dec 28th, solely because of the reviews on here. They were nice when we walked in but neither of us got the ladies mentioned in other reviews. My mom's nails were white tip solar and they looked nice if quite more oval shape then she wanted. She adjusted that at home. My experience was a whole other story. I had a pedicure and a full set of solar with polish. Well, the pedicurist naturally talked me into a more expensive pedicure, but it had been a while and I really wanted my heels done and a good massage. She dug into my toe cuticles and both big toes are still sore. She barely filed them at all, just sort of slapped the file at them. And I have a ridge on one big toe that is always there and usually they smooth that out. She didn't touch it. The sugar scrub she recommended was freezing and lasted less than a minute each leg and the massage...well, there was no real massage to speak of. She concentrated on the bottom of my feet and that's about it. Then when I got home, in the shower that evening I felt rough patches on both heels where she hadn't smoothed them. Disappointed!! Now to the nails: the lady walked up, no smile, barely a whisper of a hello. I felt like to her there was not a person at the end of the hands she was working on. I explained in great detail how I wanted my nails to look and she nodded away, obviously wanting me to hush. When she finished filing, I had to ask her to reshape them, then when that was done I had to ask her to refile the tops because they were so lumpy. And she was pissy about it. I like my nails short and very natural looking. It's not hard to do I know, because I came home after buying polish and files at the store and refiled the tops and ends of my nails and repolished them as well and they looked great. I will NOT be going back to this place! The three stars are for my mom's nails. I didn't give them any. read more

(Sakura) However, before I went I called to make sure it was okay if I still went since they had about 30 minutes until their closing time. Made it there and asked for a mani and pedi. The lady who did my pedicure was super sweet!! However, the ladies that did my mani kept switching on me. One of the ladies cut my finger to the point where it bled and I didn't say anything. Then, another lady (I believe it was the owner) started rushing me while I was deciding on a color to the point where she started screaming at me to hurry up! I ignored her and the lady who had been taking care of my nails was like "well we are supposed to be closing already,but we're taking care of you instead" It was absolutely ridiculous due to the fact that I had called prior to make sure it was okay. i received a pedicure there on 8/2/2012. the nail lady, didn't do a good job, she had to do several touch ups. while sitting at the dryers to have the polish dry on my toes, she drops a bottle of white nail polish on the floor. the polish bottle broke and splattered my cloths, shoes, shirt, and bare legs. the nail lady tries to "clean" my legs, and clothes with the acetone polish remover all over my clothes. the clothes are already ruined, and i have a lady rubbing at me with chemicals. i told the lady that the clothes were already going to the trash, as the nail polish wouldn't come out. i go to pay, and not really expecting to be charged, was asked how much i was going to tip so thatmy card was only swiped once. i called this afternoon to speak to a manager or the owner, only to be told that they are never in the shop and to leave my complaint with the person on the phone. i asked to leave my name and number for one of them to call me back and was told that she was too busy and was hung up on. read more
