The older lady is vey rude and impatient when taking orders. She rolls her eyes when she's taking orders and when customers asks for more details on the food choices. Came here for a lunch date with my BFF to catch up and we were both pleasantly surprised and pleased with Sakura! We did the AYCE Sushi deal, which is $14.95 on weekends (open at Noon on Saturdays) and $13.95 on weekdays between 11am-2:30 pm. They also supposedly have 50% off Specialty Sushi rolls between 3-7pm on weekdays. We were greeted with smiles and friendly, quick customer service. Seated immediately and served water and the complementary miso soup. Service here was awesome cuz our waitress constantly kept the sushi rolls coming just as we were finishing up and refilled our waters without us asking. Everything here was SO delicious! The Miso Soup was probably the Best I've ever had. When choosing from the AYCE Menu, you're allowed to order 5 items at a time. The Menu is so diverse that you really can try just about anything. I love and prefer how they give you 4-Piece mini Sushi rolls instead of the Big platter sized ones cuz you don't get full as fast and you're able to try more items. I recommend the Sakura Special, Safeway Roll, Dragon Roll, and Gyoza. The Sushi was just enough to leave me happily satisfied, but not overwhelmingly full. Came here on my way to Sacramento on a Wednesday night cuz I was starving and it was dead inside place closes at 9:30. Hostess/server lookin like an asian Don King and didn't say excuse me when she walked between me and register that's when I made my decision to just get something to go instead of eating in. It's ayce but I couldn't eat that much so I got a roll and they are all 30% off. Total was $12something after I paid, Don King didn't even say "ok be about 15 mins," or "alright thank you." Now as I'm writing this review she didn't even give me a receipt! She probly pocketed the 20% from me cuz usually places are 50% off not 30%. Living in the bigger city where fresh produce and a bevy of restaurants to choose from - after moving to Fairfield I thought I'd really have to give that up but when in need of quick sushi fix - this place hits the spot. They have an all you can menu for $20ish which I haven't tried yet, but usually I order rolls and poke salad or lunch combinations and it's satisfying and tasty. The pricing is moderate and fish is fresh. BTW!!! That poke salad - OMG. Like craving for days. It's delicious and refreshing and hits that sashimi craving right in the sucker. Pass on the fried calamari - more like wide strips of rubber, but live and learn and you can't always win them all, but overall that was the only paus. It's more like 4.5 stars because of this honestly. But I'm being bias maybe....because I like crispy tentacles on my calamari usually....eat at your discretion! Eh. That's all I have to say. My boyfriend and I came in for dinner since we were seeing a movie at Edwards and had time to spare and I really wanted sushi (which is an everyday problem I have). The waitress say is quickly and the place was about half way full. We ordered root beers and the waitress informed us that they had all you can eat. I've never had it before so I thought why not. My boyfriend ordered the bento and I started off with unagi nigiri they came out quickly with miso soup which was pretty tasty. Then came the first orders the bento was fine my boyfriend said he has had better. The unagi nigiri was cold and drenched in sticky overly sweet sauce that made it hard to stomach. Next go around I ordered the Sakura special and Travis rolls. The Sakura special was not very good in my opinion maybe it was an off day or something but again the sauce was really sweet and the spicy tuna had a weird taste like it was old by a few days and was starting to turn. Overall it wasn't my favorite. The Travis roll as well just wasn't very good. There was so much rice no wonder I got full fast. Like i said maybe they had an off day but I probably won't come back and I don't think for recommend this place either. If I'm in fairfield and want sushi I will absolutely go to Hinata. read more

My experience at this restaurant was very unpleasant. Ranging from the workers to the food was overall digesting. The way the old waitress was treating my friends and I quite awful. We would show our appreciation by saying, "thank you" and "...please". They did not properly cut the salmon, tuna nor the sashimi which is very unsafe due to it being not good to eat. The fish had an awful aftertaste, which left me feeling sick. I feel like this place is a bit too expensive-considering how their sushi tasted. I was seriously disappointed when I Doordashed my dinner this evening. I had the Golden Roll and the Vegetable Tempura. The food arrived in a timely fashion which was a lovely start. The Vegetable Tempura was flavorless and soggy. The sauce meant for me to dip my tempura in, was completely spilt in the container and the tempura then acted as a sponge, making all the "breading" fall off. It was awful. The Golden Roll was decent. The sauce that is supposed to come on the roll was only on half and lacking on the other, which is upsetting. Then I come realize half my roll is touching ginger and wasabi....I don't eat either of those items and it definitely was not in the description. So those pieces tasted just like ginger. Now here's why I rated 2 stars, - the sauces were just OK and overwhelmed the sushi (my daughter did not like any of the sauces) - the RULES on the back were too extreme such as you have to eat all the rice on your place or they would charge you for it. -the fried banana had a metallic taste and I could not eat it. - and the Finale !!!! the Older waitress with glasses rushed us, forgot two of our orders, did not fill up our waters after the middle of our meal, brought us our check halfway in our lunch, started to clean while we were still sitting down and even said" ALL DONE" !!! . She also did this to two other tables!!! I felt that we had to leave and we were there form 12:38 to 1:29pm. I will have to decline having to eat here again because customer service is everything! This restaurant is a place I have been to in the past but I was very disappointed at the food today. I ordered a sushi roll with salman, tuna, and yellow tail. I asked to add cucumber. There was probably one ounce total of fish in the roll . And about half of that amount of cucumber. They charged me $1 extra for that small amount of cucumber. The other roll we ordered had avacado and we asked them to replace it with cucumber. Again $1 charge which we did not find out until the bill came. I had to really look to find the shrimp in the 2nd roll. We had a hard time flagging down the server to come to our table even though we were the only ones there. He was busy watching a video on his phone. Sure, we got 20% off of the rolls, But there is no way they were worth $12.95 each. I don't know why the food has changed. I'm being nice with the two star review. The service is great. I have been looking for a new sushi spot since Yo Sushi got very meager with their portions. This was our second experience there. First time was pretty good. But this time the sashimi was very smelly and not fresh at all. All the fish was smelly. And even the rice on the rolls was getting mushy, when it's old and starting to turn. I understand they aren't very busy like most places during Covid-19, but the bones we found in the sashimi and the smell was pretty awful. We didn't finish eating our order. I was really routing for these guys to stay open, but we won't go back now. I'm just glad we didn't get sick. read more
