I love this place, I've always loved coming to Island Nail. The staff are so friendly, from the nail technicians to the desk staff and everyone in between. Today our visit was with Kay and Bella, they were amazing and did an excellent job with our pedicures. They also continuously checked in with us to make sure we were having a great experience. I moved to cypress recently and have been on the hunt for a nail place close to me and I tried this one because it was close by and my sister in law recommended it based on what she she's on her neighborhood Facebook group and I was not disappointed. I was taken care of as soon as I got there, got offered a drink but I picked up coffee brfry so I didn't need anything but I loved that they still asked. They brought me the color options for me to review and didn't rush me to pick a color. Annie did my nails (builder gel with shellac) and Victor did my pedicure (get away pedi with shellac) and they both did an amazing job. They didn't rush but they worked on everything at a gre pace, attention to detail and didn't hurt me once. It was a great experience. My builder gel looks so nice and natural! Kim did an amazing job with my manicure nail art builder gel that day. She's knowledgeable and patience. She did the design based on the picture I found on the internet. Recreated with the shape I liked and made sure to find the correct color palate that matches with my design and at the same time made sure I'm happy with it. She took her time as I had sensitive nails during the process and ensure the quality of her work. Overall, I'm happy I found this place. The vibe here is always crowded with complimentary drinks of choice. My only pet peeve is for them to cover the drink with a cap or something as the chemical product from the manicure and pedicure is all over the place. I had my first visit to this lounge in search for a local nail salon. This set I requested was builder gel with extensions glued on. While I really loved how my nails turned out and the service provided, I had this set 8 days and have 3 broken nails (I already went back and got one nail repaired). On 2 nails, there is separation from the builder gel and the nail extension. I don't think I will return to get builder gel, but maybe for a regular or gel manicure I would. read more

By some miracle, my beau's daughter and I were able to get a walk-in service on a Sunday morning with a very short wait. They open at 11am on Sundays, and by 11:05, multiple seats were already filled and nail techs were quickly at work. I stuck with a basic mani-pedi. I can't remember the pricing (and I forgot to snap photos to share on their Yelp page), but I do remember it being average pricing, and they have a punch-card system. Also, since it was my first visit, the cashier gave me a discount. Unfortunately, my beau's daughter didn't get the same (no discount and wasn't offered a punch card - and she actually lives in the area). I didn't catch that, otherwise I would have told her. Instead, I gave her my punch card to use for her next visit. Unfortch, my basic mani didn't last a full week. Perhaps it was an older polish. But to end on a positive note, they have a cute cocktail menu (and non-alcohol drinks, including Vietnamese coffee). read more

This is the only place I will go to in Cypress. Affordable and you don't feel upcharged. Service is excellent! Nails are done with precision and they last! I always feel relaxed and like I had great service. There have been times when I don't need to return for 4 weeks for a refill when nails from other places in the past only last me 2 weeks. I like the great customer service at this place and the friendly nail techs. My tips are: 1. Avoid coming on Fridays after work. They will try to rush on your nails, not clean under your nails nor remove any cuticles. 2. Even if you share a photo of the design you want, make sure that you give them instructions on how long you want them and how you want the details to look. That way they do what you asked for versus what they think is best for you or quicker and then you're stuck with what the end result is. 3. Drinks are complimentary!!!
