I have become a regular now. My daughter and I spontaneously tried the salon and we instantly knew we'd become regulars. As soon as we walked in, Vivian treated us like we were family. She let us know the specials, helped us choose our color and made sure we were good throughout our service. Not only is the customer service good but the nail service is quality. All of that helped me make the decision to know I was coming back for sure. All the times I have been here, I have never had the same technician. I've always gotten a different one because I like to see the work of many so I can choose "my person." Well, they are all my people. I haven't come across one technician that I didn't like or had to ask to do the work over. I normally get a deluxe pedicure and an overlay or deluxe manicure. Again, no complaints ever. They offer other beauty services too but I haven't tried them yet...the key word is "yet." Oh and the ambience...it's definitely giving spa. It's so relaxing. I would like to start off by saying all the employees are really nice and it was warm and welcoming. The downside is I've had way better pedicures from other places, especially where I get my nails done. It's really unfortunate I have to write this, but what I witnessed here was shocking. A mom was just trying to enjoy her pedicure and manicure while holding her baby like any mom would. The manager told her she couldn't hold her own baby during the service, then actually took the baby out of her arms and set him in his car seat on the floor. The mom, stuck with her feet in the pedicure bowl and one hand being worked on, was completely helpless. She even asked, "Can I please have him back, or at least buckle him in? He's going to fall out!" The baby couldn't have been older than maybe 15 months and was clearly upset. Instead of showing compassion, the manager later came back and asked if "someone could take care of him" because he was disturbing customers. Even my nail tech looked visibly upset watching all this happen, but it was clear she had to keep her head down to "maintain the peace" with her boss. As a mom myself, this was heartbreaking to see. You go to a nail salon to relax, but watching a mother shamed and a baby treated with such disregard was the exact opposite of relaxing. I won't be returning. read more

9.18.23 Tracy and Courtney are fantastic. Courtney does my nails and Tracy did my pedicure. My daughter gets her nails done by Courtney as well. Both of us have been going to Courtney for years to get our nails done. She does a great job on our hands. She knows what we like and don't like. We both followed her from a different nail salon to Ocean Nail. My daughter told me I needed to try Tracy for my pedicure. So I did. She was great. Her leg massage was perfect. Not to soft and not painful. This nail spa is about 35-40 minutes away from me now. I have been trying different nail spas closer to me but Courtney is still the best. read more

My 1st time at this salon due to my dog getting groomed and I had to get my nails done. Not my regular salon. I live in west Houston. I went to get a manicure and to get the previous nail polish removed. I was given choice to pick which manicure - I picked the Ocean Breeze manicure $40. When I was done I paid my $40 + tip & was leaving when I'm called back by the mgmt. that I need to pay $10 more because they had to take the nail polish off. I said ok. Then when I got home I looked at the Ocean Breeze service that I paid for. Now that's where the problem comes in - I was NOT given half the service that I should have with that package. Tina even asked me if I wanted the hot towel and I had said yes but did wonder why is she asking when she is suppose too. So NO SUGAR SCRUB, NO 8 min massage maybe 30 seconds, NO MASK & definitely NO PARAFFIN WAX. BUT was charged $40 + $10. Worst service ever I have received. They cheated me. read more

This is now my favorite nail salon. Wendy Tran is very creative and skilled at both manicures and pedicures. She suggests colors and products that end up looking great, and I always get compliments on her work. I especially love the French unicorn nails and the Deep Ocean pedicure. She has a great memory for my likes and dislikes and makes suggestions in line with my personality and job. She never cuts my time short and is always fun to speak with. Do not come to this place whatsoever. I stopped coming here once before because 1) their technicians can not do nails or pedicure and 2) they do nothing but lie. My daughter was just set on coming here, but she learned a valuable lesson today. Everything that looks pretty not good for you. I told the staff not to separate me nor my daughter because certain ones can't do nails and certain ones lie. Once we sit down to do the pedicure they pulled my daughter to another location. I called her on FaceTime and i heard the dude telling her he's going to do something that looks natural. Her nails look a hot mess and he tried to say she agree which she didn't. I confronted him and he continued to try to put words in her mouth. I told them I'm not paying for that mess and to take it off. In my opinion they don't respect black customers at all. They do whatever to your nails and expect payment. I've seen them do this before to other black customers. They dare not try it with white customers. I have been coming to this nail salon for several years with Hannah (who is amazing). In fact, I was told that I am recognized as a frequent customer. This particular day I needed to get in/out due to a tight schedule and Hannah was not available. I asked for a shellac manicure when scheduling my appointment. This appointment turned out to be the worst nail experience I have ever had! The nail tech Tammie, cut my finger causing me to bleed on my finger, she later informed that the color I chose had ran out and wouldn't except that I wanted plain white (likely because the color I chose would cost extra) so she decided to paint my nails a different color for an up charge. She dropped the glitter powder on my jeans and rubbed the powder into my jeans in an attempt to clean them. She also attempted to clean them with acetone, but I refused as the jeans were already ruined and I was leaving to go somewhere and didn't want to smell like chemicals. I asked her several times to paint the edges of my nails, which she rushed and still didn't complete. I was asked to pay for all services (my manicure despite being cut and my jeans being ruined and the polish despite the job being subpar) except for the up charge on the glitter powder. I noticed the supervisors who said she would communicate my message to the manager and get back with me, but I was never contacted. The lack of customer service and accountability is evident in their failed attempts to recover me as a loyal customer. If there were a way to give a 0 out of 5, I would post that based off of this experience alone. read more

Came here for my daughters dance. They charged more for long nails then cut them way too short. The polish was not neat at all. She had shellac polish all over her fingers when we left and she was cut twice on her fingers and once on her toes. She asked the technician to make her nails match and he told her she was giving her a hard time. To make it worse a nail from my brand new full set popped off 4 days after. One of my new go-to nail salons here in Cypress w/ good complementary drinks! Service is pretty good and their massages are great too! The owner would walk around the salon every couple minutes, making sure that their customers are having good experiences here and that the employees are making them feel good and relaxed. When she checked our area where me and my aunt were getting our pedis, she also asked if our nail techs who were conversing in Vietnamese to each other were talking as long as they didn't talk bad about us since you know there are some nail techs out there who would talk about their customers and offend some of them. So far for my second visit here to get a mani-pedi combo before graduation, I'll give 4 stars to the service due to my techs repeatedly spilling some stuff such as the scrub, polish, etc. and that whoever doing my mani said stuff about my small hands, but luckily it wasn't derogatory though.
