Seafood Boil
Yesenia V.

I love going to buffets that have a family-oriented feel, and this definitely met my expectations. While it costs more on the weekends, they are an all you can eat place which makes it worth it! I paced myself to try the hibachi grill, the salmon, and seafood boil. All of the food has so much flavor! It has yummy desserts to enjoy at the end, including ice cream. The service is timely and mindful, with workers coming to clear the table quickly. It is also a lovely atmosphere to celebrate birthday parties-- my family and I got to celebrate our mom here. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Steve was very kind They have a large selection of meat as well as various food, steak and seafood Place is very large. They have a whole lot of seating and parking is very easy to find. Food was incredible though so shout out to the chefs food tasted delicious!

Food is so hot and fresh, and they have so many choices. They have a lot of workers in there, so place is clean and always has a lot of people. The prices are good.

Today, I went to Sakura Grill & Buffet for my family dinner. It was amazing, they applied 50% discount for my sister's birthday. After paying, they sat me down VERY quickly. They had such a variety of food! You will get the experience of REAL hibachi chef, he is truly amazing! Service was great, all workers were friendly to my family and I. I had A-Lin as servicer, she was funny and very polite. Even when she is busy, she will receive my plate anytime! I recommended this place for everyone. I will definitely coming back next time!

Menu prices. They should add 9$ for BABIES that don't eat because that's what they charged us lol a joke

SHADY BUSINESS! THEY CHARGE FOR BABIES !(9month old) they will say they "don't" but still charged 9$ tip for a place that is self serve ??? They said they charge tip for party of 5+ and they COUNTED THE 9 MONTH OLD as the 5th person .. wth ?? Total was 73$ but I was charged 95$ total after the 9$ tip they added plus tax charges. FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE and NO SOFT SERVE just little cups of ice cream that were nasty and tasted cheap. SUSHI WAS NASTY. DESSERT TASTED LIKE THEY DIDNT ADD ANY SUGAR ?? I wanted to To love this place but CHARGING 9$ and hiding it is real shady!! Don't come here ! They will find any way to charge you more! I like to give my hard earned money to honest businesses not these shady money hungry people ! 0 stars if I could I still can't believe I was charged for a baby that didn't eat ! Smfh

I've been here quite a few times and it has a decent selection of food. It's about what you'd expect from a buffet so you will need to try some dishes to find what you enjoy. I would strongly recommend coming on a weekend since they tend to have a bit more and restock quickly. Also remember to try out the Mongolian grill in the back to create your own dish. The restaurant has lots of families and friends and it's more of a casual spot. Tonight they've been playing all Taylor Swift songs but usually it's top hits music. I'd recommend giving it a try if your in the mood for a casual buffet.

I don't recommend going to this restaurant for a meal. Their service attitude is very bad. Even worse, they don't allow you to eat too much or just have one kind of food. Last 2 week, three of us went there. We had six small plates of crayfish in total. The manager told me: "Don't come here to eat next time." I want to ask, is this our fault?! This is a buffet. Why can't we choose what we like to eat?? Do we have to pay for food we don't like? ! She also complained that we ate too much. In fact, we only had a little. I think she discriminated against us. So this meal made us very unhappy. Also the food is cold and raw. So if you want to there, you have to think about it. Don't eat too much, they will watch you and will make you feel bad.

a variety of food items

As good as this type of casual Asian buffett gets! Food: Pleasantly surprised by a lot of fresh and high quality ingredients and food products!!! Loved a variety of seafood dishes, especially the following... Seafood boil - 5/5 - crawfish was of fresh quality and texture and the seafood boil mild-medium spicy was perfect Salt and pepper shrimp - 5/5 - fresh tasting batch Black bean clams - 5/5 Salt and pepper crab - 2.5/5 - not fresh batch Honey walnut shrimp - 1/5 - way too sweet and portion of breading to shrimp way off Mongolian grill bar - 3.5/5 - decent selection of fresh ingredients to choose from Sushi rolls - 2/5 - very limited selection Fruits - 5/5 - a plentiful variety to choose from Ambience: Typical buffet style arrangement Service: Fast, friendly; no complaints

It looked poppin' earlier today...

Sakura has a wide variety of my go-to Chinese menu items. I was in awe viewing the trays of General Tso Chicken, Fried Wings, Mushroom Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp. I didn't expect the sauce-based wings to taste like Buffalo, but it was pretty decent. In fact, I enjoyed the wings and the imitation crab soup out of the entire buffet. The service was decent. I paid upon entering and requested for a soda (+$2.99). The waitress served me promptly with couple of refills during our lunch. She even served me the obligatory, happy ending fortune cookie on a nice, "tipping tray". lol I took advantage of the Hibachi Chef's services, requesting for a Mongolian-grilled Chow Mein with Steak and Scrambled Eggs. I was glad the Chef had his seasoning/sauce in hand, because I don't recall customers having the liberty of layering their own sauces like in a typical Mongolian BBQ restaurant. I do remember using the ladles of garlic and chili oil though. My Hibachi Chow Mein was a tasteless disaster. Even the steak seemed questionable. The meat was not juicy or succulent at all. I wasn't sure if the staff was hoping to have their customers just pour soy sauce/hot chili oil on their cooked food to compensate for the their tasteless food. Sakura aims for a variety of dished, but serves nearly piss poor quality food. While the variety here was a "plus", the taste and quality on the other hand, was a deep minus.--Sakura deserves 2.5-3 stars. The restaurant was spacious and there were plenty of hungry customers that early afternoon. I was kinda annoyed at another customer sitting right behind me. It felt like our chairs were bracketed together. Every time he got up to scoundrel for food and then sit down to dine, our seats would always budge back and forth. Pretty annoying.

So I'm planning my next trip here this week so I can enjoy the amazing cucumber salad (so fresh, crunchy and garlicky), their pepper beef clay pot (sizzling rice at the bottom for the win and big portions), their spicy tofu (umm what?!? So crispy) and their awesome skewers (the pork belly is my favorite). The space is small, so if you're planning on dining in during peak times, you may want a back up or take it to go as they only have a handful of tables inside and a few tables outside. There is parking but it is shared with other business so can get busy. The service is wonderful! The hostess/waitress was very friendly and everything came out relatively quick. The clay pot does take some time (they need to cook up the rice to get that awesome crunchy bottom) so place your order for that first, and then look at the appetizers and skewers as they come out fast. This was my first trip but will not be my last to Da Fei Ge!

It was nice enough that I tried to come here on a weekend night and it was packed full of families which is great but probably where I should have thought about it more. We went up to the counter and were told to wait a few minutes. I saw that a large table was clearing up so I didn't mind waiting. During this time a group came up behind us and I thought they were after us. One of the server waved in our general direction after cleaning up and splitting the table, so I thought they were gesturing to us since it has already been 10 minutes of waiting. Wrong, it was to the group behind us. Maybe it was communicated in mandarin that they had a reservation, I'm not sure. I waited for the next empty table, which was also taken by yet another group that magically appeared behind us as if they knew they were in line. I decided to leave after this. My issue is that I looked and talked to the staff multiple times and at no point, did they indicate there was a waitlist, nor did they take my name, or anything about people in front of us. It was really frustrating because being told it would be a few minutes set the wrong expectation. This is not the only place to get skewers so if you're left confused where you are in line, just come another weekday, speak mandarin, or go somewhere else like I did

The rice wrapper was thin and the shrimp was meaty and fresh and had a good bite. The beef balls and shui mai were disappointing. The textures were too soft and didn't have much flavor. We ordered a ton of dishes, probably more than two people really needed it, but we wanted to make sure we got to taste some of our favorites. Overall, the dim sum is OK. My husband and I lived in the Bay Area for a while before moving to Davis for school, so our standards are pretty high. Unfortunately this is not going to be my new go to. Although the flavors of the food were pretty OK, we found everything to be really soft. Our shrimp and chive dumplings were literally disintegrating and my chicken feet were too soft. The sticky rice, however, and the tripe were delicious sui mai, and ha gao were pretty good, with the sui mai being pretty juicy. We paid $100 for 10 dishes! I know prices have gone up everywhere but this felt pretty steep. Overall, I don't think we'd come back. I would rather go to South Sacramento and eat dim sum there and then get my Asian grocery shopping done. Restaurant itself looked like a standard Chinese dim sum restaurant. Nothing to write home about.

It's hard to find one that really stands out. Recently my coworkers and I all pitched in on takeout from here for Lunar New Year and ordered five dishes as takeout. One of my coworkers was the one who recommended this spot. Let me just say the food was incredible. The seafood chow mein was the standout dish out of everything. Loaded with octopus tentacles, scallops, shrimp. Feel like half the time you get seafood options these days they skimp out but this place did not disappoint. The fried rice was a little more unique than I've personally tried before with pieces of beef and cabbage. But still very tasty. And the pork dishes we got including the sweet and sour were just incredible. One thing I do want to mention was some pieces of the pork did have a bone attached, but I honestly didn't mind it much. The flavor made it up for it. Also inside of this place looks very modern, clean. Since we only got takeout I can't say for certain service for sit down but ordering and getting our food was simple.
