Nothing says welcome home like being able grab a quick lunch at Ninja Sushi after shopping at Costco! It was just what we needed to satisfy a small hunger pang. The service was so friendly and welcoming it was just like coming home to a family dinner! We got a chicken katsu bowl and natto roll so we wouldn't overeat before dinner which was just perfect! Not too big, not too small but just right! And it was all oh so ono too! Perfect katsu sauce flavor and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Parking is a little limited but it is right outside the front door. There are a decent number of tables in the dining room which seemed to be just right for the dine in patrons. There was a constant stream of takeout orders being picked up and or ordered so it is pretty obvious they've got a lot of regulars. I wanted to go back again before we left but just didn't have enough time... But I know we'll be back the next time we're out there! You should go check them out too! read more

Cashier needs training to give simple change. Food mediocre and went downhill, went previously couple weeks ago and had to skip even getting anything because the line never moved. Today Friday 5/23 service was quick thank goodness but the garlic Ahi I ordered... the fish is not fresh and stiff, way too much sauce, and rice is super hard. Super disappointed for 3 pieces for over $8 and I left a small tip so literally three dollars for one piece of sushi, unacceptable, mediocre. No wonder I haven't been back in ages. Have to skip this place from now on. The only saving Grace was the cashier was quick and efficient today. Amazed! read more

Update: I have been to both this location and the Mililani location several times since my last review. The staff here are awesome and quick! Not sure if they switched people with Mililani cause the last time I went there the guy at the order line literally rolled his eyes when I walked in.... I'm pretty sure it's a Gen Z thing or something cause I noticed almost everywhere they don't even tell you "Thank you for coming have a nice day!" My last visit here was a bit disappointing that I dumped half my meal having dry teriyaki that was just being heated up, and chicken being on the rubbery side. Jessie learned not to order those things. I figure to give this place another try looking like they did a rebrand serving alcohol on the other side. However I didn't see anyone there, but the staff seemed more energetic, and more welcoming. This time I tried there sushi and and two of there rolls. It wasn't as spectacular, but good enough to settle my sushi craving Overall it was a change for the better, and will come back again soon read more

The spam musubi is pretty good because it is made with sushi rice, and the spam is dressed with a nice thick teriyaki sauce. The gyoza wrapper is kind of thick, and a not too much filling. The dipping sauce tasted like straight up soy sauce, salty not a sauce ideal for dipping! read more

My significant other and I came at 2pm on Saturday, 10/28/2023. The aunty working the counter was nothing less than kind, friendly, and amazing. Her service was GREAT! I wish I got her name but I hope she gets to hear/see this review because she went above and beyond. And overall, maybe our dining experience perfect. Total for everything was $45, which is great for 2 people who are looking for fast, tasty sushi. Stopped I here while I was waiting for an appointment in the same center. I was looking for something vegan and I figured Ninja would likely have something. Store was very clean and there were a few patrons already enjoying their meals. A small family was ahead of me and were quite undecided about what they wanted and had even more questions and it was about ten minutes in total. The guy helping them was patient and wasn't frustrated or impatient with them. That's speak volumes! The other help behind the counter was also friendly and one was also vegan and knew just what the offering were. I ordered Veggie Tempura Maki and Shinko Hosomaki (Oshinko Maki in Japanese). Both were very good and I especially enjoyed the Shinko. The vinegar/pickled taste was so good. I will be visiting them again soon! read more

I like here because it opens at 10am and that's very convenient for me. It has unique sushi rolls and nice bento and donburi. I like garlic hamachi. It tasted so good. It's $7.99 and has 3 pieces. Some rolls has half & half set (Maki-mono Combo Specials). The base roll is the same but topping is different. You can enjoy two types of roll half portions in one order. I like to variety of flavors so I like this combo. Combos are mostly $9.50 about $1 more than regular rolls but you can enjoy or try 2 flavors. Their spicy ahi is not that spicy but it was good. He decided to order from ninja sushi because he said from more then a year ago, he remembered he liked their sushi. We looked online for a platter, and from experience with other sushi places we thought only 1 platter wasn't enough so we ordered both the ono and o.l.t.d. set and was way more than enough, we could only finish 1 platter. All the sushi in the platter tasted so ono with a blend of different ingredients. One of the best I've eaten for a reasonable price. This ninja sushi is also so convenient because I could shop at Costco waipio while waiting for my order since they are right across from Costco, next to ups and starbucks. Because of covid, they offer take out only. I noticed if I order online, there is a 10 percent surcharge. I called and they said not supposed to have, but to avoid the surcharge I ordered by phone and paid at the restaurant when it was time to pick up my food. My friends and I were looking for a small place that was quiet and had great food. We stumbled upon Ninja Sushi and lucked out as there is such a variety of items- more than just sushi. It made it difficult to decide what to order. The bonus was the friendly service. Mindy has got the right personality to be at the "front line!" Not to mention that the service is also quick. Their sushi is pretty good, so many styles to choose from, from the simple nigiri kine to the more involved and pricier maki kine. Not gonna go into detail for each one I've purchased as sushi is sushi and Ninja gets you exactly that with no frills and nothing overly amazing. It's party sushi, lunch sushi, nothing fancy, but they hit the spot. And it's very easy to order online. My concern is with the lack of service. Every time, and I mean every time (this is at the Mililani location) I've walked up to the register, the reception is cold and not friendly (each time was with someone very youthful). If I'm buying several stacks of sushi and whatever else that turns out to be a big order, at least show a little appreciation for supporting your business, rather than make me feel like I'm inconveniencing you because you have to bag plenty stuff. Parking: This is located in the small lot next to Costco Waipio. depending on the time of day, you could get a front stall parking or you may have to do around. My favorite Ninja Sushi location. Hands down. I love that you can place a phone order, or even better, you can order takeout or delivery through Yelp! This location also has tons of parking. I decided to come here consistently before I wrote a review because fast food sushi scares me. Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you hit the jackpot. Here, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Quality sushi every time I come here. Every. Time. The fish is always fresh and it's consistently fresh, no flukes here. I've ordered their spicy ahi poke bowl and shoyu poke bowl. The portion size is just right for its price point. The spicy has a kick to it the more you eat it which I thought was great. Their nigiris are served in threes which I thought for the price was reasonable in comparison to other sushi spots. We've had the salmon and ebi (shrimp). Both yummy! There is a good amount of sauce on it, however i've noticed the rice to fish ratio is a little off as there is a bit too much rice compared to fish. My boyfriend got the dynamite chicken donburi and for him, there wasn't enough sauce on it. Also, there was a lot of rice compared to chicken as well. However, both were still very good. I'm warning any future customer of the "shady/sketchy" practice when placing an online order with Ninja Sushi. Upon placing my order in the cart, I gave my tip and hit "place my order." Without any indication anywhere, I was hit with a "service charge." This isn't for using a credit card but for ordering online. When I arrived, I asked the staff behind the counter about the service charge, she wasn't aware of any. I was referred to the manager who also wasn't aware of any service charge. He asked for my name and number and said he'll get back to me - that was 4 days ago! So basically if I called in my order and paid at the store, I wouldn't have been charged a "service fee."
