Another great visit for lunch. They have a new special "all you can eat" menu, served for lunch, Monday - Thursday available! Options included sushi rolls, nagiri, or for +$20, premier sashimi. Everyone is always so wonderful and friendly and the seafood is always fresh! I love stopping in!

A little frustrated getting reservation and calling them. Staff at Aulani recommended them. Used Google maps to locate, the phone number is incorrect but address is. I went to web site to make reservation but only allowed spot for 5 so I made that. Tried to call multiple times over two days but not their fault. Ambiance This location is next to Foodland. It is colorful and very clean. Service Xu our server very attentive made some recommendations. The staff wear black uniforms I like that. Rate 5 Beer Iced cold beer served in chilled glass. Yes. Rate 5 Salmon Belly Osaka Roll Chef specialty. Spicy salmon, seared salmon belly with 'special sauce' it was special. Rate 5 Chicken Bento Box It was ok. Rate 3.5 I will return.

Called ahead to make a reservation for 3 but they told me to just walk in. To my surprise, the restaurant was empty at 4:30pm on a weekend. At 5:30pm it wasn't even crowded. The Sakura VIP dinner for Two is worth the price for the amount of food. It comes with two plates and each person gets a miso soup and salad. Didn't care for the miso soup and salad- nothing special. Everything else was flavorful. The service was quick and attentive. The restaurant was clean. The food is not cooked in front of you! I thought it was going to be but I didn't do my research ahead of time.

I've been here a bunch of times prior to them becoming an AYCE. We had reservations for the AYCE dinner at 6pm on a Monday. Seemed like the perfect time, the restaurant was pretty empty when we got there but started filling up not too much after. The place is nice and bright without the teppanyaki tables. They still offer the menu but no longer cook in front of you. Our server was great, providing just the right amount of service! My table felt like the sushi we order was just ok. Of the 5 we ordered, the lobster delight roll was the better of the 5. The menu says the California and Philadelphia rolls are cooked but they arrived at our table like regular raw rolls. We did enjoy the all non-sushi items we ordered like the hibachi scallops, shumai, fried oysters, shrimp and vegetable tempura and chicken wings. We probably wouldn't do the premium again, the quality wasn't worth the price.

This location no longer has hibachi cooktop tables! We made a reservation for 7 and we were surprised when we walked in as it was so quiet, and it was just regular dining tables. We chanced it anyways and quickly discovered the food had also changed - the noodles and rice were different and not as flavorful. The steak and shrimp were still good, but it just didn't hit the same. On the positive side the food came out really fast and the service was good. I would only come back here for their sushi menu if I ever returned.

Asked about all you can eat menu with hostess and was seated with dinner menus for the table. When I asked for the AYCE menu server told me they would charge my son full price. Yes, Bro I can afford it. Had to then ask again upon his return for the menu and he told me I would have to go to the front to get it myself from hostess. I ordered one unagi sashimi and hot tea. The sushi came very quickly but the rest of the tables food came nearly 30 mins later after we asked one of the bussers to go please check. XU never came back to check how the food was or refill our waters. I never got my hot tea. So there I sat listening to the music and stared out the window. 5 or more mandatory gratuity. I came for the AYCE and would have ordered a sushi boat for me and my teen but he never came back to take my order. Last ditch effort he did bring my youngest a vanilla ice cream. We won't be back and eat sushi twice a week. Suggest hiring more servers to take the load off of the one we experienced.

I've been to this location a handful of times but recently just went after they took away the tepenyaki style menu. They still offer the hibachi menu they just don't cook it in front of you anymore. The prices are great for the portions. They have combos where you can select your proteins. The seafood sizzling platter was fantastic omg. Drooling. We will try the AYCE sushi next time.

We went the day after Vday and it was a little busy! Had to wait about 20-25 minutes, which wasn't too bad. However the wait was getting longer as more people were starting to show up around 6pm. Had a wonderful server, Alexzandra, who was extremely friendly and attentive! The food was delicious and the dining experience was great!

12 small pieces of Hamachi. 1 order = 2 pieces

Do yourself a favor.... READ ALL THE REVIEWS before coming here. And do not order the Premium menu as they take 10 - 15 minutes to slices 12 pieces of fish. We came in because of the "good reviews" we made the mistake of not reading ALL the reviews. I now know why this place is under 4 stars. It took 15 minutes to get our 6 orders of Hamachi. It's 2 pieces per order and all 12 pieces would be the size of a Big piece in a quality Japanese Bar/Restaurant. I'm not kidding. Pieces were slightly bigger than a quarter/25 cent piece. On average it took 10 to 15 minutes to get the Hamachi. Sushi for other tables did seem to come out quicker. My recommendation is to not upgrade to the Premium $20 more per person as it felt like they were discouraging us from getting the Hamachi. Server even told us that our 4th order of Hamachi might take longer because it's still frozen. I told her that I'd eat it frozen at this point and I seem to have shocked her. I guess she thought the reasoning of frozen would buy the sushi chefs the 15 minutes they needed to slice 12 small pieces of Hamachi. Staff did seem embarrassed to work there and stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've never left a AYCE buffet after 90 minutes and still be hungry. We would literally wait 10 - 15 minutes just to eat Hamachi for 1 minute. Then pass them our empty plate only to wait another 10 - 15 minutes for 12 more small pieces of Hamachi.

Fresh sushi, friendly service, and consistently good food are exactly why we keep coming back to Sakura Sushi & Hibachi. We've visited Sakura Sushi & Hibachi several times, and the hospitality and quality have always kept us returning. On this visit we stopped in for a light lunch and ordered the Sakura Boat, which is the smaller of the sushi boats they offer but still more than enough for two people. The presentation was great and the seafood tasted fresh and clean. Pricing is about what you'd expect from a sushi and hibachi restaurant, but the flavor and quality of the fish make it worth it. For my daughter, we ordered the Hibachi Chicken plate with fried rice. She usually just eats a little bit of her meals, but this time she finished the entire plate--which says a lot about how good it was. The chicken was flavorful and the fried rice was cooked perfectly. Service throughout the meal was friendly, attentive, and very prompt, and our food came out quickly. Between the fresh seafood, flavorful dishes, and welcoming service, it's easy to see why this is a place we keep returning to. Great food, great service, and another solid dining experience at Sakura Sushi & Hibachi. We'll definitely be back again soon.

Made reservations for dinner at teppanyaki/hibachi. Arrive to find out the removed all of the teppanyaki/hibachi tables and everything is now cooked in the kitchen so no show at all. What a huge disappointment as our last experience was great. The food is still good but not to correct temperature when brought out to the table. All three of our meals were cold which is not appetizing. Not sure what prompted the removal of the teppanyaki tables but please advertise on your website that you no longer offer that option.

To preface this, we really enjoy the Mililani Sakura we have gone there quite abit, and this was the 2nd time I tried the kapolei one (1st time since renovation). The kapolei location is slightly more expensive than mililani, but prior to the renovation that was okay to me for the convenience if you live west side. But now after the renovation theres no Teppenyaki show, everything is cooked in the back. But its still priced high like your getting a show. Your paying extra for fake flowers on your plates. If you want to go Sakura, go to mililani. I will not be returning to kapolei.

Worst place to spend a penny for food. After being charged with kids meal $20, and she couldnt finish her food, weighed it to get charged additional $35? Like this is crazy for a meal you wish you will enjoy with family. Skye does not give or handle a good customer service. Looking at the meal - and wanting to try it to recommend to other people - NEVER! Will not RECOMMEND AND WILL NOT HAVE YOU GUYS SPEND MONEY WITH THEIR AYCE. I brought my friends to celebrate mother's day here but worst decision. Their policy is the unbelievable! Not a reasonable "uneatean" policy... a kid for $20, then weigh uneaten $35 extra charge - most expensive fries for kid! Insane...i On top of it, why do I need to pay service charge for $35 waste fee and tax? Definitely not being thought of for food and bev...

To start, all beers on tap were down so had to go with bottled. My orchid cocktail was yummy, we ordered edamame and poke nachos for apps and they were okay, nothing crazy. For our main dishes my dad tried the ultimate ahi trio and for $10 per piece, totaled to $90 he said it was nice to try but wouldn't get again. My mom ordered several rolls and other dishes, the rolls did come in good portion sizes and noted the firecracker roll was spicy. I ordered the wafu steak which was tender but rather chewy, most of the flavor came from the garlic sauce. I expected more from wagyu steak, it did come with 10oz though. My yakitori chicken and green onion was TERRIBLE, it's like they just slapped on sauce to cover how dry the chicken was. The green onion was very skinny and small as well. I only had two pieces before I took it to go. By the time we ate all of that my mom's wagyu friend rice finally came 45 minutes after we ordered and ate all the main meats and fish. It was kind of disappointing because we planned to eat the fried rice along with the other dishes. I will say the presentation of it was fun, they stirred the rice and mixed it in front of us with a hot plate and it would've done well paired with the other dishes. The service was fine, our server was very nice so I have no complaints. But for the total of $280 the food in general wasn't anything special and I did expect more for the taste. Nothing was notably bad (except the chicken) but nothing stood out either.

The only thing we didn't really care for was the wafu-steak. It is served on a cast iron skillet, but it was not sizzling when it came out. They only offer to order it medium, or well done, no in between. The sauce was on the sweeter side, which we didn't care for, and the steak was a little tough on the medium. The rest of the food was awesome: Garlic truffle fries: extra crispy and fluffy on the inside. The fried garlic pieces were so good we ate the whole bowl! Broccolini with maple miso sauce: this appetizer is the cheat code for the scallop entree! You still get that delicious sauce but for half the price. The maple miso sauce is so good I literally would just be happy eating this on its own. Loco moco: this was full of flavor and the two patties were tender and soft. Ultimate comfort food if you don't know what to order. The gravy is also on point. We also tried their tonkatsu before, it's a must order. Thick and juicy! And gotta love the cabbage salad. The dining room can get pretty loud as there is nothing really to absorb the sound, but the booths are pretty comfortable. I recommend driving out to give it a try if you don't live in the area.

Stood at the entrance waiting (I was the first in line) a few minutes to be greeted and recognized but a few staff members just walked past me without saying hello or we'll be right with you. Not a good first impression at start. Shortly thereafter I was greeted and taken to my seat. Which was clean and bright. I frequent the Don Don Donki in Kapolei very often so I walk past this place all the time. And... majority of the time it never looks busy. I finally made the effort to give it a try and OMG, I'm glad I did. The wagyu beef sushi was delicious! Now, as I said earlier. This place looks pricey and I'm not going to lie. It is. A 5-piece tray of their signature wagyu beef sushi that's prepared in five different variations is $19.59. BUT... it was so good that I had to order another. In addition I also got their Ikura Gunkan ($7.99) and their Seared Chutoro Ahi ($8.99). Ikura tasted very fresh. Sadly though the Chutoro was a bit disappointing. The serving I got had lots of Su-gee (fishy veins). So not much fish flesh. Luckily that came towards the end of my meal so it didn't ruin my overall first experience here. Still, at $8.99 for two Chutoro pieces it shouldn't be like that. (Fun Fact: Waka Sakura is owned by the company that also owns all the Don Quijote's. It was originated in Gardena, California. Well...per Google. Lol.) Also tried the wagyu beef sushi roll. That was delicious as well. Topped with bits of crispy garlic and green onions this is a must get. It's basically their one piece of wagyu beef sushi put onto a nori sheet. Nothing fancy shmancy but worth getting for $5.49. Lastly. I tried their shrimp tempura (3 pieces) and chicken karaage (3 pieces). Both were delicious as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place just for the wagyu beef sushi and shrimp tempura. Those two were my favorites. But don't wait too long. The wagyu beef sushi is there only for a limited time. Itadakimas!

We sat at the bar which reminded me of the conveyor belt sushi places but the counter is wood so that makes it warmer and more homey feeling. It did feel like they were able to achieve the perfect balance between a welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, great food and excellent value. For this they really deserve five stars!

If you read the bentos carefully, there is a sticker on some that says multigrain rice. It's the purple rice. Nothing was too heavy and I felt like every dish was very balanced. The chicken oyako don was flavorful and the perfect balance of rice to meat. The miso butterfish was slightly salty but it was excellent. Fish was very tender. The spam musubi was marinated perfectly to me. At first I thought maybe there was too much rice but it was actually PERFECT. Lastly the inari didn't have much meat to it but somehow it was incredibly balanced. The lady was so nice and gave us bottled water with our purchase which was so nice. I wanted to come back soooo bad. I might. I have 10 more hours in the island

The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. They even thoughtfully included bottled water, napkins, and chopsticks with our order. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the value for the price was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Mahalo, Mamaya Kapolei!
