We decided to try this place, we were the only ones there. It was quiet but nice a little hot inside but the staff was very friendly. We ordered the fried lobster which was delicious especially with the onions and peppers. But my favorite was the garlic green beans so good cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. We also got the salt and pepper chicken wings they were good but I would have loved a little more seasoning even a little more onions with them. The seafood fried rice was good as well the only thing I did not care for were the fried oysters, the flavor was just not there for me. We also got the fried shrimp. All the food was extremely hot and fresh which was a great plus the only thing is I wish it was brought out all together but still over all I'd recommend going if you want a quiet place with good food and great service check it out

01.11.2026 - KING PALACE RESTAURANT - SACRAMENTO, California- my sis n law treated me to DIM SUM - it's so good here - feels so traditional and good tastes so good - the wait help are so nice and the hot tea is so delicious - I really feel right at home and all the familiar Dim Sum dishes are always on point flavors - it's a great place to feel right at home. LOVE IT!

Amazing food and amazing staff. I went here earlier this week to have some brunch with my family for the holidays. We ordered our usual dim sum order: chicken feet, tripe, har gow, sui mai, and the crispy shrimp balls. We also tried some different items we usualy don't get like the shrimp rolls with sweet dark sauce on top and the pineapple bun with the glutenous egg paste in the inside. Overall it was a good experience here today. The staff was nice and helpful. They bring carts with hot and ready dishes to you. There's also other things you can ask it they have and they would help you place an order for it.

We were greeted upon arrival with smiley faces and great services. Food was authentic delicious chicken feet and crispy shrimp roll with chow fun noodles. The full carts are constantly go around with offering various dim sum clean indoor dining.

We haven't been here in awhile, but it's my mother-in-law's favorite place. Celebrated Thanksgiving lunch with the family. Service was quick. Place was well-staffed. Very spacious. Everything tasted delicious. Here are pics of some of our families' favorites.

Wow, My family recently had two wedding services from King Palace restaurant. One happened on Nov, 2025 and the other was on Feb 2026. The foods are not only delicious and tasty but also the service were awsome. This is the lowest price in the area. No one can beat King Palace. The business has ran well for generations. Dim sum is fantastic Family food style also wonderful You can enjoy time with family, coworkers, friends and your love ones ones

Never failed to make our meal so good. One of our most go to place for real, authentic chinese dim sum.

This place always serves the best dimsum. This is one of my favorite dimsum restaurants. There are others that are good in the area, but I feel this place offers authentic dishes and fresh HOT options. I've been to some dimsum restaurants that serve cold dimsum; or you order from a menu, which defeats the dimsum cart experience. They offer menu items as well as group pricing for their items. We ordered various dishes from the cart, and from the menu we had minced beef soup, salty fish fried rice, and crispy Df shrimp rolls . The service has improved so much over the years. The staff (although they don't speak much English) were very attentive and made sure we had hot tea and cleaned our empty trays allowing extra room on the table . I love this place and I hope you all do too!

Have been coming here for a few weekends to get dim sum. Love this place, staff are so nice and always willing to show you some new items to try. Food is great on par with Chinatown in SF, by far the best shu mai in sac. Will continue to visit

TL DR: this place doesn't have the 5 star decor or the nicest bathrooms but it's one of the few places where you will find authentic Cantonese style dim sum in Sacramento. You will have rolling carts, people shouting in Cantonese, and an authentic experience. Food: My favorite thing about this restaurant is the fact that you can order traditional Cantonese style cuisines along with classic dim sum dishes. We normally order a stir fry greens (stir fry pea shoots with garlic), beef chow fun in their gravy sauce, and of course an assortment of dim sum staples. Elite tip for your first time trying dim sum: Har gap- shrimp dumpling Shu Mai - pork, shrimp, type dumpling Baos - assortment some are sweet like the pine apple bun (bolo bao) they have some with yellow custard and red bean paste. We like the ones with custard. Char siu bao - bbq pork buns come in two styles steam with a white soft bread or baked with a honey glazed style bun Dan tat- Egg tarts If you're feeling more adventurous or that you want to expand upon the basics: I. chicken feet (phoenix claws) texture isn't everyone's favorite thing as they gelatinous. You can eat the skin and tendons but spit out the bones II. Tripe (also a texture thing) a light salty ginger flavor profile with the way that it's cooked here III. Stuffed egg plants and bell peppers - assortment of meat with said vegetable IV. Deep fried taro puff with meat V. Bean curd roll There's plenty of other great items, it's really what you and your party prefer. Note dim sum isn't a non fat, keto friendly, gluten free type brunch. The meal will be greasy, salty, and what you expect from a traditional dim sum restaurant. Don't forget you have unlimited tea! Also most staff speak: Cantonese, Vietnamese, and mandarin. English may be a little limited, but the boss (who is a bad ass if you're watch the way she operates her restaurant) speaks english. I haven't seen anyone have issues ordering thing in English, you can also always point. I've been to other establishments and while their bathrooms are nicer/newer or they have more modern decor the flavor has remained the most authentic in Sacramento. You need to give this place a try if you're looking for dim sum!

My husband and I lived in the Bay Area for a while before moving to Davis for school, so our standards are pretty high. Unfortunately this is not going to be my new go to. Although the flavors of the food were pretty OK, we found everything to be really soft. Our shrimp and chive dumplings were literally disintegrating and my chicken feet were too soft. The sticky rice, however, and the tripe were delicious sui mai, and ha gao were pretty good, with the sui mai being pretty juicy. We paid $100 for 10 dishes! I know prices have gone up everywhere but this felt pretty steep. Overall, I don't think we'd come back. I would rather go to South Sacramento and eat dim sum there and then get my Asian grocery shopping done. Restaurant itself looked like a standard Chinese dim sum restaurant. Nothing to write home about.

We ordered two of their standout offerings: 1. Rib Steak with Mixed Mushrooms: This was exceptionally executed. The steak was tender, perfectly cooked, and the rich flavor of the mixed mushrooms complemented the meat beautifully. 2. The "One Live Fish, Two Dishes" Approach: We selected a live black cod ($20/lb) and had the kitchen prepare it two ways. This is where the culinary team shines--both preparations were fresh, expertly seasoned, and utilized the fish to its absolute potential. The interior design is simple and functional--nothing flashy, but perfectly fine for a casual meal or a family gathering. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as the dedicated free parking lot is quite limited, so you may need to hunt for a spot during peak hours. The Drawbacks are Service, Restrooms, and Hidden Fees! While the food hits the mark, the rest of the experience is hit-and-miss. The service lacks consistency. Staff can be attentive one moment and completely absent the next. A major downside was the state of the restroom, which was noticeably stinky and poorly maintained. The most frustrating part of the night came at the end. Despite agreeing on the $20 per pound price for the live black cod to be made into two dishes, the final bill included two completely unmentioned, mystery fees: one for $5 and another for $3. While the amount isn't massive, the lack of transparency regarding upcharges for the two-dish preparation is incredibly unprofessional.

The restaurant itself has always been large, spacious, and beautifully decorated with chandeliers--it's definitely a nice venue for events like weddings. Their taro turnovers have always been a favorite of mine, and even after moving farther away, I still found myself coming back just for them. A few months ago, my husband and I had a really pleasant experience here. We ordered a variety of dim sum and ended up taking some home because everything was so enjoyable. My husband typically orders the spicy orange chicken and has always been satisfied with it. The service during that visit was also great--the server was sweet, attentive, and we even had some fun conversations. Unfortunately, our most recent visit yesterday was a completely different experience. We came in around 11:15 AM on a Tuesday expecting a nice, casual dim sum date. I ordered har gow, siu mai, sticky rice, and shrimp balls with sweet and sour sauce, and we waited for more of the dim sum carts to come around. As usual, I ordered the spicy orange chicken for my husband. It was already off to a rough start when communication with our servers became difficult. There seemed to be a significant language barrier, and it was challenging to get our concerns across. Things went downhill when we received the "spicy" orange chicken. It was not spicy at all and, more importantly, it was severely overcooked--hard, dry, and honestly unchewable. We ordered chicken, not beef jerky. When we brought this up, the staff seemed fixated on the spice level rather than listening to the main issue. They insisted that the dish was already spicy and interpreted our concern as a request for "extra spicy." Both my husband and I can handle spice differently, but we could agree there was no spice present, and that wasn't even the primary problem--the texture was. They took the dish back, and we assumed it would be remade. Instead, it was quickly returned to us with some chili sauce sprinkled on top--the same exact overcooked chicken. I could tell it hadn't been remade because the same broken piece of chicken was still on the plate. At that point, we were frustrated and had lost our appetites. I took the dish to the register myself to explain that the issue was the texture and that the chicken was inedible. It finally seemed to click, and they apologized and offered to remake it, but by then, it felt too late. I'm not one to give third chances when something should have been handled correctly the first or second time. To their credit, they did not charge us for the dish and were apologetic, but the entire experience felt unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. That's not the level of service I expect when I'm paying to support a business. It's especially disappointing because this was meant to be our last visit before moving out of state, and it ended on such a sour note. Sadly, after this experience, I definitely do not see myself returning.

Most things are ready right when you order but because it's made fresh, when they run out there is a wait sometimes. When I got the pineapple buns in my hand they were still nice and warm, a decent size as well compared to some dimsum spots. The filling was nice and sweet, not the typical nai wong custard but a coconut, thicker filling that was nice and sweet. The bread was so soft as well and the crust was nice flaky and crunchy. It was very satisfying to bite into, no complaints here! 9/10 The sui mai was piping hot when I got it as well. They were very big and meaty and so fresh when I bit into them. Super juicy and fulfilling to eat! 8.5/10 Lastly the rice noodles, which are my favorite of all time dimsum foods. The shrimp one had such a good bite to it because of the shrimp. The rice noodles were thin and soft just how I like them! The beef one I wish had a bit more beef/beef flavor to it but still good! Normally, I hit up Yue Huang, but lately it's been giving "long wait, mild heartbreak." So I decided to branch out and found this hidden gem in Granite Bay...and let me tell you...BEST decision. You walk in and BAM!!!! Old school Chinese restaurant vibes. Red booths, classic decor, slightly run down in that "if these walls could talk, they'd recommend everything on the menu" kind of way. And if you know, you KNOW...that's when the food is about to slap. We came with a mission (aka hungry and slightly unhinged) and ordered: baked BBQ pork buns, shumai, har gow, shrimp rice rolls, pineapple baked custard buns, fried shrimp balls, and soup dumplings. Basically, if it could be steamed, fried, or stuffed...we said yes. It's clearly family run, which I love. Mom is running the show like a boss, kids are hustling, and since it was Mother's Day...CHAOS. Delicious chaos. Food flying out, servers holding trays of dumplings like treasures, stopping at your table and you're like "YES, THIS IS MY MOMENT"...and then they walk away to another table. Emotional rollercoaster. So many "Ooooh yay!" followed by "Ohhh man..." But honestly? It just built the suspense. Then OUR food arrived...and our eyes went WIDE. These dumplings are HUGE. Like, "one bite? absolutely not" huge. The BBQ pork buns were soft, fluffy, slightly sweet clouds of happiness. Har gow and shrimp rice rolls were perfectly steamed (no soggy sadness here ). Now, because it was busy, the shrimp had a bit of a split personality...some bites were perfectly snappy and delicious, others were just a little overcooked. Not tragic, just not living their absolute best life. But overall? Everything was GOOD. And then the check came...about $60 for ALL that food. I almost checked it twice like, "Ma'am...are you sure you charged me correctly?" Because that is a STEAL. What really got me though was the family. You could see the hustle, the stress, the love...all happening in real time. Even in the chaos, they were kind, smiling, and apologizing for the wait. That kind of heart hits different. Final verdict: great food, great value, and a whole lot of love. I'll definitely be back to try more of their main dishes. Until next dumpling craving...
