They're always rolling out special items and you can truly taste the heart and soul in everything they make. A very homey and welcoming neighborhood gem. *Taiwanese Fried Chicken Bagel $10 *** If you love basil, you'll be happy to know they use fresh basil to make the spread. I happily devoured it and immediately craved more. Unfortunately it's a limited item, so be sure to check their ig stories or dm them to find out the next available date. *Prosciutto Youtiao Sandwich $15 * Crispy youtiao with prosciutto, burrata and pineapple jam. This unexpected combo actually works so well! *Taro French Toast with Boba $16.5 ** If this is your first time here, ORDER THE FRENCH TOAST. I literally get it every time--the milk tea French toast is perfectly brûléed and topped with taro paste, boba, whipped cream, and salted egg yolk bits. All my favorites in one bite. *Taiwanese Braised Pork Belly $16 * Fatty and full of gelatin, giving that sticky-lips feeling after eating it. I love that their lu rou fan comes with a soft-boiled ramen egg instead of a hard boiled one, and the pickled mustard greens on the side are my favorite part. *Taiwanese Milk Crumb Toast $5 New item! We tried this test version of 奶酥吐司, and it was lowkey addictive. The bread pulled apart just like shokupan. So soft and fluffy.

On the plus side, the hospitality is top-notch; we loved the complimentary Taiwanese kimchi and dessert, and the portion sizes are generous Pork Belly over Rice (4.25/5): The standout! It was packed with flavor, though on the oily side Soft Shell Crab (3.5/5): The crab was well-prepared, but the avocado pairing muted the flavor, making it a bit bland Taiwanese Fried Chicken over Rice (3/5): This was surprisingly sweet for a savory entree, which others may like that Century Old Egg Tofu (2/5): A miss for me, it was served cold and the sauce pairing didn't really work Great service and a lovely vibe overall

Go Go Curry prides itself in its Kanazawa-style curry, which differs from your typical Japanese curry because of the addition of molasses. The pork katsu cutlet was breaded and fried perfectly, the pork itself was juicy and tender, and the sauce is to die for! It was rich, aromatic, and had a wonderful consistency that coated each piece of katsu. Joy, the restaurant owner, was so incredibly nice. We talked a bit after I ate and you could tell each order was made with love! The decor was awesome, with wall paintings of their gorilla mascot and Yugioh playing on their TV screen. I would absolutely come back to NJ to try this curry again! Thank you, Joy!

So glad I tried the veggie tempura, it was not at all what I was expecting, more like shredded veggie patties. Japanese curry seems to be a dark brown sauce with curry seasoning, served over good quality rice. We took ours to go, but there was a small dining area inside. If you find yourself in Newark NJ, give it a try. It's unique and really tasty food!

I really enjoyed it! It came with a side of extra sauce. However, there was not enough veggies! I would've liked to have more steamed veggie on the side. Overall, a good option in this area, especially for a juicy chicken! But definitely not enough veggies.

The order came with a 2oz cup of Spicy Teriyaki Sauce to pour over the chicken, noodles, and veggies. I felt full about 80% of the way through but the food tasted good enough for me to finish the whole thing. The food was properly spicy. The service was friendly and did not take too long to get my order ready. The food was hot and stayed hot as I walked home 10 minutes in the cold. It was served to-go in a plastic container in a brown paper bag. They had chopsticks available to grab and the order came with a fork and a napkin. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that they did not provide a cup of water when I requested one, and it was this lack of a cup of water that was the reason I walked home to eat instead of eating in the restaurant. The ambiance seemed fine and had a standard fast-casual vibe.
